I did a search and couldn't find this posted. (If I've missed it, my apologies to whichever poor Mod ends up having to move it.) USA Today has posted a second set of fan questions, answered by Lost cast members, and since some of it is speculative about S3 I figured I should put it in "Spoilers".

That's a fun little article. I like how Foxy answered the question about Jack and Claire being siblings, I hope we get the answer to that this season.

this is the biggest highlight...

Matthew Fox (Jack)
Q: One of the biggest flashback mysteries was Christian Shepherd's (Jack's father) argument with a blond Australian woman in the episode Two for the Road. Christian wanted to see his "daughter" and the woman would not let him in her house. Wild speculation followed and most people believe Claire could be Jack's half sister. Will there be any more information revealed this season?— Conor Hogan
A: "I have no doubt that Claire is Jack's half sister. Trust me — the people that are creating this story do not throw (stuff) like that around lightly. He knocked on a door and a woman said, 'You're not being a part of her life. I want you out of her life.' People who pay really close attention to the show know that that woman is Claire's mother. And that's why Christian ended up going to Australia. That was put there for people to think that specific thing and so therefore I think that we will find out that that is absolutely true and in fact that her child is Jack's nephew. In my mind, this is a slam dunk! To find out they are actually related by the same father and they don't have any idea — after all their moments during the birth of the baby, is really great stuff!"

along with this:
Josh Holloway (Sawyer)
Q: I am a Lost fan from Norway and Sawyer is my favorite character. My question is do you think Sawyer will ever find out who the REAL Mr. Sawyer is?" — Maryann Bjordal
A: "I hope so. I hope they answer that. I want to see where that plays out. I want to see him face that guy. Maybe it's the bearded guy (Mr. Friendly) on the island. There are probably lots of interesting twists to come in the Sawyer flashbacks."

I really must have missed that? I thought it was all just speculation.

It's us. We pay really close attention, probably more than Mathew Fox.

But, I bet there's gonna be some requests for screen caps of that episode now.

Maybe this is like the "burning cigarette" which they wanted to include, but it made it through editing without it.

There should have been confirmation that it was Claire's mom... but, eh.

have we ever seen claires mum?

other than that person in that episode?

Nope, she's only had one off-island flashback and it included no parents. Maybe that's why she's getting the 2nd ep. So we can see that woman again to confirm. Or maybe they are just screwing with us, damn you fox!!

How do you know? Foxy could be reading these boards as we speak! He could be watching his own performances over to look for improvement and accidentally discover something important!

Actually... having thought about it. You're probably right. What a waste of a post.

Well it seems logical.

A blonde Australian mom, and her boyfriend did talk about "daddy abandonment issues."

didn't we hear that claire's parents might be in her upcoming flashback? Maybe we'll know for sure then. and since matthew fox has been on production sites and all, he probably already knows they're brother and sister. still, it seems a little weird that matthew fox would just admit this to us before the show actually tells us ... couldn't that get him fired?

BTW, i just had to brag and say that I'm the one who posed that question (Conor Hogan) ... I'm pretty darn awesome, aren't i? and humble. :)

I also added a part in there speculating that the newcomer juliet could be his half-sister, but they took that part of the question out. oh well.:rolleyez:

EDIT: Does anybody know if this was actually written in the USA Today and if so, what day. I'd love to save the paper ... It would have my name in it! Thanks to anybody who could help out!

^ Very cool GFP! It's fun being in an article for LOST... see the link in my banner. :)

Fans such as Rob Eichenlaub, a Web designer who clicks on the fan Website lost-tv.com as soon as "Lost" goes off the air, can't wait to log on to get more clues.
"There's something about this big puzzle that everybody wants to be the first to solve," said Eichenlaub, 29, of Hudson, Fla. "If I was alone in it, it wouldn't be so fun. But it sort of sprung up, this whole subculture of fans who really see it like a video game."

The author sent me a few copies of the LA Times article where it was originally published. Now if you Google my name, it's in articles from here to Scotland!

ETA: If ya noticed, I gave props to my fave site, of course. ;)

That's awesome :D

I can't believe that Fox said that, either.

I'm somehow skeptical even though it confirms what most of us believed.

It put bits and pieces we've been discussing into one solid piece of information. Very good catch.

I doubt Matthew Fox would get fired for that. It's only a potential family relationship between the two. Granted, that could change the lives of Claire, Jack, and Aaron, but I don't think much else on the island. There is also the fact that Christian is dead and I doubt Claire had any idea who it is. Chances are, Jack and Claire won't discover the truth if it is indeed true.

That's awesome that you were in that article! Nice!

I knew it!! Mr Friendly's name is Tom Sawyer!!!

Pure speculation, but it is possible.
(Tom Sawyer doesn't wear shoes)

Remember how Matthew Fox pretty much admitted that we wil find out this season that Claire and jack are related? Well, maybe he admitted it because he knew we'd find out in the Season 2 box set. one of the features is:

LOST connections: interactive experience that plants seeds for season three

Maybe the seed planting refers to a big question mark between Jack and Claire? who knows ...

thanks Juanbong for this link..

ALSO: one of the features of the DVD is called "Anatomy of an episode" which sounds spectacular ... unfortunately they picked the WORST episode this season ... Fire + Water ... couldn't they have picked a cool one? Like "The Long Con" or "Lockdown" ... :rolleyez:
