ROBOTS!

If you could adopt a robot as a buddy, what robot would you choose? It can be any robot, from books, film, tv, real-life.

I'd adopt the B-9 robot from the Lost in Space tv series.

I just think he's cool! Plus he can warn me whenever something bad is about to happen: "WARNING! WARNING! DANGER, SILVER, DANGER! Female is about to reject you. That does not compute!" :nanabobo:

ETA: That real-life ASIMO robot gives me the creeps. Anyone else? http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/

Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I dunno what it is about him, he's just a likeable guy!

The T-X from Terminator 3. Can fulfill many functions, like destroying anyone who needs destroying, as well as having a similar purpose to the ones Warty pointed out.

If Data could have gotten his "daughter" Lal to work properly she would be a great one to have. Failing that I'll take an R2 unit. Okay, you can't understand thier beeps and whistles but they come in handy when you need a blast door opened, something any Lost viewer can appreciate.

LOL, naw, I prefer female human beings for that sort of thing... although I might go for a cyborg. Star Trek Voyager - SEVEN OF NINE :itmdrool: She can assimilate me ANYTIME! Resistance is indeed futile!

If you can't tell the difference, there is no difference.

Yes, why? Is the other one a robot too?

What a great movie. Best line: "My evil self is at the door, and I have no power to stop it!"

No it can't because the hand guards would be a major hindrance.

I do however bet it has several ingeniously placed cup holders.

I would be less worried about it kicking my arse than I am about it shoving that pole up it.
