I first heard of Lost back when Dom joined the cast, and would've been interested in any Dom project... but when I heard that JJ Abrams was involved I got more interested. (I've never gotten into Alias, but I recognize its quality). And when I heard Naveen Andrews was also among the cast, I got even more interested. As I found out more about the show, I started to get intrigued by some of the other cast members as well.

And now it's finally here! And every bit as good as I could've hoped for - and obviously from the ratings, North America agrees with us!! *happy dance*

Hi, I'm Jen. I live in Dallas, and just happened to sit down and watch Lost with my step-dad because he wanted someone to watch TV with. As you can tell by my number of postings, I have become quite the Lostaholic. From this show I have recently discovered Dom. :D Never paid much attention to him in LotR, (I couldn't ever tell Pippin and Merry apart). But now I really like him, and am very happy for starDom.

I'm a 24 year old receptionist that takes a college class on Tuesdays and Thursdays (you may hear me talk about doing my homework). The rest of my time is spent on Lost or watching a few other shows (oh and I belong to Netflix, so I watch 3 movies a weekend). I guess, apart from Lost, my life is kinda boring. But now I have a new purpose in life! Get Lost!

I am Lothiriel and came to Lost by way of my interest in Dominic Monaghan. I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings (LOTR) and loved Dom in his role as Merry in those movies. Also, I enjoyed Emilie De Ravin when she appeared as Cornupiera (sp?) in the Beastmaster. I also watched her in Roswell when she was on that program but did not like her character as much as the one she did in the Beastmaster.

By the way of background for those of you who are familiar with LOTR, Lothiriel was the Princess of Dol Amroth who married Eomer, third Marshall of the Mark after the War of the Ring. Eomer became King of Rohan when King Theoden died at the hands of the Witchking in the Battle of Pelennor Fields. When Lothiriel married Eomer she became the Queen of Rohan.

If anyone cares, Im from WV and will be 23 on May 13. I work a vet's office, which I love but I dont get much $$$. I graduated last May with a degree in Computer Information Science. I just realized I never introduced myself. I'm Christy, live in PA with my husband and my cat, and am back in school working on an MFA in creative writing.

I am a huge fan of Buffy. Lost is the best show I've found since Buffy went off the air. There is finally a reason to watch network TV again. :)

I spend my free time (when I have some) reading, writing, and reading some more. I read everything... literary fiction, short stories, genre fiction (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, mystery and even romance), nonfiction (particularly memoir) and computer manuals (though the last is only because hubby leaves them in the bathroom.)

Never thought about it before, but Cat gives some great advice. Yeah, it may look busy for the newcomers, but this is the slow time. Think I'm kidding? Be here when Episode 1 of Season 2 airs, no not after, the day before! :)

It takes a while to find your way around. I've been here since January and I've finally completed my goal of visiting every area of the board within the past 3 weeks! Yeah, most of that was my fault but it is pretty extensive once you get to snooping around. Once you know the site, you'll be able to help the future newcomers when they get here, and yes, they'll get here, trust me! This board had no where near 7700+ members when I found it. It's doubled in size and that was during the second half of Season 1 and the offseason. Once the DVD hits and S2 begins, trust me, like Cat said, it will happen.

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking on this board for a few days. I can’t read too much because I’m not completely done watching the First Season.

My closest friend had been raving to me about Lost since it went on the air, but I’m the type of person who refuses to pick up a show in midseason, even if I’ve only missed a couple of hours. He wholeheartedly agreed that would be a bad thing.

So I waited until the DVD release and watched the Pilot last Tuesday. Okay, I’m hooked. Over the course of 3 days, I watched Discs 1-2 in their entirety (up thru ‘Confidence Man’). When the weekend rolled around, I turned my fiancée onto the show, too. I started her at the beginning, as a good sponsor should. So, between Saturday & Sunday, we watched 12 hours (‘Pilot’ thru ‘Whatever the Case May Be’). Okay, she’s hooked too.

I didn’t mind watching any of those episodes again, because the look of wonder on her face as the story unfolded made it worth it. The reveal that showed Locke in his wheelchair is a goosebump moment (watching ‘Walkabout’ a second time, all the clues are there: he’s shot with his foot in the foreground at least 3 times--the tread on his shoe is pristine, etc etc).

So far, my favorite episode has been either “Walkabout” (for the above reasons) or “House of the Rising Sun.” I think the Korean Couple’s story is fascinating, and I hope their story gets revisited. More posts on that episode in the appropriate thread. My friend was right--this show is deep, deeper than the deepest part of the deepest ocean.

About me? I’m 36, male, a Manufacturing Engineer in Chicago, engaged to the greatest woman on the planet, my favorite movie is Goodfellas, and I think ‘Family Guy’ is one of the funniest shows on Television. I watch 24, The Shield, The Sopranos, The Wire, and Curb Your Enthusiasm religiously. I used to drink too much, but that was a lifetime ago. Oh, and if you grasp the significance of my username, you know which way my musical tastes skew.

Ok, I'm new to the board, but not to Lost. I've been watching since the pilot first aired. About me...well, my name is Jason and I am a 21 year old Senior in College. I go to the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. I'm from Union, SC though. I'm a Theatre Major and a Communications Major. The Comm degree is so i can pay the bills while i'm auditioning. I graduate in May and then its off to LA. Might as well dive stright into the deep end I figure. As for my favorite episode, it has to be Walkabout. You can guess who my favorite character is then. But yes, i look forward to posting on here and having some fellow Lostaways to talk about the show with.

ALOHA from "The Island"! I'm Chris & I'm officially a Lost junkie. I had never watched the show before the 1st season came out on DVD 'cause I'm the kinda guy that likes to know the whole story. Working for a tour company, I have the privilege of passing by Kualoa Ranch (where some filming took place) on almost a daily basis. I missed the autograph session when the cast showed up at Hilton for the Hurricane Katrina benefit 'cause I was working, but it's all good; I heard there was gonna be a 1st showing of the 2nd season premiere at Sunset on the Beach in Waikiki before it airs on TV but I'll be working on that day.. arrghh. Anyway, showcasing Hawaii's natural beauty in a show worth watching makes us Hawaii people really happy. I'm anxious to watch the 2nd season premiere. Laters & aloha.

Hey, I saw Joss (as well as "Captain Tightpants") in Edinburgh a month ago! Only briefly, outside the cinema, when they were on their way in for Joss' talk. Unfortunately I didn't have anything for them to autograph, but I did get pics. Only just caught up with Firefly on DVD, great series. I very much hope I'll get to see Serenity, but it opens here the week before I go to New Zealand so I'll have to wait and see if I our craptastic cinema shows it at all...

Aloha, I'm Jauntie. I live on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. I was fortunate enough last season to get to watch an episode of LOST being filmed back in the "jungle" where they film the hatch scenes.

I do see few of the cast members at Starbuck's and at the local restaurants but other than just saying hi and smiling, letting them know I recognize them I don't bother them.

I just think it's kinda cool that the show is being filmed so close to my house and that everyone can enjoy the beauty of Oahu, and especially the North Shore, each week.

I just found this board and after spending about an hour checking out different threads I amazed at all the details and theories I've missed. I've watched every single show and can't believe I've missed so much. I guess I'll be watching much more closely from now on!

I'm another newbie to your fold, with much reading to do before posting anything other than this!

I have been a fan of LOST for, erm, ONE WEEK now! I totally dismissed it when I heard of the show last season (I don't even watch much TV) as a "Drama Survivor".

Over the summer, I started hearing mention that the show was nothing like that, and had some incredible secrets. I can't resist incredible secrets!

Tuned in last week, caught the recap show, and I was hooked within 10 minutes. Slapped myself for missing this. By the end of the Season 2 premiere, I was a full-fledged maniac over LOST. Spent the last week catching up on the Season 1 DVDs. My mind is so swimming.... I love it!

Thanks for this board, hope to learn a lot and hopefully add something useful to the conversation someday!

Well mystjade I guess saying I met Joss and Nathan would be an exaggeration - they were on the way in (separately, about half an hour apart), and it was just long enough for me to snap two pictures and they were gone. :) I was there for Elijah Wood's film, Green Street (for the Brits)/Green Street Hooligans (for the US folk). :)

You got to interview Adam Baldwin?! Love Jayne, he totally cracks me up! I'm a pretty new convert, got the Firefly DVDs about two months ago maybe, and I love it! I'm Tom. aka SoundTheToll (ala "Big" Ben Wallace of the Detroit Pistons.) aka STT. I moderate at the detroitpistons.com messsage boards, so that takes up alot of any free time that I have.

I joined here during last season but was too busy to really get into the forum. I came back this summer when the DVDs came out (and there was less traffic) and have now made lost-tv.com part of my daily routine.

Some of you people amaze me with you unbelievable dedication to the details of this show. Sometimes (okay most of the time) I think the show is beign over-analyzed, but I still am impressed with the dedication to the show. (And I know about dedication, I'm a Detroit Lions and Tigers fan :D )
