Day 1 (September 22, 2004)
Pilot (part 1)
As other survivors run from the crash scene, Boone applies CPR to an unconscious (dead?) black woman (Rose). Boone ducks as debris from an explosion falls close-by. Jack rushes up and stops Boone as he tells him "her head is not tilted back far enough, you're blowing air into her stomach". As Jack starts administering CPR, Boone says that's exactly what he was doing - he's a licensed lifeguard. Boone ignores Jack's comment about giving his license back and suggests they do a "hole thing" - sticking a pen in her throat (emergency tracheotomy). Jack agrees and sends Boone to get a pen. Boone gets up and starts asking other survivors for a pen.
Boone finds Jack staring into the interior of the wrecked fuselage. He offers Jack a handful of pens and comments he didn't know which one would work best. Jack takes the pens, then tells Boone "they're all good" and walks away. Boone stares into the fuselage at the carnage within.
As the sun sets, Boone walks past Sayid adding wood to a fire. Boone has a cell phone and is walking around trying to get a signal.
That night, Boone approaches Shannon as she sits near a fire. He offers her a candy bar, but she refuses. He pushes for her to take it a couple times, but she nastily refuses. So, Boone unwraps the candy bar and begins to eat it in front of her.
Loud noises ring out from the jungle. Boone gets up and moves closer to the tree line with other survivors and listens to the mysterious sounds as trees are falling to the ground.
Day 2 (September 23, 2004)
The next morning, Boone stands near Rose while she and a group of survivors discuss the strange sounds everyone heard last night.
REDSHIRT: It didn't sound like an animal, not exactly.
ROSE: That sound that it made, I keep thinking that there was something really familiar about it.
REDSHIRT #2: Really? Where are you from?
ROSE: The Bronx.
REDSHIRT: Might be monkeys. It's monkeys.
REDSHIRT #2: Technically, you know, we don't even know if we're on... (an island?)
Then Boone walks over to Shannon and begins to talk to her.
A short time later, Boone is seated in a circle listening to other survivors talk about dealing with the dead bodies in the fuselage. Jack approaches and informs the group that he is going to go look for the cockpit in the hopes of finding the transceiver to send a rescue signal. Jack turns to Boone and asks him to keep an eye on the wounded and tells him if the marshal wakes up, just keep him calm and don't try to remove the shrapnel.
Boone nods his head and indicates he understands. Then Boone asks about the guy with the tourniquet on his leg. Jack tells him that he stopped the bleeding and removed the tourniquet last night. The guy should be all right. Boone replies, "Yeah, cool. Good job."
Later, the sky darkens and torrential rains begin to pour down. Boone and Shannon run toward the fuselage for cover, but Hurley tells them they don't want to go in there - too many bodies. Boone stops and stares after him.
1.02 Pilot (part 2)
Boone approaches Shannon, who is sunbathing on the beach. He tells her that they (meaning he and other survivors) are going through clothes and sorting them and then he sarcastically quips, "I see you found your bag." Then he asks Shannon if she wants to help. Shannon replies, "Not really. You're wasting your time. They're coming." Boone stares at her for a moment and then turns and walks away.
Later, Boone stands next to Shannon and other survivors gathered around Sayid and Sawyer who are fighting. Jack arrives with Kate and Charlie and helps Michael pull them apart. Kate informs everyone they found the transceiver but it's not working. Boone approaches Jack and asks if they found the cockpit. Jack turns to him and nods. Boone then asks if there were any survivors. Jack shakes his head and quietly says, "None." At this news, Boone closes his eyes and sadly bows his head.
Later on that day, Boone walks over and sits down next to Shannon, who is crying and staring at a dead body laying on the beach. He sits quietly for a minute and then asks her what she is doing? Shannon, crying, tells Boone that she was mean to the person at the gate that wouldn't let them have their seats in first class which saved their lives. After a minute, Boone kneels and tells says, "C'mon Shannon, we're trying to clear some of the wreckage. You should come and help out." Boone rises and starts to walk away saying, "You're just being worthless over here." This starts a yelling match between the two:
SHANNON: I'm being what?
BOONE: What do you want me to say? You're sitting on your ass staring at bodies.
SHANNON:: I've just been through a trauma here, okay?
BOONE: We've all been through a trauma. The only difference is, is that since the crash you've actually given yourself a pedicure.
SHANNON:: You know what? It is so easy to make fun of me. You're good at it. I get it.
BOONE: I wish I didn't have to waste my time making fun of you. I wish I didn't have a reason. And yeah, it is easy, Shannon.
SHANNON:: Screw you, you don't have the slightest idea of what I am thinking.
BOONE: I have more of an idea than you think I do.
SHANNON:: No, you don't.
BOONE: Okay, Shannon. Then what are you thinking?
Shannon glances over at Sayid and Kate preparing to leave on the hike. Then she turns back to Boone and spitefully tells him, she's going with them. Boone tries to stop her, but she runs past him over to Kate and Sayid. Boone follows her over there and the argument continues with Shannon insisting that she's going with them while Boone insists that she is not. After Charlie joins the group, Kate announces that everyone can go but they are leaving right away. Then she and Sayid turn and walk away. Shannon, Boone and Charlie follow.
As the group walks through the banyan trees, Sawyer joins them and takes the lead. Later, the group climbs the steep mountainside using tree roots to help pull themselves upward. Boone tries to help Shannon on the climb, but Shannon brushes off his hand and accepts Sayid's assistance instead.
Once on level ground again, the group makes its way through the jungle. Sawyer tells Sayid since it's wide open ground, to check the radio. Sayid protests, saying that the signal is still blocked by the radio and he doesn't want to waste the battery. Boone just shakes his head as the two begin to argue and shout again, when suddenly a loud crashing sound is heard!
Startled, they all turn in the direction of the noise. They all hear a low growl accompanied by rustling noises. Realizing that something is coming, Boone grabs a screaming Shannon and both of them run back through the jungle after Charlie, Kate and Sayid.
Everyone stops and turns back as gunshots ring out! The group returns to the area they left, Boone in the lead, to find Sawyer standing (gun in hand) gazing at a dying animal.
Shannon stares in disbelief, then mutters, "That's a big bear." Boone asks, "Think that's what killed the pilot?" Kate looks at Charlie and gaining his voice, Charlie says, "No. That's a tiny, teeny version compared to that." Kate, staring at the bear, stammers, "Guys...this isn't just a bear.......it's a polar bear."
Boone examines the animal and drawing back says, "That can't be a polar bear." Sayid and Kate reply in unison, "It's a polar bear." Shannon then says, "Yeah, but polar bears don't usually live in a jungle."
Boone stands next to Shannon, listening as the conversation turns from the polar bear to the gun Sawyer used to kill it. The accusatory argument between Sayid and Sawyer resurfaces and when Sawyer turns his back to Kate, she grabs the gun from the back of Sawyer's pants and points it at Sawyer. She then asks if anybody knows how to use a gun. Charlie, motioning with his hand, quips, "I think you just pull the trigger."
Sayid, after glancing at Charlie, says, "Don't use the gun." Kate tells them she wants to take it apart. Sayid then explains how to dismantle the gun, which Kate does. Boone watches as Kate then walks off to the side by herself.
Later, the group is walking up hill through a clearing. Sayid takes a look around and removes the transceiver from his backpack. Sayid checks the radio and stops, muttering, "Bar." Then he shouts to everybody, "Hey, we've got a bar!" Boone runs to Sayid as he tries to tune in the signal.
Sayid holds the transceiver and speaks into it, "Mayday! Mayday!" A loud screeching noise blares into his ear and he yanks the transceiver away.
Kate asks what the noise is and Sayid responds, "Feedback." Sawyer then insinuates that Sayid didn't fix the radio. Sayid then tells everyone that the radio is not broken - they can't transmit because something else is already transmitting from close by!
Sayid tunes the signal in and picks up a woman's voice speaking in French. Everyone is elated, thinking that they will be rescued. Kate admits that she never took French and asks what the woman is saying. Sayid looks around and excitedly asks if anyone speaks French. Boone points to Shannon and says, "She does." Shannon starts to stutter and deny speaking French. Angry, Boone approaches her, shouting, "What the hell are you talking about? You spent a year in Paris." Shannon bites back, "Drinking!...not studying!"
Just then, a male voice breaks into the transmission and says, " Iteration 7294531".
Alarmed, Charlie asks, "What's that." Before anyone can answer, Sayid starts groaning, "Oh no, no, no, no. The batteries are dying!" Boone grabs Shannon by the arm and growls, "I've heard you speak French! Listen to this. Listen to it!" With time running out, the group convinces Shannon to try translating the transmission. The male voice breaks in again and says, "Iteration 7294532". Then the female voice begins again. Shannon tells the group that the message is repeating.
Sayid agrees and tells the group the next number will end in 533. Just then the male voice says, "Iteration: 17294533." Sayid continues and says, "It's a running count of the number of times the message has repeated. It's roughly 30 seconds long so, how long...?" As Sayid tries to estimate the number of times the message has repeated, Shannon attempts to translate the message.
Shannon's translation:She's saying, she's saying: "Please help me, please come get me
I'm alone now, on the island alone. Please someone come. The others, they're, they're dead. It killed them. It killed them all.
(commentary:Here is a full translation from the DVD as posted by equinox) (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=84104&postcount=402)
The rest of the group grows somber as they listen to the translation. When Shannon finishes, a Boone quietly tells her, "That was good." Following a brief silence, Sayid says, "16 years and 5 months, that's the count." Boone asks Sayid, "What the hell are you talking about?" Sayid replies, "The iterations. It's a distress call, a plea for help, a mayday. If the count is right it's been playing over and over for 16 years."
Boone then asks if someone else was stranded there and Kate hopefully comments, "Maybe they came for them?" Sawyer replies somberly, "If someone came why is it still playing?"
Hopelessness steals its way into the the minds and hearts of the small group. Charlie looks all around and says, "Guys, where are we?"
1.03 Tabula Rasa
Boone, Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Shannon and Charlie are walking back to the beach. Boone comments that it is getting dark. Sawyer tells him to pick up the pace. Boone mutters, "Dick." Sawyer turns and looks coldly at him and says, "Little louder?" Sayid remarks that they should make camp. Shannon and Sawyer object but Sayid tells them they don't want to walk through the jungle in the dark as what is knocking down trees will get them. Kate agrees with Sayid and they begin to make camp.
Boone sits around the campfire with the other members of the group. Sayid illustrates their plight and describes the flight's crash incorporating the pilot's information of losing radio contact after six hours and being 1000 miles off course. Then Sawyer interjects, "Okay, really enjoyed the puppet show. Fantastic. But we're stuck in the middle of damn nowhere. How about we talk about that other thing? You know that transmission Abdul picked up on his little radio? The French chick that said, "They're all dead." The transmission's been on a loop for. . . how long was it, Freckles?"
After Kate replies 16 years, Boone says, "well, we have to tell the others when we get back." Shannon looks meanly at Boone and asks, "Tell them what, exactly?" The two begin to argue and Sayid, raising his voice, says, "No one's going to tell them anything." Boone listens intently as Sayid continues, explaining news of the transmission will only cause a panic and dash everyone's hope of rescue. Kate then says, "So, we lie."
Later that night as the members of the group lay sleeping near the campfire, someone quietly approaches Sayid and removes the ammunition clip from his pocket. Sayid awakens and grabs the thief. It's Boone!
Sayid shouts, "What are you doing?" (The commotion awakens everyone else.) Boone, taking a step back, says defensively, "Standing guard!" Pointing with the gun toward the jungle, he continues, "You heard what they said is out there." Sawyer (in disbelief) interjects, "You took my gun off me, boy?"
Shannon looks at Boone and says defensively, "Please, you've never even held a gun!" She turns to the group and continues, "He doesn't believe in guns. He goes on marches." Boone retorts, "I don't go on marches!"
Sayid quietly tells Boone to give the gun back to him. Sarcastically, Sawyer quips, "Yeah, give it to Al Jarzeera, he'll protect us." Charlie quickly interjects, "Al Jazeera is the network." Boone, standing fast, says, "I'll keep the damn gun!" Shannon then says (pointing to Kate), "We should give it to her." Everyone looks at Kate. Charlie turns back to Boone and says, "Yeah, Kate should hold the gun." Sayid agrees, "Fine with me." Everyone stares at Boone as he looks around at them. Sayid then says firmly, "Well?" Boone reluctantly walks over to Kate and gives her the gun.
Day 3 (September 24, 2004)
The following day, all of the survivors gather around Sayid, who along with Kate, Sawyer, Charlie, Shannon and Boone have returned from their trek to high ground. Sayid tells everyone the agreed upon lie:
As you and the others know, we hiked up the mountain in an attempt to help the rescue team locate us. The transceiver failed to pick up a signal. We weren't able to send out a call for help. But we're not giving up. If we gather electronic equipment - your cell phones, laptops - I can boost the signal and we can try again, but that may take some time. So for now, we should begin rationing our remaining food. If it rains, we should set up tarps to collect water. I need to organize 3 separate groups. Each group should have a leader. One group for water - I'll organize that. Who's going to organize electronics? You? Rationing food? Okay. And I believe a third group should concern themselves with the construction of. . .
While Sayid is speaking, Boone stands at the fringe of survivors gathered around him (Sayid). Boone lowers his gaze to the ground and appears uncomfortable about not sharing the truth with the other survivors.
Later on that day, there's a sudden downpour and Boone and Shannon run for cover amid the debris on the beach.
As night approaches, Boone sits (deep in thought) staring into the flames of his campfire. In the distance, the suffering marshal cries out in pain. Shannon hurries over toward Boone to get something out of her luggage. Kneeling behind Boone, she glances back in the direction of the makeshift infirmary and says, "I wish he would just die already." Without taking his eyes off of the fire, Boone responds, "Real humane, Shannon."
Day 4 (September 25, 2004)
It's morning and Shannon, looking sad, is sitting at her campsite. Boone walks up behind her and hands her a pair of sunglasses. Pleasantly surprised she takes the glasses and turns to say something to Boone, but he is already walking away with a knowing grin on his face.

Day 69 (November 29, 2004)
3.03 Further Instructions
(Locke has entered the sweat lodge, taken an hallucinogen and is staring at the fire. Suddenly a hand clasps his shoulder! Locke turns and sees Boone, who greets him, saying, "Hi John".
Boone tells Locke that it's good to see him again. After Locke mouths the words, "I'm sorry", Boone (mocking Locke's earlier words) says, "Oh...you're sorry....that's okay. I was the sacrifice the island demanded." Locke tries to speak again but is still unable to utter a sound. Boone tells him, "Don't worry; you'll speak when you have something worth saying. I'm here to help you find your way again. So you can bring the family back together." Boone smiles and then says, "Come on, I want to show you something."
When Locke is unable to move, Boone points to a wheelchair and tells him he's going to need it.
Then we see Boone pushing Locke (dressed as he was in the sweat lodge) through the Sydney airport. Boone tells Locke:
John, someone in this airport is in serious danger. You are the only one who can save them.
Locke points to Charlie, Claire and Aaron (seemingly a happy young couple with an infant). Boone says, "Not them, they'll be fine -- for a while"
Boone then dismisses Locke's indication of Sayid, Jin and Sun as being in danger, saying, "I think Sayid's got it."
After Locke looks all around in bewilderment, he spies a very jovial Hurley, dressed as an airline employee and entering the numbers into a terminal. Boone tells Locke, "Not Hurley."
Boone and Locke both stare at Desmond, dressed as an airline pilot, and flirting with three attractive female flight attendants. Boone flatly comments, "Forget it. He's helping himself."
Boone wheels Locke over to a glass partition. Locke sees Kate, Sawyer and Jack going through the security line. Locke becomes extremely agitated when he sees Ben, dressed as a airline security guard, passing the security wand over Jack. Boone frowns slightly and shaking his head back and forth, tells Locke, "There's nothing you can do for them." After pausing for a moment, Boone says, "Not yet. First you have to clean up your own mess." Boone's last words, "clean up your own mess", echo over and over again.
Boone comes around to the front of Locke's wheelchair and bends over with his hands braced on his knees. Boone tilts his head to one side and looks sympathetically at Locke and disappears.
Locke is at the bottom of a bank of escalators. Looking up, he sees Boone at the top. As Boone motions for Locke to join him, he says, "Come up here, John."
Locke lays on the escalator and when he reaches the top, drags himself forward. He places his hand is a small pool of blood and notices Eko's blood-covered stick laying in front of him. Locke hears Boone tell him to clean it up. Locke looks up and sees Boone, covered with blood from long gashes on his face and torso. His ripped shirt looks clawed. Boone stares at Locke solemnly and then says, " They've got him. You don't have much time."
Boone then appears to be quickly pulled backward and then disappears.
End note: Many thanks to spooky and her hard work on the transcripts. You are awesome!
