okay, this is only for people who cannot stand these two newbies who recently popped up out of nowhere... if you like them you are certainly entitled to that opinion but please start your own message thread :D
Dump these two. C'mon ABC, Carlton & Damon... we've got characters that we have invested two seasons worth of time in who barely make an appearance... Hurley hasn't said anything but "Dude" this year, and I think Claire has only had one line. Where are Jin & Sun now? I think Jin would have been in on the search...
We also have a new cast in the Others which are much more crucial to the story line than a couple of redshirts coming into the picture just because ABC (mistakenly) thinks they can boost ratings with a couple of hotties... I had much rather see backstory on Ben or Juliet than N & P. And where is Danielle?
TPTB, drop Nikki and Paulo from the storyline!

the guy messing with his hair just shows his lack of interest in being with the group and more with himself, which is the reason why he hasnt been involved with the "in crowd" since now.

:yeah: I'm stilling hoping I'll warm up to them eventually, but at this point they're just annoying and unnecessary. Now, if they were given more interesting action and dialogue, that may help... But writing them as testing out the bathroom and the chair is not exactly helping.

Oh my gawd - I thought I was going to puke. I love everything about this show yet when those two just popped up - I was a hater.
We are invested and love Locke, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Charley, Desmond, Ben, etc. These new two punks gotta go. I was hoping they would be like extras on Star Trek being beamed down and smokie would wipe 'em out right then and there. TPTB if you're listening - put us out of our misery!!!

Paulo is a waste so far, but we should give him a few more episodes (think Jin). Nikki is a waste, but she is smokin' hot, so she gets at least a full season to either develop into a legit character or to make out with Kate.

My hunch is that these two will not survive the season. I'm not a hater by any means. I just see them as Artz-like in their purpose.

I dont like them. I tried to be nice and say that I'd have to see more of them to decide, but last night's episode ruined their chances. If they last the season, I'll be pissed.

i actually kinda thought "... the bathroom still works" line was funny as hell. but yeah, their being here all of a sudden is a big grain of sand in my kit-kat bar.
and when nikki first yelled "When were you going to tell us this, hurley?" it's like, "Who the hell are you?"

You know how I always went on about having a thing for latin women. :itmdrool: And, that was one of the reasons I loved Ana-Lucia/Michelle Rodriguez.
Well, with a last name of Sanchez, I'm going to make the assumption Niele's latin too. But, because of how she was thrust upon us in a most unbelievable way, it doesn't make a difference. I hate this character with a passion. Plus, so far, she couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. :mad:

She's half Puerto Rican, half French. I don't think it's her acting but the lines the writers have given her.

If she'd been around since the beginning, it would have been fine. But to have her show up and expect us to accept that she'd been sitting quietly in the background all this time is completely unrealistic.

Hello, my name's Nikki!!!! the producers are passing me off as a free spirit, who likes adventure, and guess what I'm sooo smart, I notice there is more than one TV, and that maybe it has a use...
well, when your only priority in life is colour co-ordinating your boyfriends clothes with your own...
There is no indication that she has been of any use throughout the series, and all the decent characters grew out of playing golf in the first series!

Maxwell's idea is brilliant--imagine if Sun and Jin had gone along on the Pearl mission, and we'd never known Nikki and Paolo. Jin actually had a relationship with Eko from their Michael hunt and earlier trek.
Or Jin and Charlie.

i have no idea where it would go except for here. a thousand apologies if this is not the right place.
but i can't stand this horrible character!!!!! from her whiney, who-the-hell-are-you entrance to her playing little recap narrator to the almost equally horrible new character guy, i just want to put my boot through the tv screen. (and i have one hell of a nice tv, mind you.)
had they introduced this young hot chick character as hanging out with claire and baby sitting, or mooning over desmond i prolly would've tolerated her more. it would have been a more organic entrance. now, i am considering doing to the first part of the season what some folks did to the Phantom Menance. (big hint, she's Jar Jar.)
BOO to nikki. the only way to redeem her in my eyes is to have her lose her voice (hey, afflictions are THE thing de jour.) if she would just shut up already, i may care. but prolly not.

Just to remind Nikki that I hate her just as much as I hate Paulo (although the Paulo thread is more entertaining) I was hoping that the little inventory duties that they were performing would attract another missile, or whatever that whisting bit of destruction was. Hurley would have committed suicide afterwards, but is that really such a huge price to pay for the immediate demise of P&N?
