Time Travel

I liked the time travelling theory. Yes, they were all PREVIOUSLY in 2004 but the island is obviously magical in some way. We have a Polar Bear, a man who can walk (who couldn't before), and a Monster. There's a chance that they are at any point in time ON the island.

My monster theory is that there are more than one species. I think the one in episode 1 was a carnivore (obviously) while the one we 'didn't see' in episode 4 was one of the herbivore ones. I am not trying to say that his is Jurassic Park or anything but it explains why he wasn't eaten in episode 4.

I bet some people would love to disagree with you about the island being magical.
There's still room for explanation - granted, it's an odd chance, but still existent.

I hope it's not some hocus-pocus, because the show seems to down-to-earth in its roots.

If the monster was a carnivore wouldn't he have eaten the pilot instead of just mauling him to death?

There could be some time travel aspects to all this. For example, maybe they'll discover that the message from the French woman was really sent by one of them 16 years earlier....

Perhaps it was Kate who sent the distress call 16 yrs ago; she is fluent in french (Evangeline Lily, that is). So maybe we'll see her actually speak french which will lend support to that theorie.

But french is not her first language, why would she leave it in French?

My guess is that there is no time travel involved in all of this, that there is a French woman alive on the island for 16 years, and that the survivors will find her.

I hope she's a good cook.

Here is the post a made before reading this one. Also time travel is science fiction not magic.



The plane was brought down by hitting a rip in space time. The plane broke up and the different people went to different places in time. The main part with the passengers was thrown many years into the future. This is why there are no people to help as the human race may have left for space or killed themselves with a war...something like that. It also explains why there are strange animals on the island because they are future evolved animals.

Other parts of the plane went back in time or stayed at the same time as the plane. The mummy they find is Jack's father who's body is old since they went forward in time.

oh well it is a guess.
