I know someone will think this should be moved to episode discussion and that's fine and dandy, but I bet there are lots of people who just want to be as excited as I am.
It's about time!
I wanted them together since Day One.
So if you want to squee in here, go ahead. I'm excited too.
I'll merge it tomorrow.

Naw, watching the ultra hot Kate go after a greasy redneck ain't my bag, baby. I'm sure the chicks loved it though.

Pffffffffft. Give me more sweaty Kate. I have no interest in sappy love stories, so Sawyer need not be involved.

Totally! What is this? Days of Our Lost? As the Island Turns? General Dharma Hatch Hospital? Pffffft indeed.

Didn't really do it for me, of course, I was lost in Juliet's abyss of cleavage most of the episode....sooooo

Oh come on. Juliet is nothing next to Kate.

Really.....
I'm almost ashamed I know ya....:p :awwhug:
I too think it's about time that this happened.
Now which one will bite the dust after this sexual excursion?

Do you think it was an ACTUAL taco night, or do you think "taco night" was a euphemism? Either way, you GOTTA have taco night!

I thought Sawyer was going to buy it tonight (one of the three times I cried - great episode if it can make me cry 3 times!).
They could possibly though pull the old switcharoo and Kate could be the sacrifice.
I just loved the entire episode! Kate, Jack and Sawyer are my favorites and I loved seeing all three of them.

This thead is for people who are happy Kate and Sawyer got together.
It is not for sophomoric innuendo.

Hmm. Shouldn't this be in the Shippers section? And I'm pretty sure that there's already a Sawyer/Kate thread there anyhow. Just a thought.
Skate! Party on..

Let me put it this way. When Kate and Sawyer had a chance to turn the tables on the others, infiltrate them, get weapons, save Jack, find the sub and escape, they chose to play coo-coo in each others arms, and we didn't even get to see much Kate skin. Days of Our Lives at least shows more skin.
Jack, on the other hand, turned the tables on Ben and co and selflessly gave it up for Kate and Sawyer to escape. For once I prefered the Jack storyline.

She's an escaped murderer and fugitive, he's a con-man ... they don't exactly have their priorities in order.
They are EXACTLY what the other one needs.
And thanks, SHBL. They're not exactly reveling in my excitement. I don't understand it.

Kate the empath identifies with Sawyer. She doesn't love anybody. She should have mercy boinked both of them after she and Sawyer rescued Jack.

She had a reaction. We just didn't see it. Otherwise Sawyer would not have said "I love you, too."

Men have a tendency to say that after sex. It doesn't mean the girl said it first. Kate had a moment - a moment where she gave into her empathy. She should have had a moment where she gave into her predatory skills and assualted the others.

You can totally say "I told you so" if I turn out to be wrong later.

At least she didn't have hairy armpits. :rolleyez: Apparently she has access to a very sharp rock that uses for shaving purposes.

But why would he have even bothered to ask whether she meant it when she said she loved him when Pickett was beating him up? If he didn't really care he wouldn't have even brought that up.
She had a reaction, just not a verbal one.

Kate is an empath. She feels other people's pain in an unusual manner. She identifies with people in pain at an unusual level. Don't confuse it for love.

We don't usually confuse it for love. At least not in Kate's case. We all know her as well as you do.:)

Not sure that that answers why Sawyer wanted to know if she meant it...
The reaction was that she smiled and kissed him. I took it as a yes and I believe he did too.
I may have the same problem of feeling other people's pain in an unusual manner.:(
I have to go to bed now.

Anyway, YAY KATE/SAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

But really they just need to make it any actual love triangle and bring Jack in anyway. That way everyone goes home happy. :)
Now I'm really hoping no one dies...cause the sex/death thing is a real bummer.

If she really did love him, why not tell him?
She didn't have to. Look at the way she kisses him afterward. Playful. Longing for his kiss again. Sawyer melts in her hands. We men are predictable when it comes to someone we care about.
Excuse me.
He said "So do you love me?"
She gave him that look.
He said "I love you, too."
End of story.
Again, very small look Kate gave Sawyer. The kiss is the most important part of that whole situation. She didn't have to say "I love you" because the kiss said it all. Again, longing for Sawyer's kiss.

Totally agree about men's tendencies. Women want to hear those three words, yet men don't want to say them because they are scared.
Thanks for the permission. Nothing is wrong with it. It just doesn't fit Kate.
No it doesn't fit Kate. She tells Kevin that she almost had a baby. She doesn't want to have the mother lifestyle...not yet at least.
And Monica? What is up with that? Almost schizophrenic.
Kate/Monica does what Kate does. Empath, run away, whatever. She can't even stay on the island for fear that someone will find her. Where is she going to run to next? I hear that you don't have to be expedited from Acapulco....
She had a reaction, just not a verbal one.
She doesn't have to. Her wiles and charm obviously worked for Sawyer. Jack is still smitten for some unknown reason. After seeing Sawyer and Kate post coital, you would think that he would try to save his own life and not let Kate (possibly Sawyer) run away. And don't get me started on where they will run to.
I don't understand how Sawyer wanted to bonk knowing the Others were watching.
Voyeurism is sexy in some people's eyes. Just ask any celebrity that has made a video of their sexual escapades. Right, that would be most of them! :)

I was fine with the sex, I could have totally done without the love. Everyone's going on about how it doesn't fit Kate, but actually, it's Sawyer who doesn't fit here. I can't see him making such an admission (though I can see Kate, the consummate liar, saying it), and I'm tired of "noble, self-sacrificing" Sawyer taking a boot to the 'nads for love every five minutes. Bleah.
I can see these two finding some sort of grubby, con-man love eventually, but this felt too contrived. My gf totally disagreed however, which seem to be somewhat of a gender-breakdown pattern here as well, eh?

Everyone gets a new life on this island and a chance for redemption and change, why not Sawyer & Kate?
Sawyer put some meat in her taco - but in all fairness ....

Okay, Kate finally got some, it's long overdo. Go for it Kate get all you can before TPTB show thier sexist side and make you make dearly for it.

He was told that if he had anything he wanted to say to his girlfriend, he'd better say it that night. (Threat of death the next day.)

Eventually? When they both thought he would die tomorrow? Time to say it/do it or regret what you didn't say/do for the rest of your life, however long or short it might be.
