What is Ana-Lucia's deal? Why is she such a psycho badass? Was she another federal agent meant to keep an eye on Kate? Maybe there is some kind of Kate versus Ana-Lucia thing in the future?

Also, who is Echo, and why is he so good at fashioning weapons out of sticks, clubs, and old plane parts?

Why did the others repeatedly attack the tailenders and not the lostaways?

Considering the way that Sawyer, Michael and Jinn were dressed, why did the tailenders club them and drag them into a hole on meeting them? What's up with the harsh treatment? Aren't the others super weird looking and about half of them pantless? I'm dying to know the answers to these questions...
