The season finale just finished airing here about 15 minutes ago, and wow!
Great ep, I must say, well worth the wait.
The scene with all the 'lostaways' boarding flight 815 was very poignant indeed.
One thing I noticed, was than when Hurley sits down, he takes out a comic titled 'Flash'. He flips a few pages, and the page facin the camera shows an illustration of...a polar bear!!!
Did anyone else pick up on this? What is the relevance I wonder? I also wonder what else was revealed in this scene?

This is the one he's reading throughout S1. It's in Spainsh, but we know Hurley is latin ( I guess that makes him hot!).
What I found strange was Hurley never sees Walt reading the comic. As many times as they played Backgammon, and kind of hung-out, he never acknowledges its his comic.

Thanks for the welcome, Hodgepodge.
I was a bit of a late-comer to the show, so apart from the pilot episode, I didn't really get into the show until ep 05. bad me!
Hurley may not have acknowledged the comic out of fear of being ostrcised by the other 'survivors', or quite simply, the comic may not have much signifigance to him. The same way I buy magazines, read them, then throw them out. The fact that Walt was reading the comic and then the polar bear appeared is very interesting though. This has probaly been discussed on the board to death though, so please forgive my naivety.
