Lilly gets a Golden Globe nomination, but never fear Michelle Rodriguez fans, she wasn't ignored during the awards season. She has received a Worst Supporting Actress nomination for her work in BloodRayne in this year's Golden Rasberry Awards. Here are some critics discussing her work in the film:
"Rodriguez, especially, continues to patent her probably-lesbian, angry man-woman shtick, but to what end?"
"This is a movie so bad that it actually asks Michelle Rodriguez, of all people, to attempt a British accent - which, much to our horror, she does."
"Michael Madsen is here, too, and Michelle Rodriguez--two names one hesitates to attach to a costume/period drama for the simple fact that they're horrible actors with no discernible range."
"Michelle Rodriguez shows up speaking with the most unbelievable English accent in recent movie history."
"Rodriguez struts about with a perpetual pout."
"She's (Rodriguez) clearly using the part to get in some much-needed fake-British-accent practice."
"Rodriguez's tongue wrestles with some sort of vaguely European accent"
"Rodriguez pathetically attempts an English accent."

I could tongue-wrestle her.
I cant even imagine her with a Brit accent, thinking about it is cracking me up. Maybe she can do a comedy with it.

Keanu Reeves probably does a better accent than MR.

I imagine hers to be Costneresque.
Bad press is still press. At least her name's in the media. ;) :)

Yea, with the regular reports of drunk driving arrests and mocking reviews of her crappy acting her career is sure to sky-rocket. :p

It's exactly those two qualities that have landed her the lead in Mug Shot: The Nick Nolte Story.

Yup. She's also signed on to do Yet Another 48 Hours with the ever-aging Malcom David Kelley in the Eddie Murphy role.

Hollywood is forgiving if anything. Come on, drugs and alcohol has never held anyone back in Hollywood. Sometimes I think it's a prerequisite. Now the acting reviews, there's not much I can do to help her on that one.
From the list of who's who in Hollywood acting doesn't count for much either. It's amazing what good editing, four hundred takes, and a director with a loaded gun (after the four hundred takes) can do.
It's too damn quiet here. I avoided mentioning that she can't act in any language, but I thought that was a given.

Agreed.
Here we go again it's all about the hot factor, I'm a defiantely straight female so I guess I'll have to be the one to throw cold water on the comments.
She should have pulled an AnaL attitude and went off on whoever went near her hair. (I have to confess I like the outfit, I have top similar to that one.)
I'm beginning to think you guys would like anything with a little lipstick and eyeliner.

It doesn't take much does it? It's a good thing I didn't mention the matching tight hip hugging leather bottoms.

Nah, not really. :) ;) I think Hodge has demonstrated that wonderfully.
You guys are waaay too easy, you should make us work a little harder. ;)

Awe, man, that movie was on the sci-fi channel a couple weeks ago. I watched maybe 10 minutes of it, and MR was awful as always. I had no idea it was an award-winning performance, though. I should've tivo'd the darn thing.
I think it could be the non discussed but very real Crap Award.
They don't have a ceremony because no one would show up.

I'm thrilled. I saw it listed as running on the Sci-fi Channel tonight and I have the TIVO set to record it.
I'll be sure to provide a review.

Oh. My. God.
The whole movie was so gawd awful it was no small achievement for her suckitude to stand out, but stand out it did. I didn't think Michelle's acting could get any worse. Boy, was I mistaken.
And that English accent she tried... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

New fave word: suckitude--thanks muchly, Homer!
Missed it and I'm a bit sorry. After all if made Homer use five smilies it must so utterly bad it's worth watching for a laugh.
