Does anyone else miss Boone?

Boone was a cool character, especially after the romantic angle was revealed in "Hearts and Minds" and I was hoping he'd last a bit longer so we could find out more about him. And it WAS kinda funny that he got beat up all the time.

I think he will be back - in one way or anthother .the actor didnt seem too upset that he was killed off. Plus he was kind of a hot ticket for abc. They would have him recast in something this season if they didnt have plans for him. The actor who played ethan is in that new alien show. I doubt we will be seeing more from him.

The bickering was virtually non-existant from about the 5 ep onwards, I think. Boone was a serious control freak. I mean, take the hike for example. At that stage they didn't know about the monster in the jungle yet. But Boone wouldn't let Shannon go on a "simple hike". Or maybe it was some extremely werid way of showing how much her cared about Shannon and he didn't want her to go on a hike coz he's concerned something might happen to her.

I don't miss him too much. He didn't have a heck of a lot of screentime I reckon. I think with Shannon and Boone gone, probably the two characters who will be forgotten the quickers. Writting off Claire, Charlie, Walt or Hurley for example, wouldn't have been, for various reasons, a smart thing to do.

A plane crushes Boone's leg and he dies; A bunch of rubble crushes Locke's leg and he lives. Shannon is shot by Ana Lucia and she dies, Locke is shot through the kidney by Ben and lives. Mr. Eko is brutalized to death by the smoke monster; Locke is pulled into a Cerberus vent by smokie and he lives.

I wouldn't carry things that far, nor do I think Brian is. Perhaps he remembering the day when LOST cared extensively about such details and is hoping for a find. Personally, I don't think to carry connections beyond Boone and Locke specifically, but you never know. People have found stranger LOST phenomena.

What I see is that the religious-imaged charged Boone and Locke dance from Season 1's stroll to the killer cliff and airplane appeared to be carried over through Locke after the well drop. His underground walk perhaps paralleled Christ's post-crucifixion tour of the underworld. Of course, just to make things sweeter, Boone should have been his guide. And now, Locke, back on the island, is, in essence, resurrected. There will Emmaus moments all over the place. Locke's hooded discovery was just the start of things. Locke seemed a little calm though. A little sure. Maybe death will do that. However, I think that Ben, even lying there helpless, deserves another beating.
