I hope he is resting comfortably and on his way to recovery. I wonder if he needs someone to come feed him jello while he convalesces.....

Are you volunteering SBA? ;)

That said, I think it's going to be a while before Ben is up and about again. Nothing like a power vacuum. Too bad Juliet filled Danny with new air holes, she could have filled in for Ben while he was eating his jello. :)

Even prone in an operating theater, Ben has power. That's pretty good, don't you think?

I have this crazy idea though that Juliet might have slipped him a male pregnancy cocktail. Just the devil in me...:D

I agree completely. However, I also think that any time you have a situation where an organization's leadership is not at 100% strength, there will be those who will try to usurp that power. If Juliet was telling the truth to Jack with those flashcards and if there are indeed others who feel the same as her (big if's, I know), then Ben is in a perilous place right now.

I agree that we will definitely see what the mice will do while the cat is in traction. Too bad Danny is dead. My theory is that he was Juliet's co-conspirator and she killed him to shut him up once her plan had failed.

I have no fear, though. So far neither locks nor ropes nor a half-finished surgery have kept him from pulling the puppet strings. He'll come out on top in the end.

*pokes Ben in the back*

*Ben spins round and glares at me*

*holds my gaze*

*Goes in for a hug* :D

See. He made you do that. Totally against your will, too.

I've speculated in a thread (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30012) started by Khan that the "Others" maybe super-human. I stated the scene where Ethan gave the impression he moved with inhuman speed in his fight with Jack. I also pointed out the scene where Ana-Lucia kneed Ben in the groin and he didn't flinch. I point out those instances, because I was struck dumb when Ben woke up on the operating table in no pain!

Jack didn't seem too surprised that Ben wasn't in pain, though. Frankly, it scared me a little that he was lacking sensation that he should have. Maybe Jack nicked a little more than an artery.

But I do get the same feeling that the Others are physically superior. Examples beyond the ones you mentioned: Ethan picking Charlie up by his neck with one hand; Ben tossing Sawyer around like a rag-doll; Juliet easily subduing Jack in the flooded compartment scene. In each of these cases, the 815s were possibly in a weakened state, from hunger, drugs, etc., but the superior strength does seem to come up quite often.

I'll check out your other thread.....

So, that's where she kneed him! I wasn't sure because, like you said, he didn't flinch.

Me too! Was Ben lying about not being in pain, being sarcastic, or telling the truth?

Jack: Are you in pain? I can...
Do what? Finish the surgery? Do acupuncture?
