Lastnight's episode made me wonder when we'll see Libby in a flashback again. Anyone think it will be this season?

She's bound to show up sooner or later. They still need to explain why Her and Hurley were in the same mental institution. They let alot of things go unexplained, but I think is a major part of the puzzle.
edit: nice sig, Blind Guardian!

Thats precisely what I was thinking. They said she was central to the whole mythology of the show, only to kill her off after just one season. I was hoping that this week's Hurley flashback would have her in it. With so many new regular characters now I'm sure that we'll only get two or three people with more than one flashback this season, and I have a feeling that Hurley isn't on the top of the list. My guesses would be Desmond, Jack (as always), Locke, and Juliette get more than one flashback each.
It's too bad, I liked Libby, she vastly became one of my favorite characters.. that is until Roger Workman showed up.

and he died with a smile on his face.
edit: i need to make this "skull cheers" pic animated...
I get the feeling too, that Libby appear to Hurley as Dave did.
They may even appear together.
I have this feeling why Hurley carries with him Dave is because Dave was one of the two who died as a result of the deck collapse.
He probably didn't know him but maybe it's one of those things were you talk to someone, learn a bit about them and then when something bad happens feel bad. In this case however, Hurley feels responsible.

I actually cried at that particular bit of the ep, first time I ever cried at Lost (although Eko's time travel/Heaven after life nearly made me spring a leak).........

Didn't the deck collapse incidenct occur after Hurley won the lottery? I thought that was one of his "bad luck" moments. I thought he was in the hospital before he won the lottery.

Oh now Gracey, why'd you have to go an ask a newbie question like that?
No, what's confusing you is the episode Dave came after Numbers, but in the time-line or sequence of events, the deck incident comes before Hurley wins the lottery.

Just to follow up what Budman said, when Hurley was in the psyciatric hospital after the deck collapse, he encountered Leonard who constantly repeated the numbers.. And Hurley then played those numbers in the lottory.
Also, probably not a coincidence, his dad's name is Dave.

Shirley, you can't be serious!
Ah yes, remembering now. :ashamed: One of the things Hurley was getting counseled on by the doctor in the hospital was the deck collapsing. I did remember the lottery came after the hospital.
I can have one newbie moment a week right?

You can have as many as you need. Just so long as I get to do my Dr. Cox impression.

i always assumed in my mind that libby was in the mental hospital due to the tragic death of her husband. again thats just an assumption but her story seemed to be going in that direction

So am I correct here?
Libby's boat showed up for Libby's funeral?

Yup. You are correct.
ETA: When it was announced that Cynthia Watros was leaving the show the reason given was that she had a key role in a forthcoming series. Well, the only thing I could find on IMDb was a listing for a TV series pilot episode called My Ex Life about some divorced dude (tired of teen angst, how about some midlife angst), with no mention of air date or her character's name. The show was directed by "Frasier" Kelsey Grammar. Talk about great career moves. This doesn't quite rank with Art Garfunkel deciding to become an actor, but it's up there.
There's probably more info in the Cast and Character Discussion Forum, which is where this thread belongs.
Also, there mention on IMDb on who played Roger Work Man. Whoever he was, I thought his acting was a bit stiff.
