I dont have the time to read ALL the past threads/posts, but wanted to share this.

It bothered me that LOCKE had seen the monster and says nothing.

Suddenly it came to me that this is all LOCKEs Dream during a COMA; probably from trying to do the WALKABOUT on his own and getting robbed and beaten. (They arent showing this in Australia, probably to avoid annoying the tourism board.)

In the end he will come out of it still paralyzed.

And, as they take him to the airport to go home, he will find himself among the passengers prior to boarding and see that they are the people in his dream.

The series will end with him smiling -he is going to be able to walk again- as his flight departs Sydney.

SO THERE!!!

PS The flaw that directed me towards LOCKEs fantasy instead of the others, is that they did the fire when it was overcast. Jack should of known better. But, Locke had no real military experience and logic wouldnt of included that minor detail.

THEN AGAIN...

PS2~ The ratings for this episode could be lower as the show didnt appear as the TV Guide scheduled it on the west coast.

1. The whole everything-was-just-a-dream is a bigger cop-out than anything else anyone can think of. I give JJ Abrams more credit than that; granted, his explanations are out-there, but "it was all just a dream/coma" doesn't seem to be on his repertoire.

2. Ratings for this episode were its highest since the first part of the pilot.

It didn't air at the regular time on the west coast due to the presidential debate, NOT because ratings are down.

dsera, that's not what was implied. Poster thought that ratings would be down because of the schedule changes. Poster is wrong, as ratings were at its highest since the premiere.

DSERA was right!

The ratings would of been even higher if the show had aired at its scheduled 10pm slot on the west coast; according to TV GUIDE.

Ive already run into several people, and I see very few these days, who are upset they missed the show, even though they taped it and it wasnt on at 10pm. Instead they showed it at 8pm and I only caught it by accident a few minutes in...
