Jack Shepard

Definition of:

Jack - One who does odd or heavy jobs; a laborer.

(Last name slightly altered to prove point)
Shepherd - One who cares for and guides a group of people

Let me know if anyone agrees with this theory of the names. This isn't the only character with a name that fits their description.
