I wanted to start a thread where maybe we could get some ideas of who the best actor or actress to portray Jacob would be, this is assuming that Jacob is a real person. I would love to see Steve Bushemi. He can play any role in any movie, why not Jacob.

It'd be perfect for a one episode deal with SK, I think he can act a couple of good scenes with the right director. Plus, SK is a big fan of the show and TPTB are big fans of his writing it would be perfect. And I think in a show riddled with literary references that it make sense for an actual writer to pop up. Okay, maybe not if Jacob is going to be a big time recurring character, but I still think an SK appearance would be the coolest thing in the world.

That would confirm my suspision that Lost is set in the Dark Tower universe. In that story, the characters actually visited SK and told him to keep writing otherwise they would cease to exist. Well, I guess all these guys were busy. So we got Mark Pellegrino. He played the hit man on Mulholland Drive. Anybody remember? He was good in that part. I don't know about him as Jacob.
