Why doesn't Juliette ask Ben why Jacob doesn't cure his (Ben's) cancer? Seems like a logical question to ask...

Why doesn't Juliette ask Ben why Jacob doesn't cure his (Ben's) cancer? Seems like a logical question to ask...Ben never had cancer! Plus, a question like this, where we really don't know the answer, and any posts would be just speculation, is better in the characters forum.


ETA: I'm moving to the Michael Emerson - Ben forum for a possible discussion.

But Ben is leading Juliette to believe that he has cancer right? Or do you think that she knows now that Ben never had cancer?

Regardless, if she believes that Jacob cured her sister, why is she not asking about Jacob curing *whatever* Ben had, even if it wasn't cancer? I mean he had to go under the knife, so it was a major health issue. Heck, he almost died on the operating table.

Just doesn't add up to me...

Just doesn't add up to me...Remember, Ben told Juliet no one on the island has/had cancer. I think he was really surprised when she told him he had a tumor. He even assumed it was cancer, and had to be reminded it was a tumor. Not sure we were suppose to believe the island inhabitants never got sick.

When Jack removed the growth, he told Juliet to run a biopsy, but he was pretty sure there wasn't any cancer. So, Ben is still batting a 1.000!

She sort of does, when she says, "If you can cure cancer, Ben, then why do you have it?" To which Ben replies, "I don't know." Locke asks the same thing when he asks, "How did you get sick in the first place." Ben dodges the question.

I think we will learn more about this in the coming episodes when we learn who Jacob is and what Ben's relationship to him is.
