Jack gay??

Hey people,

Not that this is a bad thing at all, but I'm beginning to seriously think Jacko is gay. Why??

He doesn't seem to be as interested in Kate as Kate is in him. He often implies rejection to her...

I read something in article about what jack has in common with richard hatch...Hmmm...

And the "After what you did" comment by Jack's mother in the flashback. The little bit of info we have been given about Jack's father leads me to believe that he is in fact, the type to condemn his son for being gay. I'm sure he would view such a thing as a personal affront and a shameful reflection on the family etc.

What do you all think?

I find it hilarious that when a guy turns down a girl, or ignores her every now and then, he's immediately pegged as gay.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack's turned off by the way Kate throws herself at him.

I can't take any more "Is Jack Gay" discussions. So what if he hasn't jumped Kate yet? It's only been 6-7 days! He's been a little busy, not to mention injured (ribs and now shoulder). We have seen nothing to indicate that Jack is gay. All we know for sure is that he is not sexually aggressive, or not interested in Kate. Maybe he has someone back home he thinks he still may get back to.

I have hesitated saying this, because if Jack turns out to be gay it could backfire on me, but here goes... Jack is not acting any differently than I would in this situation. I am very introverted with my emotions and do not like them displayed openly in front of total strangers. I have never dated a girl that I did not know for at least 2 years first. I just have never been in a hurry about relationships. Sure, I've had the occassional make out session with a total stranger in the girls restroom of a resturant, what guy hasn't. But I do not make a move on a woman I am interested in after just 6 days with 40 + strangers watching. Also, if I were Jack, and Kate caught me checking out her butt, I would have lied.
Jack may be gay, but nothing in his actions so far indicates it in any way.

I believe his mother is referring to the time when Jack ratted out his father for operating on a girl while he was under the influence of alcohol, which led to the severing of an artery and her death.

Nothing has indicated that Jack is gay.

Perhaps the reason he's not really into Kate anymore is because she hurt him several times.

On thefuselage.com (http://www.thefuselage.com), there's been an endless discusson on this topic (it has been closed and deleted now). Arguments varying from:

He might be gay - it would fit in with his relastionship with his father, and his relationship with Sarah.

to:

he's gay, because he cries so much and wore a neckerchief and hasn't had sex with Kate

to:
he isn't gay, he's scarred from the break-up with Sarah

and:
he is not gay, for he runs like a man.

Personally, I think he is not gay. A lot of energy and emphasis has been put in and put on the Sawer-Kate-Jack triangle. Solving it by making any one fo the three pple involved would be lame. Comments from Damon L., Matthew Fox (though, what does he know) and more seem to establish Jack and Kate will get together eventually.
Rejoice LOST is not one of those shows in which pple are scrumping all the time.

On the other hand, I do agree that I wouln't be surprised if he were gay. The creators are cuckoo enough for it - they were going to kill the hero in episode one - and when you want to, you can interpret the wedding etc. like that.

I am cuckoo, as well, and have written two fan fics on it (shameless self promo) which I think prove Jack could be gay and it could be wonderfully explaining his relationship with his parents and his failing marriage.
