Yep- I saw that too- the article says that Abrams was going to give Matthew Fox the role as Sawyer, but decided to give him the lead instead- good choice!

Thank God he made him Jack and not Sawyer. It's so strange when you find out when roles were originally meant for certain actors. Like Sarah Michelle Geller originally being offered the role of Cordelia. Can you imagine someone else as Buffy?
