I was really getting sick of the power issues he was having with Sun about him giving her independence. The issue popped up like 5 times. I thought they overdid that aspect.

From what we've been shown of Asian culture on television, women are subservient to men. They wanted to drive this point home for the viewers. Similar to the racial tension between African-Americans and Koreans. TPTB went to a lot of trouble to crush both of these stereotypes, and I think they did a fantastic job. :Cheers:
