Was ben faking?

He was talking to Jacob and it seemed as though Jacob was talking to him. So was Ben faking that he could hear Jacob? cause Ben seemed angry that Jacob spoke to Locke.

I think he's talking about how Ben couldn't hear what Jacob said to Locke.

Ben can hear Jacob because he is special and got mad that Locke heard him also. Ben shot Locke because he was special also and Ben didn't much like that. Ben was testing Locke to see if he really heard him.

I don't think Ben could hear Jacob. I think he was pretending and that's why he was so pissed that Locke could hear him.

He might be able to hear Jacob. Maybe jacob communicates telepathically.

Or more realistically, maybe Jacob is a figment of their imagination and so they each hear jacob differently.

I believe Ben was talking to Jacob; He looked serious when Locke called him, "Crazy" and "Pathetic."
I'm wondering if Ben panicked and shot Locke because he couldn't see Jacob or hear him anymore once he'd appeared in the chair and talked to Locke.
