What if the Others DID hear Jacob but never told Ben because they knew "how to do it". I see at least 3-4 people who seem fairly sure Ben is not their no. 1 choice for leader of the year.
The look on the faces of the Others when Locke announces the Jacob visit is provocative. They don't have time to tell Locke how to do the "Jacob shuffle".
And the beatdown Locke gives Mikhail is alienating enough. What if Ben is wrong and other Others have discussed what Jacob has said???
