i was watching a season 1 episode last night, when hurley was helping charlie fish with the stick to impress shannon, and he said "i used to fish with my old man all the time", we know he didnt see his father really at all growing up, maybe this happened in an alternate time line, any thoughts?

he could have referenced a time before his dad left, in the flashback Hurley looked to be around 8, i know I went fishing with my dad when I was 5

good point there, his dad seemed to be in and out alot before he left for the 17 year span however, hurley didnt seemed to surprised, when his dad left
