Personally, I'd like to see a "Stupid Shannon" figure--not that it'd be any different from the regular Shannon. She could have catch phrases, too...like "I've just been through a trauma!" "What?" and "*prolonged whiiiiiiiiiiiiine*".

It's okay--my friend bought me a Legolas Ken doll for my birthday. My 17th birthday. Whoever says you outgrow toys has obviously not witnessed the power of Orlando Bloom in plastic...

Would you buy Lost Action figures? We'd get
Jack with med kit
Kate with toy airplane
Locke/w wheelchair
Walt with dog
Michael
Sawyer with gun
Jin and Sun two pack with watch
Hurley with golf clubs
A set of Others with the bearded guy
Talliies Anna and Eko package
Other sets could have the Raft with shark.
Rocky Raccoon
01-30-06, 08:48 PM
A big set with the Nigerian plane and Locke and Boone.
Or Charlie and Eko.
And Eko with Smokey of course.
And the 815 crash with Rose, Steve, Scott and Turbine Man.
Plus Desmond with the Hatch, Rousseau in her shelter, and the polar bear.
And Shannon with Suntan lotion.
Or the complete playset with dead Shannon, stunned Michael, Jin and Sawyer. Oopsy Daisy Ana, Eko, and totally crazy Sayid.
Yeah I think that's about it.
I know if they made them it'd be a total sell-out like "Bad Twin", but I'd still buy all of them:Headbang:

I'd want a Sawyer Doll, complete with removable shirt, six-pack abs, and a voice box that generates many catch-phrases like "Son of a Bitch!" and "Right behind you, Jackass."
I wrote about this in another thread, but I suppose it makes more sense here:
Lost action figures would be awesome.
I can make my little Jack doll smooch my little Ana Lucia doll. Then she'll pull out her gun an cap his doll-ass with her etchy-trigger-finger action! Then I'll grab my Eko doll and beat my Charlie doll to death with his Jesus Stick. I'll have my Claire doll that says "My BAAABY" when you press her button get into a screaming match with my Michael doll that says "WAAAALT!!!" when you press his button. I'll bring my Boone doll back to life long enough to express his homosexual feelings to my Locke doll, as which point my Heroin Airplane action set will fall on him again. My Shannon doll won't come back to life, instead she'll come back as a zombie Shannon doll to take revenge on her death with Ana Lucia using the Danielle's Torture Hut action set! RAD!

Actually I think they should have 3 completely separate Ethan dolls, not just interchangable shirts. They should release the original first, and then every 6 months release a new Ethan. Each will have barely perceptable cloning... I mean manufacturing defects.

Has somebody mentioned the Dharma Shark figure? It'll have a hidden "dharma" symbol that appears when you dip it in water.
What about a Claire with live-birth action? EWWWW!

I like the 'Exploding Arzt" idea best. He could be one of those figures that you put together, but is spring loaded and can pop apart at the push of a button. Kinda like my son's Crash Dummy figures...
Maybe the Ghost of Walt figure should be mail-order, just like the Ghost of Anakin figure I sent off for with all those proofs of purchase when I was a kid.
The Sayid Iraq Flashback figure should come with a full set of torture tools.
boonian androphile
01-31-06, 02:29 AM
Dude maybe Boone, with all the wound marks, with a combo of jack and sun, with all med supplies.
Also the surgical scene with operating table, leg-amputating device, that marine creature that Sun procured for the blood-letting---I mean transfusion. A bunch of transfusion tubes as well.
This has me thinking of episode placement maps for action figures and their various props. The plane (Pilot) goes here. The cave (White Rabbit and subsequent episodes) goes here. The hatch with blinding, comforting light but with batteries sold separately (Deus Ex Machina) goes here. Then of course Black Rock (Exodus) with that golden opportunity for the exploding Arzt figure to---explode. Loads of fun for kids of all ages. Of course, inclusion of companion script moments. "Dude, you got some Arzt on you" remains a classic to which kids of all ages would immediately gravitate.
The exploding Arzt should come with pink slime inside of it. That way when he blows up, the lostaway action figures can actually get pieces of Arzt all over them.

The Ana-Lucia doll would be mysteriously missing from the LOST Action Figure lineup. See, A-L dolls have already saturated the market...they just call 'em Bratz.
They could also make an "Oceanic 815" plane that breaks into 3 pieces on cue. The twist here is that North of the Equator, the planes will be modeled after a Lockheed L-1011, but South of the Equator, it would be a replica of a Boeing 777. Endless debates ensue.
If the Reservoir Dogs action figures could come with straight razors & detachable ears, then Sayid's can come with bamboo shoots. Sayid's doll would also have a sensor inside it, causing him to mope if the Shannon doll is more than 1 meter away.
In order to avoid controversy, there couldn't be any heroin bags with the Charlie doll. I'm betting on chewing gum or guitar picks. (If a non-mainstream company is making 'em, nix that. Charlie could have a whole Kilo of junk, a gold plated straw, and a bonus Poison T-Shirt Toxic Groupie Figure as well)

I've come to the conclusion that there should be NO TALKING DOLLS.... um, i mean ACTION FIGURES. Considering the castaways never talk to each other, I don't think their action figures should talk to us.
There should also be some kind of combo pack, with like five figures. You buy the pack knowing that one of the figures is going to break during November sweeps. It's supposed to be a surprise, but if you read the package it tells you that Shannon will be the one to break. What a let down...

I found it on Daniel Roebuck's website. Here's some additional information from his site (which is fascinating and a good read).
Lost - Update 01/03/06
The first two photos are the blister packs front and back. The far right photo has a close-up of the package contents.
Dan received this amazing doll for Christmas 2005 from his friend (and LOST fan) Jesse Adams. As you can see it's VERY accurate with amazing props. More astounding than even that is the fact that the toy's rear panel features a Doctor Arzt bio written by the writers of LOST specifically for the toy!

Interesting... serious feedback on this forum; that's a toughy. ;)
I think I'd have to see them. If they were well-made, I just might consider it for the kitsy-camp value, and who knows, might be collectible. I collect antique toys, including very old Barbies. Funny thing is, I hated dolls growing up and didn't play with them ever... but they've made me a lot of money since then from collecting the rarer ones (even disliking Barbies today, they're like one of the only toys with a very predictable appreciation rate). LOST stuff I think I might just collect for the heck of it, if well made. Problem is mostly that if it wasn't limited-edition, I doubt it'd be worth money for a long time.

She's lying to you sculpey. PandoraX has, like, three gazillion posts in Non Metallic Metals ?? alone. She's an addict. Anything "Lost"-related ... she's in. Way in.

Oh, great. McFarlane. Locke will have cyber-legs and a gaping liver-wound, Vincent will be the size of a hippo with red eyes and exposed muscles, the women will all look like Marylin Manson in metal underwear (except Claire, who will have a baby bursting from her chest), and Charlie will be a skeleton with needles up and down his arms.
eta: I meant "kidney-wound" of course.
McFARLANE TOYS LANDS LOST LICENSE
It’s another jewel in the McFarlane Toys crown – today, Variety reported that the toy company has landed the license to produce action figures based on the hit ABC drama, Lost.
The toys will be released this fall, according to the trade, with the first selection of six figures to include: Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Hurley (Jorge Garcia), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and Shannon (Maggie Grace). Along with the individual figures (which will ship with a scaled prop), McFarlane will also produce boxed sets including the figure with dioramas of locations seen throughout the series. According to the trade, future lines will include Sawyer and Mr. Eko.
McFarlane and company reportedly went to the filing location in Hawaii earlier this season to do full body scans of the cast members for the figures.

Here are some of the actual accessories that are included with the figures:
Keeping with the action figures premise, each character will come with an associated prop. So Kate (Evangeline Lilly) will include a toy lead plane the character chased down in season one; Hurley (Jorge Garcia) will come with a lottery ticket. Characters will also be frozen in specific key moments, such as when Locke (Terry O'Quinn) first found the hatch.

MCFARLANE TOYS GETS 'LOST'
Six Exclusive Action Figures Coming to Stores This Fall
May 23, 2006
Copyright 2006 TMP International, Inc.
McFarlane Toys will soon give Lost's legions of fans something new to obsess over. A series of Lost action figures is scheduled to be released late fall, 2006, and is destined to populate office cubicles around the country.
McFarlane Toys' Lost Series 1 captures six fan-favorite characters from the series' first season: Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Charlie and Shannon. Each 6-inch Lost figure will have a detailed base and photographic backdrop, capturing an episode-specific moment in the character's story. In addition, each package will include a detailed prop reproduction central to the character's story, enabling fans to "own" a piece of the show's mythology. For example, Kate's figure will be packaged with a reproduction of the toy airplane that plays so prominently into her backstory. More than just action figures, McFarlane's Lost figures will once again raise the bar for fans and for the industry.
We will also be releasing Lost deluxe boxed sets -- re-creating key moments between multiple characters, and small-scale dioramas -- replicating central locations such as the mysterious island and the infamous hatch.
To say that we are VERY excited about this is an understatement.
Check back tomorrow right here on Spawn.com for our first big reveal -- coinciding with the Lost season cliffhanger: a peek at one of the figures in the first series.

what's the point in toys that you can't move????? I agree. Impressive though the Charlie statue is, it's not really a toy.
I don't insist on a Kung Fu grip, but an Eko with a Jesus stick and shoulder joints that pivot to swing it is a must.

With a lever in his back so you can push it and he swings!

Sadly, I have been waiting for these since the show premiered. I can't wait to buy the Sawyer one. Then all I'll need is a Jack Bauer and a House to complete my television BAMF collection.

Why in God's name would they make a Shannon figure and not make Sawyer or Sayid?

I'm looking forward to the wet-drenched-secret-waterfall-underware-bottom Kate figure.
:love2:
I just hope they are good likenesses. That would be way cool.

Could you imagine, Sawyer with a mangina ?
I take first dibs on the Ana Lucia dolls, maybe comes with official looking DUI arrest record and orange prison jump suit ?
Desmond and Dharma Vodka ?
Pregnant Claire and Hottie post-partum Claire ?
Kate with towel from the Dharma shower scene ?
Man sucked into jet engine in the pilot episode?
How about Locke and his red VW beetle ?
Oh my gawd this is toooo funny!

also in the article, it mentions they'll be releasing small sets with specific moments from the show.
i don't know about anyone else, but i'm particularly excited about the possibility of a set with locke beating on the hatch, just after boone dies (in Deus Ex Machina). and perhaps they'll include a button on the base that, when pushed, will cause a light to turn on inside the window. how badass would that be?
as long as they do a smokie/ eko scene I will be happy.

Actually, I don't think I'd be particularly thrilled if the Locke figure is crouched down on all fours. I rather have some version of him standing up, where I can see his features better.
