For the record.. I think tofu has it's place in my life.... namely in a soup I get at my fav Thai place, but not as an across the board meat substitute...

but I do apologize to all the tofuvers I have slighted from time to time with my anti-tofumments.

I offer this thread as an acceptable official apology substitute.. a tofulogy... cause I can't digest real apologies.

It's not good if you don't do anything to prepare it, but I enjoy it in a lot of meat-free dishes. I will post some good recipes in here....not right now. But I'll be back to do that! :D

Ok, the internet has failed me. I was trying to find a pic of a panel from Ultimate Wolverine versus Hulk #2 that had the Hulk screaming "Tofurkey not funny!" Sesame tofu is my favorite Chinese dish.

And yes tofu doesn't have much taste in and of itself...it takes on the taste of whatever you cook it with.

I add it to a lot of dishes for the protein, since i'm a non meat eater. You can even mash it up into your mashed potatoes for the protein. MMMM..

I'm really not a tofanatic. I doubt I will ever opt for tofurkey, but my
previous tofuist like behavior was uncalled for. I villified tofu because
of some bad experiences I had with Veganazis in the past.
