Oh, this is definitely one show I fell in love with. I adore '60s music, and this show is just full of them. ;)
Every clip I've seen of this show just bursts with energy. And, man, the voices... falsetto is hard, man!

So I have this old friend I've known since I was 6 who's been in the NYC area working as a casting director for a while now. I still run into her mom around town pretty regularly and get updates as to what's going on in Allison's life. So about 4 or 5 years ago I hear from her mom that Allison has a new boyfriend. This was said with the pride of many mothers of single women in their 30s who are anxiously awaiting grandchildren. Great! I say. Then a year or so later I hear Allison is still with the same guy, who's an actor, and who just landed a workshop of something that looks promising. A while after that I hear that Allison's boyfriend John is in rehearsals and it looks like the show is moving to Broadway. Turns out Allison's boyfriend is John Lloyd Young who has since gone on to win the Tony for playing Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys. I watched the Tonys at her mom's house that year, and we cheered and cheered every time JB won something. We've been trying to get her to hook us up with house seats, but it just hasn't happened yet.
