Hmm... I wonder who will get killed off in Season 4.
Eh, it's more than possible that he was already going to get the axe. Heck they may have filmed it by now. He could have been at an after party in his honor for all we know.

Or maybe he'll be hit by a bus. All very possible scenarios.
One thing for sure...Aaron will be the only cast member without a DUI by series end.

I've heard the original Aaron was pretty upset about being replaced and hit the bottle pretty hard. But rumor is he's in rehab now, and like so many has beens, is going to be on Dancing With the Stars next season.

I believe this was the first "original" to get a DUI so kudos to Daniel for breaking that glass ceiling. Honestly, even though I believe the character's days are numbered, I don't think this will be directly blamed for that action if it happens. The difference between him and Rodriguez and Watros is that he has been there since day one and has a better relationship with the TPTB not to mention that he has been around enough to be a fan favorite. Michelle, Cynthi, and Adawale were are all new characters to the fans so kiling them off prematurely was not really a big deal. Most of the fans didn't have a connection with Anal or Libby so it was easy to kill them off as their "punishment." Adawale is a little different but kind of to the same effect. He was still very new to the group when he and TPTB decided that the show wasn't the best fit for him. So no harm no foul.
So if TPTB wanted to keep Jin around they could and wouldn't feel an absolute need to just kill him off for that reason. But like I said, I think he had a big target on his forehead for awhile now. He'll be killed of because A) there is nothing for his character to do anymore (although the Michael interactions would be interesting) B) Strenthens the character of Sun thus giving her something to do for a season.
Seems like the cast ought to start a Substance Abuse club. Either they got busted for a DUI in real life, or their character has drug/alcohol issues. Would make for a good list and a great party.

Is there a bar in one of the hatches?
Yeah. It is called the "Lido Hatch". A martini glass is the symbol. And believe it or not, Michael is now serving drinks, doing his best Isaac impersonation!!!!

Moving to Daniel Dae Kim's forum.
Here's the text from The Honolulu Advertiser;
'Lost' actor Daniel Dae Kim accused of DUI — video (http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Oct/25/br/br5701984326.html)
By Dave Dondoneau
Advertiser Staff Writer
Daniel Dae Kim, who stars as Jin-Soo Kwon on ABC's hit TV series "Lost," was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunken driving.
Details of his DUI arrest haven't been released yet, but police said he was arrested around 3 a.m. He was booked at the Honolulu Police station downtown, posted bail and was released at 5:05 a.m.
See video of his release (http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071025/VIDEO01/71025006)
Kim didn't say anything as he left the station. He was escorted by two police officers to a silver SUV that was waiting for him just outside the police station's receiving area.
Wearing a polo shirt, khaki shorts and his hair grown out, Kim kept his head down as he brushed past media, stepping into the front passenger's side of the SUV, which quickly whisked him away.
Other "Lost" members have had legal problems here.
Former cast members Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Dec. 1, 2005 when police spotted their vehicles weaving along Pali Highway.
Both pleaded guilty, and both were gone from the show by season's end.
On Sept. 2, 2006, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Mr. Eko") was arrested and accused of disobeying a police officer and driving without a license.
The charges were later dropped when Akinnuoye-Agbaje provided proof that he possessed a license. His character was killed off by a smoke monster in the first half of that season.

My god, this is ridiculous. I swear though, if Jin dies, they will be killing off 2 characters because Sun will become intolerable.
I highly doubt this will have any affect on his character's life span, but man of man is he gonna get it from the rest of the cast :lmao:
Kristin had this article about DDK's arrest;
One Theory on the Lost Arrests (http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/detail/index.jsp?uuid=8ec58939-074f-481d-88ff-4ae5ff9d2fc9)
Daniel Dae Kim's arrest this morning for suspicion of driving under the influence has some of you Lost fans emailing in to ask, What is going on with the Losties on that island?
It's a fair question, given that this is the fourth arrest of a castmember during Lost's stay in Oahu, Hawaii. And as someone who has spent a good deal of time on that island and around the show, here's what I can share:
I've heard from various sources in Oahu (within and outside the cast) that the Honolulu Police Department does seem to pay extra attention to the Lost stars. Honolulu officers know the Lost actors and their vehicles pretty well (it's not a large island), and I've been told they will wait outside of a restaurant where a Lost star's car is parked and follow him or her home.
If it's true, these officers may have the best of intentions—i.e., simply making sure the castmember gets home all right. Regardless, this may help explain the seemingly disproportionate percentage of castmember arrests compared to the general population of Oahu.
Obviously, driving under the influence is a reckless act that can have devastating consequences (I lost a close cousin and friend to an accident caused by a drunk driver) and should not be condoned in any way. But I also must say I have always known Daniel Dae Kim to be a decent, responsible and kind human being, and I truly hope everything turns out okay for everyone involved in this incident.
As for the follow-up question you Lost fans are asking—whether this will affect Daniel's longevity on the show—I want to remind you that Lost bosses Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse both have said the decisions to kill off Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Watros and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje had nothing to do with their run-ins with the law. So, here's hoping he sticks around.

Well I think that the head honchos at ABC should let loose of some of their cash and hire a car and driver to be always at the beck and call of any major member of the cast. It wouldn't cost that much, and would be a good investment.
I blame TPTB.
One look at the script and I would hit the bottle in despair thinking I could ruin my entire acting career under their leadership.
I am surprised Josh hasn't gotten soused up yet. I mean really.........squishing a tree frog?

 Oh, yes it was!!!
I'm not so sure Jin will be written out.
In MR's case she was utterly hated by many Lost fans and not particulary liked by her fellow co-stars, she may have have the infamous "morals" clause in her contract giving them a way out to get rid of her without monetary consequences to them.
That would explain letting go of CW as well. If they wanted to wield the morals stick on MR so she wouldn go quietly the they had to write out CW too.
AAA may have had problems on the set and he may have wanted out of his contract, so the timing was right to say bye-bye to hs character.
In all of those cases something other than booze and wheels was going on, so unless he wants to go then the only reasion he'd be fired is if they already planned it before his stupid move.

Well, unfortunately it looks like they're going to have to kill another character off and like Mr Ecko it's a good character. Jin was arrested for drunk driving in hawaii so odds are he won't make it through the season. Hopefully they let him go out in a good way unlike Ecko. I know there are going to be naive people saying "ecko, anne lucia, and libby's deaths were all planned", but you'll still be saying the same thing when Jin dies too.

They are BORED. Give them something to do. I know, how about give them a script, and a set, and make a SHOW already...
Seriously though, I dont take drunk driving lightly - shame on him.
well, i REALLY REALLY hope that the producers were telling the truth about the other 2 that got a dui and then were killed off that they were not killed off BECAUSE of it... otherwise we may lose DDK, and i REALLY dont want that to happen.

For all we know, he might have already been written off the show/killed off and that's why he was drinking in excess. However, if he did the crime, then he should do the time. I'm really sick of seeing stars get a light sentence.

Other three... Don't forget Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje had a little run-in with Hawaii 5-0 and then, Mr. Eko gets into a smack down with Smokie.

Wasn't it revealed that Triple A (as I call him) wanted off the show because he was unhappy with the long, drawn out shooting schedule, plus he was having to turn down other offers? I vaguely recall reading that.

Yes, but didn't that story come out after his character was killed off? If so, that puts his character's demise into the same situation as Ana and Libby.

Except the difference was that they REALLY tried keeping his demise a secret, so they held off ANY info about his antics on the set and displeasure with the schedule till after he was killed off.
<crosses fingers for DDK>
P.S. Thank you Mods for merging. I thought there might have already been a thread but I couldn't locate it.

It must be extremely stressful on that island. I really hope they don't kill him though, I can't stand Jack, Kate, or Sawyer. Its the second class characters that make the show for me.
An apology from Daniel Dae Kim via his MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/danieldaekim):
AN APOLOGY
I am deeply ashamed and embarrassed by my actions of Thursday morning. It saddens me to know that I jeopardized the welfare of the kind people of Hawaii, a community that I love and call my home.
It is my intention to cooperate fully with the police and I am grateful to them for their sensitivity throughout this matter.
To my friends, family, colleagues and fans, thank you for your kind words of support. To those I have disappointed I can only ask that you accept my heartfelt apologies. I am truly, truly sorry.

ALTERNATIVE THEORY:
Maybe Watros and Rodriguez both found out their characters were to be killed the night they got drunk. And, maybe DDK has just recently filmed his own death scene for Season Four -- or maybe TPTB has just shown him the script in which he'll be killed -- and that's led DDK to his own drinking spree.
Just a possibility. If an original cast member were to die, unfortunately, I'd put money on DDK before anyone else. (That's the sad truth, too, as I prefer Jin over Sun immensely as a character.)

you gonna tell me that 4 people all acted in the same manner of finding out they are losing their job and go get drunk and ALL GET CAUGHT!?!?!?!?
ludacris.
TPTB are full of it when they say that those charactors werent killed off because of their legal troubles. they are 100% lying. if jin gets killed off shortly, then we all know for sure why.

Well, I'll say one thing for him: He is the only one who was arrested to make a public apology. I mean, Michelle Rodriguez pretty much gave everyone the finger when she was arrested, and Cynthia and AAA both just remained silent. Daniel is owning up to his mistake and apologizing, and I have to think that means something.
