Nice, Foxxie!!
I attempted to log in just to see what would happen and got this:
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5996/maxwelleq0.jpg
Note the date and time (though I'm not sure they'll make us wait another month). I believe that 08:15 UTC converts to 03:15 EST.

Could it be the date/month reversal, so it's really January 2, 2008?

:yeah: I like that idea better. :p

I wonder if the user name and password are the ones we used to register on the find815 site?
I tried that earlier and it didn't work.

I tried Christiane1 as a username, but only tried "blackrock" as a password. I figured we might as well try the clues from the picture, since they were sent from Maxwell Group, presumably. But then I got lazy. :p

I used my own user name and password from the find815 site and got that error message that was posted above.
On Dark's site someone sees a ourus (sp is wrong probably) in the Maxwell logo, also the compass was used in TLE for a site already too.

um yeah Chaz, that's why I posted it, lol. Have you been up all night? I just remembered the other site was, let your compass guide you, the limon site. So at least there is some connection to TLE,

Snakey, what am I missing or forgetting? What's the Hawking connection?
Hawking was wearing a broach that was an ouroboros.

It doesn't seem to be an ouroboros, though, as that is a serpent eatings its own tail which forms a circle.
Also wanted to point out that on the Portland billboard, next to the flight attendant's shoulder it says MAX vertically. So maybe there's a connection to Seoul and Paik?
Tres, it is tho not all are with a mouth in tail, the symbology is still the same. I have many of them in my photos, in case I want to change my avi, as well as from studying ancient mythology.

Tres, did you see the comment yesterday by a woman in Korea, she said it says in Korean that the 6 are alone or something like that , I believe I posted it here, somewhere but it came from Dark's site originally. So the Korean wording on the billboard also has meaning to the game.
Tresbien
01-02-08, 05:24 PM
Thanks for that info snakey! No, I didn't see the post by the Korean woman but will look for it. Since Ms. Hawking is so integral to the LOST story, it makes sense that it would fit in here. Regarding the link, I'm almost convinced that Sam, Nathan and killen_tom are the same person. At the very least they strongly resemble one another.

That appears to say IMAX, as in theater.

Thanks TPTP for the 6 people info. I don't see an I above the MAX at all, though.
I've also been looking at the 3F and 2F to the right of her hair and wonder if they are seat numbers. Additionally, on the left-hand side of the billboard to the left of the large oval light, there is a 9 and 98 or 9S that appear to be superimposed.
Maybe we're looking at different things. :)

I think the 98 or 9s you are referring to is ornamental ironwork from one of the sign braces.

You may be right. Perhaps I was on that track because I was already thinking about the 3F and 2F as seat numbers.

"Only 6 people of/among them..."
this would fit well with the whole Oceanic 6 idea (those who make it off the island wouldnt it?
Yes it would LAN, like the public thinks there are only 6 survivors...hmmm.

I have nothing on maxwell, but I did just see an ad for an ad (not a mistype, it was a 'watch later on' type thing) for Vantage Point .. "check the numbers in the <something> and go to abc.com/solvethepuzzle and get extra lost content"...

Hmmm... interesting interview... Talbot in essence saying "Gee, it would be nifty to salvage this plane and do further investigations.. but it ain't gonna happen." Sounds like what we suspected all along.. that he was the one who sent Sam on the goose chase to find the fake plane.
I was kinda hoping the interview would clue us in to the username and password, but to no avail.. unless I missed something.
Considering how massive this Find815 was in scope.. I'm a little disappointed in the end. Don't really know what I was expecting... just more then what I got I guess.

so, who all felt really really vindicated by the Oceanic commercial with Sam last night.
I am sure many of our friends here who never leave the cozy confines of the General Discussion area were really mind-blown by Sam and the image of the tail section of 815 at the bottom of the ocean.
I have to say after the fiasco that was TLE and all of the division on this board---it felt really good seeing that commerical last night.:)

I didn't feel vindicated at all. Actually I felt cheated. We were told we would get a special announcement and all it was was a tease to get all the people who didn't know about find815.com to go there. For those of us who've been following it all along and playing along, patiently (and sometimes not patiently) waiting for the next clues...well, let's just say it was a real let down.
And now the-maxwell-group.com website is different but the link doesn't load and we still don't have a username and password. All I can say is !
And I had to sit through that stupid Eli Stone show! What a gip.

I get what you are saying but I just have to ask if you were here for TLE?
The debate raged on ad nauseum for weeks over whether TLE was canon or not.....whether it had a place for discussion on this board or not.....etc. etc. etc......and then the payout from TLE was not so much..............and a lot of us (myself included) had a little egg on our faces.
And by the way...............I know that major spoilers came out for Episode 1, 2, and 4.....but if those spoilers hadn't come out the people playing find815.com would have been significantly ahead of the non-players and the spoiler fanatics.
I mean, I would consider knowing that there was a fake 815 on the bottom of the ocean and that Widmore and maybe Oceanic were part of the conspiracy to be a major revelation that most of the general discussion area folks would have no knowledge of.
So, whether the commerical was all that special or not the fact is the game itself had a pretty good payoff in my opinion......and I'm sure maxwell will be up and running soon.
Winston Smith
02-01-08, 05:00 PM
I'm not complaining about the find815 game. I thought it was awesome. And yes I was around for the previous TLE stuff and found this one paid off a lot more. I guess I'm upset because I thought the commercial was going to lead us, the one's who have been following it faithfully, on a different path and those who didn't know what was going on would have to start at find815 and catch up. Oh well....
On the plus side I did finally get the UCLA radio to load. Why they gave us a link to another site rather than simply put the audio on the maxwell site is beyond me. Makes no sense at all. Anyway, after you get the UCLA site to load, you have to wait to load another page that has the audio on it. ALL in all it took like thirty minutes, and the interview was pretty lame. The only thing I got out of it was that The Maxwell Group is a conglomerate of corperations that works on perserving the sea floor or something like that. I can't remember the exact qoute.
(Man, I'm just complaining about everything today! Maybe it's because of the few too many beers I went through celebrating lost day last night! :D)

Hey SYITNL,
I'm sure it will come from something or someone on the freighter. When I heard the Avellino name during the golf scene I thought that maybe that was a piece.
We have anyone who could gently nudge the site and see what they find?

That YouTube vid isn't from the folks at HOODLUM.
Looks like some sort of fan creation.
Either way, Maxwell isn't "canon" to the show (said Damon in the recent EW interview), so none of this stuff really matters now anyways. :p (except for maybe the Widmore connection)

If we are to believe this YouTube users country, they are Russian.
The folks at HOODLUM are Australian.
Besides, the game is over, their contract with ABC is expired, so I highly doubt they'd continue to work for free. They do other ARGs I'm sure, so they'll want to get to work on that stuff now that Find815 is done. :)
I don't even think ABC is paying to keep the sites online past the first 8 episodes. :p
