If you own a Microsoft Mouse, you may already be familiar with the IntelliPoint software. With
version 6.2, Microsoft includes a button feature called Instant Viewer.
Instant Viewer provides a graphical representation (i.e. a screen shot) of all the currently running programs. The exception to this are dialog boxes. This makes task switching extremely intiuitive.
For Windows Vista users, whether you consider using the Instant Viewer may depend on the version of Vista you have and the capabilities of your machine. Vista's new interface provides a spectacular means of task switching, if you have the hardware to support it. However, if it doesn't, Instant Viewer can provide similar capabilities on a smaller hardware resource budget.
If you currently have a Microsoft Mouse, you can download IntelliPoint 6.2 here (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/Download.mspx). (Note: you will need to know which product you own.)
