I've tallied the nominations, and we have our five finalists for the Best Actor award.
The voting is private, and open to everyone, regardless of how involved you were in the game itself. The poll will close in 24 hours, so be sure to vote now!
Thanks to everyone who participated - there were a lot of folks who garnered nominations, but these five came out on top. I know any of them would be a worthy winner.

Bernard (TCS) - You were absolutely hilarious in all your scenes, yet managed to stay in character throughout. Superb.
Kate (cinderellabop) - When you said that you had written all your scenes so as to be layered and have new meaning at different points in the game, you weren't kidding. Excellent.
Locke (sgtdraino & LS) - You guys did a wonderful job of keeping Locke in character for the duration of the game. I could practically hear Terry O'Quinn on the walkie. Awesome.
Rose (GardenMom & Liz) - As GM said, she used her own personality and experience as a basis for her role. Well, I guess that means she's L. Scott Caldwell. Fantastic.

What he said. :)
I think everybody did fantastic. I'll give a particular shout out to Bernard. It wasn't exactly a performance I expected for Bernard, but it was so bizarre and yet somehow fitting, that I really dug it. The dual-personality love-hate relationship Bernard seemed to have with Rose. Excellent work, TCS!
Fancy Monkey, are you saying the voting is open to the entire board? Or anyone remotely involved in the game? I'm assuming you're pointing at "The Audience," assuming that's more people than just ozchick. ;)

Thanks, Rocky.
I think you did an excellent job as Sayid, as well. I could hear Naveen Andrews saying the lines exactly as you wrote them. I wish I could have had a scene with you. In fact, there are a lot of people I wished I had scenes with.
There are also a lot of people I wish I could have seen more from, just in general. Sawyer and Michael, in particular, come to mind.
But really, everyone did a great job!

Ah, Michael.
Conspicuously missing from this list..

Well, there's no real way to police that, is there? Anyone can vote. I would hope that there wouldn't be ballot-box-stuffing by people who have no idea what this is, but there's no real way of knowing that, is there?

I can't explain the 6 votes either.

Deciding on just three choices was the hardest thing to do. Everyone played their parts so well, and were so creative in developing the characters above and beyond what the show has offered us. I'll never be able to again watch the real Bernard on Lost without wondering if he's a mole. And if S4 shows Locke blowing up a Dharma station, I may just die. When I look at the list of members who are on this poll, I'm just floored to have Rose be in such talented company.
This game allowed me to already hit my own personal landmark. I made my 1,000 post at the beginning of the interrogation scene with Locke. Bring on S4!

Well, I for one will give a solemn promise to do no campaigning whatsoever. No PMs to anyone, no heads up, no nothing. The chips fall where they may.

I'm a legit audience member, I promise. I've read everything in this forum. I knew I didn't have time to play, but have followed along with the whole thing. I enjoyed it immensely and was glad to have the opportunity to vote. :D

It's truly a pleasure to be in such esteemed company. There's a reason I nominated two of you. :)
Suffice to say that I could truly read what you all wrote and see hear those words coming out every one of your characters' mouths.
I honestly wasn't sure if people would go for Bernard's strange interior behavior. He was a fun character to feel around with, mainly because he's such a blank slate. I envisioned him having dreams of being a secret agent type guy (bolstered by the alibi), wanting to be Rambo (cs1's stage direction), and being henpecked by Rose (evident from the show). My Bernard secretly craved time to himself (the paradox is that he strikes off away from Rose with her best interests in mind), but the minute he was by himself, he missed her. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it and...truly, thank you for the compliments.

Not even a hint of transference, TCS?
:D
I didn't get to see the show while most of it was in progress, but I was intrigued to see what was happening. I was here for the finale.
I have read and read. What a game. Bernard with his torture sticks on Jack! That was horrifying! LOL!
I have to vote for Kate. The way she almost got away with it. Masterful.

"I'm outraged! Outraged I tells ya that I, the magnificent Paulo -- who some people refer to as the Brazilian Lionel Barrymore -- did not just get nominated, much less just handed the award. However, to show you there are no hard feelings I'll provide croissants for the after awards party. Muuuhahahaha... "
Tough choice, all of them on the list were great. My vote went to Bernard. I really liked how Mr Meek gradually became nuttier and nuttier as the game progressed. Not on the list, but he deserves a special shout-out IMHO, is Michael.
"Errr... " Paulo furtively looks around to make sure Olivia is out of earshot, "of course, it goes without saying, that Nikki should have been best actress."

I would have nominated you, Paulo, but since you had already won Master Investigator, I felt it was necessary to spread the wealth. Everyone really was amazing.

They are pity votes because you so narrowly lost.
And I voted the only way that made sense-- only TCS could make Bernard sexy.

Actually, that was my first thought too. I already espoused the virtues of the other nominees, though, so it's the voters' loss. :)

Perhaps I should have mounted that aggressive billboard campaign. :D
Rocky, it's looking good for you and with good reason. You nailed Sayid and his very proper English. Great job, my friend.

Well shucks.
Thanks for all the (unsolicited) votes, guys!
And TCS, you can't win 'em all. But you can win a heck of a lot more than me. Just look at your Ego Wall when you're feeling blue.
And of course, I can't accept this award without thanking the Gamerunners profusely. Special mention to clayseason1 for facilitating all the wonderful scenes, to RoseArienH for her commanding performance as Arzt, and the myriad of other characters portrayed.
Recognition of course, is due to scotpgot for his organisation and commitment, Hodgepodge for getting this game off the ground, and Fancy Monkey for adding just a pinch of deviousness.
Thanks again for the award!
I got 11 alibis..

Well, congratulations, Rocky, you gave a fine performance. I have to admit that I'm pretty bummed I didn't do better, I thought I really had a shot. I wouldn't even let mrs vote for me, since she hasn't really been following the game. Too bad we didn't have a better turnout, considering there were 30+ people involved in the game (not even counting the audience), and only 24 people voted! Reinforces the feeling I had earlier, that we were mostly just performing for each other.
Hopefully next time we can attract a bigger audience!

We congratulate both the winners of Murder Mystery Theatre/Murder on Craphole Island!
We are proud to present the very first Murder Mystery Theatre award to that master sleuth -- Homer Noodleman!

It is equally delightful to present the Murder Mystery Theatre Best Actor award to Rocky Raccoon and everlost for their amazing performance in the role of Sayid Jarrah.

Sarge, you did such a fine job as Locke. Wow. Actually, it was a hard choice to make here.
I agree, there weren't enough votes to make it all that significant, though.
:rotfl: seeing Locke and the blow up. That was so cool.

Good thing for you Paulo is a humble sort, of course, being familiar with American football matches, he knows a little understated celebration is customary, so he puts on a bit of a performance as he walks up to the stage -- backwards moon-walking, hip-hop style dancing, and some tasteful pelvic thrusting behind Rocky.
"Hello, and I want to thank the little people for this award. Of course, since I am also known as the Brazilian Lt. Columbo, there is little doubt I would find my killer, even if I had to rely on clues so subtle even the game makers didn't know they existed! Magnificent detective skills, no?"
Seriously, I had a good time playing the game. And Rocky -- you waz robbed.
