View Full Version : The music just keeps getting better
The new music theme featured in several scenes like the Oceanic representative seeing Hurley and Charlie's return is amazing. Kudos to who wrote it. It really makes what's to come much more foreboding, mysterious and epic but at the same time sad. The score has always been solid but each season it seems to improve a lot and leave a more dramatic impact. What did everyone else think of it?

I've always loved Michael Giacchino's musical score, and I hope he wins an Oscar for his work on Ratatouille. :D

I agree Acyre. The music on Lost has always been one if its strongest points, and this season premier was no different. Personally I love how, in both TTLG, and now the premier we have seen that amazing "Life and Death" musical score come back. It was around a lot in S1 but has been pretty scarce since. I love that tune.

I am also a big fan of the "Life and Death" score, but I like the way it has been used recently: scarcely! Using this tune only when something tragic/important happens makes its use even better. Like only using it when an original castmember (or Desmond) dies or like it was used in during the last FB of exodus (IE during an important scene during the finale).

I like Locke'd Out the best.
I did truly enjoy the music in the finale. Some of his best work, IMO.
OH MY GOD--the piece at the beginning and end of episode 4.12 is AMAZING (Oceanic 6 meeting family montage and Ben surrendering and others in jungle/on freighter montage)
and it's used in 4.13 and 4.14 as well....BYOOOTIFULLLL
