View Full Version : Only a guest star?
One thing I noticed is that the opening credits has Charlotte, Miles and Dan listed with the main stars, but Frank is listed with the guest stars. Any ideas on what that's about?

They're going to kill him off?
I have no idea why they did that, but I'm sure it's nothing. Likely something to do with their contracts or something. Even some of the regulars have been listed as "Guest Star" from time to time.

All of that billing has to do with their contracts. Jeff Fahey is a more established actor that the other newbies, so he probably gets different billing and presumably different pay.
I sure hope it doesn't mean early death for him, b/c he is the best of the frieghties so far.

Last year, Danielle and Mikhail, guest stars, had a way greater part than Paulo and Nikki, supposed to be regulars. My feeling is that Frank can be important without a star contract, just like the Professor on Gilligan's Island.

Jeremy Davies has a better resume.

If he was getting special treatment he would be a Special Guest Star, not a Guest Star.
LOST has never had a "special" guest star that I've ever seen. No one is that special on this show....except maybe for Walt.....and he's guest starred before so.....whatever.
The point is, it has to do with their contracts and that's fairly privileged information IIRC. Hell, there's a guy (can't remember his name off the top of my head) who's listed as a series creator for LOST and he's never even worked on or for the show. That's Hollyweird for ya.
ETA - It's Jeff Lieber. Here's the article where they discuss how he's credited, and paid, as a creator for LOST although he's neither. (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1699641&postcount=2253)

Don't forget the episode with Lando Calrissian!
Was he credited as "Special Guest Star" in "Exposé"? I don't remember. I'm usually watching what's going on on the screen when the episode starts so I honestly never pay a lot of attention to how people are credited. :)
I re-watched S4E12 and it didn't say guest star in the opening credits. When does the status change? Anyone know? :)
He's listed as a guest star in the press release (http://abcmedianet.com/assets/pr/html/042808_12.html).
I see said the blind man ;) Brian :thankyous Almost the entire cast is guest star types :)

It seems that Frank has a pretty good following and no one seems to HATE the character, he almost has an early Desmond-like following. If he survives the finale, my money is on him being added as a regular due to the following.
Absolutely. Of course, for him to be a regular, I wonder if he'll have to stay on-Island or if he can still be part of the story off-Island. Let's just get through the finale with him first. :)
:yeah: What Brian said -
Let's just get through the finale with him first. Give me somthing to dream about til S5 :naughty:
I am with both of you about potential. To keep myself from a breakdown I must maintain the mantra - Blessed are they who expect nothing for they shall not be disappointed. :D
