I'm thinking Sun may end up having a "thing" we Hurley. After all, he's the only one that showed up at whatever it is Sun was going to. She's on the rebound and he has a very ample shoulder to cry on

I didn't realize I had to make any formal declaration of admiration and respect for Sun to be counted as a supporter, but if so, here it is. I like to profess my Sun love out in GD and the polls, where everyone can see it. In addition to her sultry dark eyed kissy lipped slinky physiqued perky bosomed spine of steel loveliness, she is hands down the smartest woman on Lost, and smart girls are just so hot. Her gaze would burn a hole right through you. She can sign for my package anytime she wants.

Given after S4E09 that the TPTB are dead set on wiping out every character who the audience might care about (Alex is dead and Penny's on the chopping block, after all), and Sun is top on that list for me, I'm going to post my theory of FF Sun here. Dead or alive, Jin's not back in the real world. After recovering from childbirth, Sun's got her game back on and decides to get her skinny butt back to the island (to find alive Jin or to avenge dead Jin and kick some ass). Her O6 survivor benefits give her plenty of cash to work with, but she needs a team, and who else does she know who has ready access to a bunch of stone cold killers than her father? Sun makes the appropriate salutations to her father, explains her needs, and of course Pa Paik is all over the idea of getting his hands on the island. He hands over the command of the best team of martial arts killers money can buy to Sun, and after wiping out most of Ben's FF network in the real world they find the coordinates of the island, and head out to find/avenge Jin, with only a brief stop to bust Hurley out of the mental hospital, he's her bud after all. They find the island. Enter Team Paik.

I think I'll post this in one of the main forums too, so more people will see it. :)

What a glorious episode for Sun! :wub::heartpump From her pointing out to Captain Obvious Jack that they are in shock, her getting Aaron off the island, her dazed arrival back in the world to meet her folks, her disgust at the spin Jack gives the story of the crash at the press conference...the total ownage of her evil boneheaded dad with the hostile corporate takeover, letting him know in no uncertain terms who'd be calling the shots from now on, the ruthless beauty I love is back in a big way. But I'm still holding on to hope that the circumstances of the escape only lead her to think Jin is dead...:Cheers:

Wow, I'm sorry. :cry: I live on the west coast and figured I'd be the last one to see it, I'll spoiler tag any "right after the show" gushings about Sun from now on...though as for me, from 7PST til I've seen the episode I stay off the boards. :) Rest assured though, there are some great non-Sun related moments in this ep I haven't spoiled here. ;)

Hope I am doing this in the right section, but when I read the news today, I thought Sun fans might like it.
Kim is in Italy today, as a guest for a fashion house, and our main national newspaper hasa a good photo gallery of her. Some of the pictures are gorgeous, it's defintely worth a look.

The S4 finale, what a great episode for Yunjin, what a sad episode for Sun. YK really tears up the screen when they give her a scene she can sink her teeth into, and I really feel the scene with her on the helo as it leaves without Jin and the freighter blows up is the saddest thing I've ever seen on Lost, YK sold that scene with everything she's got. Amazing actress.

Character-wise, this opens up a whole new world for Sun, she's got money, power, motivation, and targets for her vengeance. She has a baby girl to cherish and keep safe at the same time, so whatever she does, it has to be completely under her control. Sun is smart but ruthless, I so can't wait to see how YK portrays Sun as she starts down the road to get back at those who took Jin from her.* It's going to be evilicious.


*and no, Jin isn't dead, he's on the island kicking ass with Team Sawyer, think how sweet that reunion is going to be when Sun gets back to the island. :)

Sun is a class act. Since the beginning of Season One she has been value-added to the Losties, always helping Jack with medical things, helping Claire with baby, helping her husband get past her english.

Sun has composure under very difficult circumstances and you don't hear her crying and whining What are we gonna do ?! She does what needs to be done, including lending her sailing expertise on the boat with Sayid and Jin. She shoots the Other that comes onto the boat and you gotta respect that!

When Sun comes off the island, she confronts daddy-dearest AND Widmore and I really respected her for that.

I love her relationship with Jin. Typical marriage which requires loads of forgiveness over the years on both sides, and they're both obviously in love with each other.

What else can I say about Sun? She's very pretty. She's gracious and classy, supporting Kate in time of need at the beginning of Season Five.

Sun is solid. Dependable. Strong. It takes a strong person to live under a sexist culture and remain self-possessed.

She may not be a very exciting character, but she has a quiet strength which I adore.
