Hurley's stint in the Nuthouse

I think we can reasonably infer that Hurley was a patient in the mental hospital due to his comments in S2E1. Something must come to light in season 2 that gives us the reasons he was put in the hospital in the first place. He has seemed/does seem defensive about people thinking he is crazy, and he certainly believes that he is not.

It is a good possiblility that he was framed, or coerced into the mental hospital thing.

Anyone think the lottery was rigged?
A meteorite hitting the place he worked?

Hurley was put in the psych ward before the numbers and wining the lottery. I think it had something to do with him being overweight.
