That is all. Nothing more now. It just seems appropriate, considering my present condition.
I think I'll be audited for the next 5 years, at least. NEVER let a friend do your taxes...

Oh oh, I'm sorry for your troubles. I don't think you would really be audited for 5 years in a row though. Course I'm no expert. Hopefully you will be able to get through this trouble you are having.

You forgot bridges! A $220,000,000.00 (£110,000,000.00) bridge for 50 residents. Yet, we can't rebuild an outdated bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota that serves 140,000 cars a day, which collapsed, killing 13 people and injuring 100 others.

Well, if you're going that route... let's not forget the "big dig" in boston... for any who don't know it's a tunnel that goes directly under downtown boston. I grew up in massachusetts, and started working when i was 16. moved out of the state at 22. for 6 years i paid some of the higest state income taxes in the country for a damn tunnel that i have never seen, driven through or care about.
The Big Dig should have been called The Big Disaster. We're still feeling the after effects of it. Latest estimates put it at around $15 BILLION to complete, btw. You don't want to know what the estimated cost was.

Well, just for the record, I STILL hate the IRS.
The good news is, all I 'owe' them today is $11.46 in interest for my 07 taxes. I'm hoping they'll waive the penalty. I hear they never waive the interest. Still, after paying them close to $7000 last year, and a little over $6000 this year so far, $11.46 sounds ok to me.
My bank account can use the break!
