agreed, jacob seems to be able to manifest himself as anyone/anything he wants, probably Christian in this case as to be able to control Claire a bit more easily
The bigger question is Claire alive or one of Jacob's communicators.

Why would he tell Locke his name was Christian instead of Jacob though? To keep on good terms with Claire?
I think Jacob is the island. He can be whoever he wants to be, inhabit any souls left there. I think Jacob is much bigger than just "Jacob."

Then does Jacob just need to move himself? :D

:yeah: That is pretty much my take on the situation right now as well.

Yes. He can take - or maybe HAS to take - a physical form. So he chooses the form of dead beings. Don't understand why Claire is there and why she had to leave Aaron behind.

So Jacob's spirit is inside of Aaron? Would that explain why Clarie was "ok" with leaving her baby behind? Since Jacob is "everything"

I think that Christian IS alive. I have held that view since 2006. Check out my thread on the subject (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24022
).

So you don't think that Christian actually died?

I think Christian's body has unequivicolly been appropriated by Jacob's "spirit." And you know what that means boys and girls ...

Yeah but....
...the zombie season is supposed to be S7. :p
Seriously though, I agree with foxxie. I think Jacob can appear as whoever he wants to anyone, if that makes any sense.

Christian is not Jacob, or a manifestation of Jacob. When Locke asks him if he is Jacob, Christian specifically answers, "No."

Perhaps Jacob was using Christian's body as a mouthpiece, thus, the statement that Christian was speaking on Jacob's behalf (which would also explain why Christian's body was not in the coffin).
(OT) What I still don't understand is why the smoke alarm in the hospital went off when Christian appeared to Jack. Perhaps Smokey is an "element" of Jacob?
I thing there's more chance that Christian in Jacks Father! Dun Dun Dunnnnn
I doubt he would have had enough time to be a Doctor, Get Drunk and be the Leader of a Society on a Random Island.
Christian was MiB. He was MiB in the cabin with Claire, he was MiB on the freighter with Michael, he was MiB when he was trying to get Jack to fall off a cliff.
Christian came to the island in a coffin. Locke came back in a coffin. Same shoes. Something in this makes MiB able to take their guise.
He was trapped in the cabin somehow, pretending to be Jacob(?), but was released.
I don't see Jacob as the "deceiver," that's more MiB's role.

Why would MiB pretend to be Christian to people that have no idea who Christian is? Why would he act like Christian even in the presence of people who don't know Christian?
In Missing Pieces...
Christian refers to Jack as his son in front of Vincent.
Why would he do that, if he weren't really Christian?

That sounds very DEM (deus ex machina), i.e. "magical," and I don't think Darlton are going to go that route unless they absolutely cannot help it. Christian's presence and behavior will solidly fall within the realms of pseudo-science, not magic.
He was trapped in the cabin somehow, pretending to be Jacob(?), but was released.
It really was Jacob trapped in the cabin, not MiB. All evidence points to that.
