Anyone pick up on teenage Locke's little word play?

When the teacher was talking to him, he asked him what his interests are, the first one he listed was "boxing", hahaha, little did he know he would get all the "boxing" he could ask for, just not quite the kind he was talking about.

Yeah, when he said "boxing" I laughed. However, when he said his infamous "don't tell me what I can't do" I was sort of taken aback. I always figured he got that line from his male nurse who helped him after his 8-story fall.

Thanks! You never know, depending on if Locke is the reincarnate of someone, or actually himself reborn, he may have gotten that line from the nurse afterall haha.

This may sound bizarre, but I actually thought she looked alot like Reese Witherspoon, but my husband was swearing it was Claire, even though I told him he was totally mis-seeing and mis-interpreting the whole era of the flashback. Then he was clinging to his fantasy by claiming it was a Claire flashback to when she was born because Emilie was clearly playing her own mother. :rolleyez: I don't know when in the episode he finally gave up his dellusions, but he eventually did.

Funny I thought the same on both of them. When she first appeared I thought I know her, who is she. then one minute I think its Claire then the next I think Witherspoon and I never did shake the feeling like I had seen her before.

I think the actress who played Emily was meant to look like a young Swoosie Kurtz who plays Emily in her later years.

I couldn't find any vintage photos of Swoosie but she looked very wide eyed and had similar feautures to this girl. Plus they both have read hair.

More to the point why was Emily so admamant about the name "John"?
