Hey guys! I was wondering, (along with many of my friends) how exactly you pronounce Dominic Monaghan? I've heard it said so many ways, I just wanna make sure I'm saying his wonderful name right! Thanx so much!:lol

I say dom-in-ick mon-a-han... But, heck, I could be wrong... Is his last name German? I know he was born there and everything, but I am half German and I've never heard of it. Just wondering...

No, his parents are British, but they were living in Germany for a while.

And yes, you pronounce it Mon-a-han (or Mo-na-han - sounds the same to me).

His parents were British but his paternal grandfather was Irish.

His name is so thoroughly Irish that when I first read the cast list for LoTR (before I knew anything about him), I thought, Hey, one of MY People.

Monaghan is a County in Ireland. means "bushes". No @#%$.

That is the anglo spelling, In Irish it's Muinechain. (pronounced mweinahoyn)
