I think this is def. where radio is headed. Sooo many choices. I love the news/talk. And virtually every genre of music you could possibly want is available.

I recommend this service to everyone. I've been giving it as birthday, christmas, any occasion gifts. Spending $13 or $14 a month for radio sounds like alot to most people, but if you pay for a whole year at once you save a few bucks. All the music is commercial free--but the news talk has a few spots, but not many. There's a channel that plays nothing but the DEAD!!! 4 channels of comedy (raw dog- uncensored is the best!!) I found this crazy beeyotch from NYC on Sirius Left. Lynn Samuels at 1pm mon-fri. she's hilarious!! I love hearing "political" radio talk show where the host drops the F-bomb when ever the urge strikes.

There's NPR, Maxim radio--Guys gotta check out Covino& Rich at 3pm! I even listen to Martha Stewart (lots of food talk)

And finally........no I don't work for them. Radio is a vast wasteland up here in Vermont.

My dad had XM. Then he got a new car that had Sirius. He hated it. The car's radio could not be adjusted to receive XM, so he got a portable XM unit and renewed his subscription. He's still got some time left on the Sirus, but he never listens to it.

As for me, I am too poor to pay for radio.

My car came with an XM set up and I hated it! I wanted to switch it over to Sirius. The dealership said it could be done by replacing the chip inside the dash. It seemed like a hassle and I owned one that simply plugs into the lighter, so I didn't bother.

Originally, I got it because I could listen to NPR. I get the national broadcast but no local stations. I go from my Sirius to regular radio when I want to check in with some CT stations.

On a financial note, Sirius/XM stock is about .80 cents a share. A great buy, next fat paycheck I get i'm gonna buy a hundred shares. Great opportunity to double or triple your $$$. Sorry I mean MY $$$$$ .....I don't want to be responsible for any members here taking a loss. But the is a form of media that is NOT GOING away!!! And when the services finally do merge , the stock is gonna soar!! (Just my thought) Right now Sirius and XM have merged officially ( on paper) but the 2 services/programming still seem to be in the works.

I <3 my XM, but this Pandora thing is amazing. I've got 3 XM radios setup. One in the car, one in the living room and one in the bedroom.

Interested to see what kind of programming comes out of the XM/Sirius merger. They've only been talking about it for a couple of years now. :(
