Here are a few spoilers for the first two episodes of the new season from thepiehole at livejournal (http://community.livejournal.com/thepiehole/324611.html#cutid1).

Episode 2.1
Title: TBA
Airdate: TBA

Olive has a breakdown and packs up to leave in the middle of the night. Fearing that she’ll spill some pretty big secrets, Aunt Lily whisks Olive
off to a nunnery in the country.

Episode 2.2
Title: "Circus Circus"
Airdate: TBA
We open with Young Ned at school, using his gift to revive some baby birds. Unfortunately, the side effect of his gift impacts the class project.
A woman named Georgeann Heaps hires Emerson Cod to find her missing daughter, Nikki. The investigation leads them to a circus, a man named Bryce von Deenis, mimes who aren’t talking, and a car full of dead clowns.
Ned and Chuck are still trying to find a way to be around each other, despite all that’s changed. It’s awkward, but they both want to start fresh.
In an attempt to be more independent, Chuck has moved into an apartment across the hall from Ned so they are no longer living together, but she still visits The Pie Hole regularly. As do her no-longer shut-in aunts, which means lots of jumping behind counters and darting through doors for Chuck.
Olive, still in the nunnery, decides perhaps she needs to stay a while longer and turn over a new leaf.

Pushing Daisies - 2.03 - Bad Habits

We flash back to young Olive, age 9 years (20 weeks, 4 days, 11 hours, 33 minutes), fresh off her first riding lesson and completely besotted with horses. She asks her parents for an Arabian, but her request is summarily dismissed. Exhibiting a tenacity still evident in the adult Olive, the young girl decides to dig a hole to the Middle East and find a horse herself. Part way into this endeavor, she discovers a fossilized dinosaur. Young Olive trades the priceless artifact for her heart’s desire - a white Arabian horse.

Back in present day, Sister Olive, still inhabiting the nunnery, digs for truffles with Pigby, her truffle-hunting sow. One of her “sisters” turns up dead in an apparent suicide, but Olive doesn’t believe that and hires Ned and Emerson to investigate. As it turns out, the deceased wasn’t quite as devout as she seemed. With a pair of eavesdropping, gossipy nuns tripping them up, Ned, Emerson, Chuck and Olive attempt to get to the bottom of the crime before the Vatican Police - aka the Pope’s 007s - arrive.

Meanwhile, Ned is concerned that Chuck is so intent on clearing up her past while Chuck ponders her purpose in the present.

Tessa in Austin, Texas: Any idea if Kristin Chenoweth will be singing on Pushing Daisies again? I love Anna Friel, but Olive totally makes that show for me.

Title: "Bzzzzzzz!"

Olive is still in love with Ned and feeling the burden of unrequited passion as well as all of the secrets she’s carrying for other people.

Meanwhile, Emerson Cod, indulging his own passion, has begun making pop-up books. He’s created a series of books about “Lil’ Gumshoe”, a young girl detective. Emerson has time to do this because he’s able to solve his cases so quickly, what with Ned being able to wake the dead and ask them how they died.

Our mystery this week involves the death of Kentucky Fitz, the leading sales rep and number-one Bee Girl of Betty’s Bees, a beauty empire built on honey and honey-based lotions and potions. Dusty Fitz, husband of the deceased, wants her death investigated. The company says it was a work-related mishap; Dusty doesn’t believe them. Complicating matters even more, it appears Kentucky Fitz was having an affair. Or was she?

ETA:

Emerson’s mom, Calista, drops by his office for a rare visit and Emerson considers coming clean about a few things in his life. But before he can get to the dilly, someone else drops in - sexy Veronica Villeneuva. She’s there to request Emerson’s help in finding out who killed her best friend, Joe. But just how many “best friends” did Joe have?

The show is currently casting Ned’s identical twin half-brothers. We first saw the little devils in “Girth (http://pushing-daisies.com/spoilers/episode-15/)” when a cowboy-sheet covered Young Ned went trick-or-treating at his Dad’s house.

A casting call went out for a couple of “cute” 20-something boys to play Ned’s half-brothers in an upcoming episode. The boys are supposed to be identical twins and appear to be maybe 5 years younger than Ned. I wonder what fantastic profession they’ll have…

Pushing Daisies - 2.04 - Frescorts

Emerson’s investigation of Joe’s death leads to My Best Friend, Inc., a service that allows people to choose a “best friend” designed especially for them. Roommates Olive and Chuck go under cover as potential frescorts, complete with a secret incognito partners’ handshake, but a sudden forced proximity makes them question their recent living arrangements.

Joe’s roommate, Randy Mann, is a taxidermist who’s rather whimsical style unfortunately makes him a prime suspect. In order to get information from him, Ned invites Randy to a free cooking class at The Pie Hole, prompting an interesting personal revelation from Ned.

Meanwhile, Emerson and Calista (who is also a P.I.) have a falling out over Emerson’s pop-up book and the big secret it reveals.Source (http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/2008/07/pushing-daisies-204-frescorts_17.html)

'Everwood' Grad Debra Mooney Joins 'Pushing Daisies' (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/07/everwoods-debra.html)

http://popwatch.ew.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/07/25/mcbridemooney_l_2.jpg

Admit it: The resemblance is uncanny.

Beloved Everwood curmudgeon Debra Mooney has been cast as Chi McBride's chain-smoking, no-nonsense mother on Pushing Daisies, sources confirm to me exclusively. As of now, Mooney's on board for one episode, but I'm told the role has significant recurring potential. Of course, Debra Mooney's playing her, so how could it not?

As I first teased in this week's Ask Ausiello (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/07/ask-ausiello--1.html), Mooney's character, Calista Cod, is one of the best private investigators in the biz. She arrives for a visit with her boy (and ex-partner) Emerson, and winds up helping him with a murder case. As the two begin to reconnect, Mama discovers that her chip off the old block has been keeping some vital information from him.
And before you ask, no, Calista's not blind.

A woman comes to Emerson and wants to hire him to find her runaway teenage daughter Nikki. Emerson, Ned and Chuck find out where Nicki had run away to and when they get there, they find the man she was supposed to have been with dead. In the minute Ned has him re-animated, he tells them that she had left him to be with a clown in the traveling circus. Ned and Emerson go visit the circus trying to find her, which lead them to the group of clowns. When they find them dead in the morgue, Ned has to reanimate one to find more information about Nikki. Ned and Chuck discuss her moving out across the hall. Olive is settling in at a nunnery, pretending to be a nun-in-training.

Rebecca in New Orleans: Kristin, any more dish from Pushing Daisies? They were at Comic-Con, right?
Yes, and I'll be bringing you some divine interviews with the cast just as soon as our magical elves get it up on the site. In the meantime, the producers told me they loved David Arquette so much they are working on making him a recurring character, bringing him back again for the ninth episode. Apparently, he totally rocks as Ned's new best friend. Also, Broadway legend Debra Mooney (Everwood's Edna!) has been cast as Emmerson Cod's (Chi McBride) mother. And yes, last I checked she was still white!

I don't have much to contribute to the spoilage discussion, but I do know that Dean White will be directing an upcoming episode of Pushing Daisies.

Dean White has directed multiple episodes of The Shield, as well as serving as a Producer for 4 seasons. He's done a lot of television. "27 episodes of television on 17 different series," according to the Shield Media guide, where I got this tidbit.

Pushing Daisies: Ed and Lost Star Is Chuck's Dad! (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b65590_pushing_daisies_ed_lost_star_chucks_dad.htm l)

He's aliiiiiiive! Chuck's daddy, that is. And, well, perhaps "undead" is the more appropriate term.

Warner Brothers Studios and executive producer Bryan Fuller confirm to me exclusively that Josh Randall—who played Ed's BFF Mike on Ed and Nathan on Lost (the tailie who was offed by Goodwin)—will play the long-awaited role of Chuck's father, Charles Charles, on ABC's fantastic dramedy Pushing Daisies. (Keep reading for an exclusive sneak peek of his "invisible" new look on the show.)

I'm told Josh first appears in episodes eight and nine, "Comfort Food" and "Lighthouse," and that he may very well return for more episodes after that.

How many more episodes?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v698/Leuthen2/Spoilers/425pushingdaisies102408.jpg

Well, that depends on whether ABC does the right thing and picks up Daisies for a full season, which they—shockingly—have yet to do.

Needless to say, losing TV's most original and swoon-worthy series would be nothing short of a heinous crime, and we'll be rallying the troops in an organized effort to save Daisies this Wednesday. (Any and all ideas should be emailed pronto to tvdiva@eonline.com.)

Meanwhile, as you may remember, Ned's (Lee Pace) power accidentally killed Chuck's (Anna Friel) dad many years ago, so what the bejeezus is he doing back on the show?

According to sources, Ned undeads Charles to help Chuck solve some mysteries from her past, but Chuck doesn't want just one measley minute with her late father, so she just might step in the way of Chuck redeading daddy dearest...

Now, alive though he will be, Chuck's dad has been mouldering in the grave ever since the fine print of Ned's power killed him. As such, what with the 20-plus years of decay under his belt, Charles Charles' looks aren't what they used to be. I'm told the character starts off bandaged up like a mummy—an homage to the Invisible Man (see photo above)—but once the wrap is removed, Josh Randall will appear!

Sound off below with your thoughts on this casting, and any and all ideas on how to support this groundbreaking and lovable show...

When will the last episode of Pushing Daisies (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/pushing-daisies/287954) air? Will it seem like a "final episode" or will we be left hanging? — Bri

Mickey: The facts are these: ABC isn't talking, and Daisies doesn't appear on the network's midseason schedule at all, but if it does return in January, I'd ballpark the last episode to fall somewhere around the end of February. I'm hearing that by then at least one of the show's big mysteries will be solved, which will be a big relief for one Mr. Emerson Cod. In the meantime, look for Olive Snook to sing a Bangles song I embarrassingly once used as the seductive soundtrack to a fumbling, though ultimately successful high school assignation. Don't tell anyone though, OK?

I love Kristin Chenoweth!!! Just saw her sing O Holy Night on a Christmas special. It's amazing that such a big voice can come out of "itty bitty".
