I just finished watching all 3 episodes again and a few things popped out at me. I assumed that Charlie was in the mid section of the air plane when it crashed on the beach. During the flashback when he's scoring in the restroom, the turblance hits and he manages to crawl out and sit where what appears to me to be right behind the cockpit. Shouldn't he have been in the front portion of the plane that broke off? Or am I wrong and he was further back?!?!

As for the black & white imagery....When Locke mentioned to Walt about "Light" and "Dark" I noticed something later on the beach in the final scene for episode 3: Sawyer, Charlie, and I believe the pregnant girl (sorry I have forgat her name!) were wearing dark clothing and Sayed, Jack, Kate, Locke, Jin where wearing white shirts. I know it's probably nothing at all....maybe just a little foreshadowing if anything.....

I myself was wondering what year it was supposed to be. During Kate's flashback scene when she is getting her money out of the farmer's kitchen, I noticed several jars marked "2004".

Sorry if any of this has been discussed allready. :)

I assume that it is present time. Or close to it. There where some jars marked 2003 as well. They where on a farm and where putting up food. Mostly 2003 stuff an a litte 2004 stuff. Probally midsummer nought quite canning season yet. Hence the lack of 2004 cans and some 2003 stuff left.

Hmm.. the clothing thing is intresting. I never really noticed that I will have to think that one over.

Concerning the clothing my mind jumped a bit...did anyone wear a watch when they were shown directly after the crash?
Did anyone ever look at his/her watch?
That's probably far too trivial to show.

Yes Charlie should not be there. I have a very difficult time believing that after smacking the ceiling of the plane that he would leave the bathroom and run 20 rows back to the middle of the plane............even on drugs.:hat

But supposedly he did go quite a ways. In another post it says that he was in the business class, not First class. They cut outa few seconds of the part where he runs to those seats.

I'm assuming first class was overbooked, which is why Boone and Shannon had to go to business class. If all seats were filled, Charlie would have had to crawl back to business as well.
