View Full Version : Locke asked Boone "Don't you feel IT"
Does anyone remember at the end of episode 11, as just before Boone and Locke found the Steel enclosure, Boone said he wanted to go back to camp and then Locke said "Don't you feel it?", and boone said "Feel what?", and Locke replied "It". After that boone said he had enough and that's when Locke threw him the flashlight which he dropped and it landed on the steel enclosure. Locke has had a spirtual awakening of some kind and perhaps the island has something to do with it. In any case, Locke was being drawn to this metal enclosure. Perhaps in the earlier episode when he refered to looking into the heart of the island (or something like that), he refered to feeling the force at work there. In any case, I was wondering if anyone else picked up that statement and what your thoughts are on it (I HDTV'd the episode and replayed it)....

Yup. Locke definitely is in tune with 'something'. Check out the thread Ethan and Jack's fight for some interesting thoughts.

Good link. Sorry to say I missed it earlier, but it drove home the theory of the island having a force. This could also explain the boars and polar bear having extremley aggressive behavior until the Island recognized the survivors on the island. Locke definitley was the first to experience this energy (Walking, etc.) and the others are slowly succoming to its power. I wonder how Danielle has survived this long without becoming overly deranged...She seemed semi calm and definetley afraid of Sayid. Another thought comes to mind that perhaps only males succomb to this energy (negative or positive) as so far only Locke, Ethan, Charlie (trance) seem to be effected. I can't remember, but when Locke and folks were hunting the boars, Locke mentioned that the Males become feirce protecting the nest (or something)....I am of course overanalyizing this, but I agree the Island is the main character behind the curtin...

I have long thought there was some kind of electro-magnetic or similar energy radiating from something below the surface. But Aries, I don't recall anyone on the boards suggesting that it might affect males (yung did say maybe mothers were immune). I think you may be onto something: Danielle survived although the rest of her team was sick; maybe they were all male. Perhaps Alex is a girl and thus survived. Thus Walt et al would be in jeopardy but not the women (except by the newly aggressive males!)

According to my theory (http://p073.ezboard.com/flosttheunofficalforumfortheabcseriesfrm29.showMes sage?topicID=543.topic), Locke, being raised on the island as child, would be able to feel this type of radiation, so it fits neatly :)
That was I who suggested the Mother theory...
I see a fine line between several theories out here
Part Phili Experiment.. ie : the electromagnetic field strength/ Healing idea.... perhaps a sideeffect of the tests...
A definite Wizard of Oz thing, something behind all this...
perhaps The ALIEN X theory...
And I still think moms are special..

Locke: "My ID detector is tingling."
Boone: "What?"
