Dharma Test Scoreboard/Group Allocations

Hey Guys,

I thought we could keep a tab on who got what score and see who the dharma leaders are in our own group of webmazers. We will also post the group allocations in here as well as the number of Dharma points people have recieved.

Because of new info leading us to believe that cheating was intended for the test the scoreboard will now accept cheat scores. However if you are using the cheat please let me know because I do want to note on the scoreboard who used the cheat and who did not.


How to update your score
Please post a new post in this thread (do not ETA an older post) in the following format

Update: your new score (ex 87)

This is the easiest way for me to keep track of who is updating scores and who is posting their scores for the first time.

The Official time is the one that I managed to submit, after a fashion, by logging out.

My best score was a 79, but after hearin' that Truff scored 88 :Cheers:, I had to try harder. But since I also had to get some sleep, I had to settle for 72.

Oh and yeah, I'd also like to know what the deal is with "official score". Do you mean that you had tries which did not count because it froze and therefore your official score is lower than the one you should have?

Also, I suspect the leader board won't only be based on your best score but also on your progress and regularity. They might compile statistics to come up with a final result. That would explain why you can cancel a test: to keep your average high!

That's the way I understood the admission test for instance: there was no wrong or right answer but rather different perceptions and reactions.

Some people will adapt through cheating, some will rather do an average score than cheating, some will do awesomely good without cheating... I just hope they won't create a "cheating but still doing poorly" category though.

I regret the fact I cheated because I was fairly happy with my 83... well too bad. We'll see...

Hey All,

Ok so Rose has just PMed me the list of teams so far and I will be beginning my update momentarily. I will post the team list after every test result in case there are changes and we begin to suddenly switch groups.

Also since the leader board is now up and it doesn't seem to matter what your actual score was I have made everyone's personal best score their official score as I mentioned earlier.

Last thing, it seems that the Dharma Points we get are not related to our test scores so I will also be adding Dharma points after each test on the posts as well so please post how many dharma points you have (I think most people are at 0 right now though).

You SHOULD.. I think you're supposed to,

WEIRD <snip> happens when you cheat!

I Have Tabs open.. when I press the space bar to cheat ... some tabs turn blue and say 1 or 2 or 3 . Which tabs change seems random.. then one of the number tabs will turn green and say ok.

I don't know what it means or if It might lead to something else yet ... but It's better than just taking the test and NOTHING happening!

Second test: took less than a minute (I think about 54 seconds) because I only googled one answer; I definitely knew about five offhand and guessed at the rest. Used the cheat at the end ("C" blinked), and was grouped in Polyphemus. I wonder if that grouping is a result of time (longer time implying that one is looking up the answers), purely of # correct (because anyone can get 100% if they take the time to google), or both.

Test 1: After being assigned to Pandora, I went back and used the cheats and my score is now 99. (I also tried the negative number cheat and gave myself a score of -108.) I'm still in Pandora.

Test 2: I did use the i cheat when I took the test the first time. I probably got about six of the questions correct, and was assigned to Brontes.

It seems that once you are assigned to a group, there is no way to change it.

thats the cheat.. you use a non working, made-up email, hotmail.com, gmail.com, google.com, yahoo.com(i tried cox.net... but it came back different.. couldnt find cox or something.. so im only using web mail addresses)
but it has to be non working.. i accidently made up one and it sent... lol.. so some random stranger got an invite...

then you get the failure deamon email in your own email account..

then in that failure deamon email, you click on the link, take the intro test(if you double click on answers you can answer 2 questions at a time).. then registure...giving the fake name and username and password and fake email... then log out.. and close page.. and move onto the next failure deamon email... (Who needs friends... i do have to read their terms and agreements tho..)

my failure deamons go to my junk mail.. maybe yours are filtered out.. not sure..

I did consult Google for two of the first nine questions, and winged it on the tenth.

I think it takes em all. I'd bet the Leaderboard hasn't updated yet for this 24 hour period.

And I give up on these Dharma points. I don't have the time to register a million fake addresses and take the tests a million times. IMO, those points are gonna mean nothing but "bragging rights" (if you call the ability to sit in front of your computer and waste hour upon hour on this a feat worthy of recognition :nanabobo:).
If they send out Dharma swag, don't worry, if you entered a legit address, you'll get whatever it is they send. Your points won't matter.

What I want out of this experience is something, anything, that helps me to understand what the hell is going on in LOST. If that comes via an activity that Hans gives us, or experiments we conduct once placed in our groups.....just something to discuss while we endure this EEEEVIL HIATUS. :p

lol yeah , my hiatus might consist of mass failure emails.. to top the list.. keep on eye out for XxMayhemxX movin up the charts!!! i spent an hour last night manufacturing Dharma points for myself.. i couldnt do that every night for a few weeks.. id shoot myself...then i couldnt finish watching this series.. i have a job and other pursuits for cryin out loud haha
