Dharma Wants You - Own Test List

Yesterday they've posted a new video. Now you can generate your own multiple choice tests. Just go to "My Progress" and klick on the "Crerate My Own Test" button.

You can choose your test from one of 14 categories:
- Biology
- Communication
- Construction
- Education
- Engeneering
- Horticulture
- Language
- Mathematics
- Medical
- Philosophy
- Physics
- Psychology
- Assorted
- Other

You can choose a name for your test with maximal 50 characters. Also you need a test description with a maximum 250 characters.
Your test must have a 10 multiple choice questions. The question may have 500 characters and the 4 answers 80 per answer.

NOTE: You must check the right answer with a X in the box behind the right answer. You can switch between your test details and the 10 questions till you go to "Next" on the page of the 10th question. After that you cannot edit your test!

Why? Does the count of correct answers change the points you get? Do you even get points for making the test? I thought you only get points when people take your own test.

I just took your test - roman numerals happens to be one of the things that just happened to stick in my brain all these years from school. So I love the rare chance to use that knowledge. :) I think one of your questions may be wrong. :boxedin: I got a 90% but was surprised when it marked me wrong for #3 I'll put it in a spoiler so as not to spoil it for anyone else taking it.

The max 'I's you can put after a numeral - I chose "not listed" because wouldn't it be 3? and 3 wasn't listed. like VIII to show 8 because to show 9 you would do IX, not VIIII. Or am I wrong??

I just took your test - roman numerals happens to be one of the things that just happened to stick in my brain all these years from school. So I love the rare chance to use that knowledge. :) I think one of your questions may be wrong. :boxedin: I got a 90% but was surprised when it marked me wrong for #3 I'll put it in a spoiler so as not to spoil it for anyone else taking it.

The max 'I's you can put after a numeral - I chose "not listed" because wouldn't it be 3? and 3 wasn't listed. like VIII to show 8 because to show 9 you would do IX, not VIIII. Or am I wrong??

Tresbien test = 90 (those were fun questions!!!)

Sellistina118 test = 90 (but should be 100 because of wrong answer problem. BTW, I liked #3 the best ;) )

Janda Test = 90 (guess those three semesters of spanish paid off)

Ozchick test = 30 (and I took a semester on American theatre!)

Spybot test = 80 (i was surprised how much of that I knew :) )

Alvar test = 40 (I seriously have no idea how I did better on this test then Ozchicks. WTH is that about?)

APU test = 80 (great test. I love algebra! But what the heck is a median number anyway? I can't remember. And that last one totally fooled me.)

A: I believe 1882 which should technically make the answer choice C because if you put 1882 into the translator you get choice C backwards in binary. However the actual answer is B. Can someone help me out with that?

Translating the Morse -

Q: What year was the Dharma Initiative created?

A: I believe was 1967.
From the choices given you could tell that the Morse for the first three numbers was the same - the 1, 9, and 6.

I would like to think that the Morse translated to binary, but it was hard to tell because all of the - stuck together and I couldn't tell how many there were.

The answer turned out to be A.

Typing that long string into the translator led to -

Q: Who said, "Careful observation is the only key to true and complete awareness"?

It was Karen DeGroot. lstrm frhtppy translates to Karen DeGroot - I just counted up the number of letters for her first name because the last name obviously looked like it translated to DeGroot.

You go to Karen's MySpace and this question is in her profile:

"How long was the shift set for in the failed Orchid Orientation film?"

A: 9 Minutes

For this you go to Alvar's MySpace to find this question -

"Under normal pressure, what is the proper command to safely vent the tanks at The Tempest station"

A: set valveBC22 = open

So in reality - I only got like a 50 on that. DX

Selestina, I've only made it through questions 1 and 2, so I'll just help with those. I'm just putting where I found the correct answers.

The answer is 1881, which I found in a link in Truff's original webmaze guide.
The answer is 1970, which I found in the transcript of the episode Orientation. It's mentioned in the first orientation film Locke and Jack watch.

Hey, sorry to crush you,... but you don't get points for making the test, or for doing someone else's test.
You only get points when someone takes your test. And even then, it's one per customer...

They don't always show up right away, there seems to be a little wait time to see the numbers move... but if anything refresh and it usually goes up.
50 points for each time someone NEW does your test.

It wasn't meant to be tricky. I was thinking about what might a recruit going to the island need to know and read up on wilderness survival. The test was created based on that information, which I thought would be useful for anyone to know who might get lost in the woods.

Thought I'd report on some of my recent test results.

Lab, your music in Lost test was fun - but I only got 70. What WAS the song Jack was listening to? That's going to drive me batty...

Dharma is lost - loved your Sawyer and Ben tests! (love anything about Sawyer though...) There were a bit hard though... those episode title questions always get me.

Winston Smith - I am too embarrassed to say what I got on your booze quiz. I really must try to branch out from my usual red wine or manhattan and read up on mixology!

Drat - I love South Park but only got (cough, cough... ) 50 on Carmen's test. Just not enough time to catch up on all those episodes I've missed. *sigh*
