Okay, since the show is getting into filming or Fugitives now, I thought it would be a good time to make a separate thread for this volume so any residual spoilers can go in the Villains thread and new spoilers can go in here. :D

Here's our first bit from The ODI (http://heroesspoilers-odi.blogspot.com/2008/09/volume-4-casting-update.html):

Hey All,
With the first part (Volume 3) of Season 3 of Heroes close to wrapping production, we have slowly started getting new casting information for Volume 4 (Fugitives) which begins with Episode 3x14.

Today comes word via EW's Ausiello (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/09/tgif-casting-sc.html?xid=rss-ausiellofiles-20080926-TGIF%20Casting%20Scooplets:%20%27Ugly%20Betty,%27% 20%2790210,%27%20%27Heroes,%27%20%27Desperate%20Ho usewives,%27%20and%20More%21) that the Heroes producers are looking for a new character that is a "Badass FBI Agent" similar to Tommy Lee Jones' character in the movie The Fugitive.

Based on the info about Volume 4 being called Fugitives it seems like this new character will be a recurring role.

As soon as we hear more about this character we will let you all know.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oooh. So is it a replacement for HRG? Or is the FBI really getting involved? Ooh.

Executive producer and writer, Jesse Alexander, posted this storyboard from episode 14 on his Flickr today. It's Nathan entering/exiting an airplane hanger and watching another airplane fly overhead.

There's been a casting update for Fugitives:

The Heroes production team has been casting for the second half of Season 3, which is known as Volume 4: Fugitives.

We have begun getting little tidbits already for Fugitives and today we receive another casting update from Ausiello (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/10/ask-ausiello-sp.html), who is reporting that there will be a new character by the name of David and will be filled with "teenage angst".

David is scheduled to appear in at least 3 of the episodes in Volume 4.

The interesting thing is we posted a casting call for the new Webisodes a couple of weeks ago that included a character by the name of David Sullivan. This character was supposed to have a Jekyll-Hyde type of personality.

So do you think this could be the same character?? Will we first see him in the webisodes and then Volume 4??

Source (http://heroesspoilers-odi.blogspot.com/2008/10/volume-4-fugitives-casting-update.html)

Just what we need - more angst on this show. XD I have enough trouble keeping Gabriel from angsting when I write him in my fanfiction.

Greg Grunberg recently gave an interview at the Scream Awards where he talked slightly about Fugitives:

Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman was on the red carpet for SpikeTV's Scream Awards and IESB (http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_seyret&Itemid=227&task=videodirectlink&id=1594) was able to chat with him.

Grunberg confirmed that production on Volume 4: Fugitives is beginning and provided us with our first confirmation that the Heroes will be on the run during the second half of Season 3. Grunberg stated that there is "one looming power" that has all of the Heroes on the run together.

Of course many of you know The Hunter was recently cast and I am sure he will be the one chasing the Heroes.

We may have our first title appearing for Fugitives. :)

Vol 4 Fugitives Episode 3x14 Title Revealed!?

Hey All,
How's it going today!? Just in case you did not know, Season 3 is split into two Volumes (parts) and Volume 4 is called Fugitives, which begins with Episode 3x14.

Well today we get word that the title for that episode is "A Clear and Present Danger". If this is true, it is a very interesting title perhaps confirming that the fugitives are a threat and that is why they are being hunted.

Thanks to George for the heads up who noticed the title on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1054835/).

NOTE: There is no official confirmation on this title and IMDB is similar to a wiki where any one can update the site.

Either way, I am going to stay with this title until we hear some thing different.

We have a little bit more casting news today:

Talk about casting against type.

Dan Byrd, best known for his roles as sensitive, wholesome teens on Aliens in America and Clubhouse, is about to tap into his inner Henry Evans. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Byrd has been cast in the recurring role of David, a dark and twisted kid who tells lies easily and has a cruel streak. He's teenage angst incarnate.

Byrd is committed to appearing in a minimum of three episodes during Heroes' forthcoming "Volume Four: Fugitives" arc.

Source (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2008/10/casting-news-dan-byrd-joins-cast.html)

YAY!Jekyll/Hyde powered character! I hope he's a good addition (I've never heard of him before) and that he's transitioned into the plot better than past characters have been.

I just got a bit more information on the casting and character of David thanks to Ausiello at EW (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/10/dan-byrd-joins.html). This part is new info!

Word is he'll be a possible apprentice to Sylar (Zachary Quinto).

[...]This marks the second major piece of casting for the "Fugitives" volume. Last week, my frenemy at E! broke the news (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b64432_emmy_winner_comes_heroes.html) that Damages' Zeljko Ivanek was coming on board as the Hunter.
Looks like I may have ID'd his first quarry.

*flails* I LOVE that fact that this David character will be hanging out with Sy. The Jekyll/Hyde power just makes me giddy! :D

Greg Grunberg recently did an interview about Fugitives and a little bit of Villains. Here's a summary:

1) Volume 4 puts the Heroes in a "Guantanamo Bay kind of a situation" and they all have to work together to get out of it.

2) The Hunter is trying to track them all down

3) There is a big Cliffhanger in Epiosde 3x13 (end of Volume 3) that will lead into Volume 4.

4) Matt will take a very dark turn in Volume 4, but there is a reason.

5) We will learn more about Daphne's motives

6) We will see more of Matt and Daphne together in Volume 3

7) In next week's episode 3x07 Daphne is indeed sent to kill Matt

And here's the article (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2008/10/greg-grunberg-talks-fugitives.html).

Episode 3x17 - Title Confirmed and More

Hey All,
If you are a fan of HRG and the actor who plays his character Jack Coleman, well then you need to check out his blog over at TWOP called The HRG Files (http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/blogs/guest/the-hrg-files/volume-7----a-sea-change.php#more).

This week's blog revealed the title for Episode 3x17 as "Cold Wars" and he confirms that filming begins tomorrow. Coleman says that this episode is a "huge" one for HRG like Company Man in Season 1 and he provides us with a little preview of what the episode will be about!!

Here you go:

It won't air until February, I guess. I can't tell you a lot about it other than there's a kidnapping and mental interrogation. It will be a really cool episode, a psychological thriller. If you miss it, you will be hunted down and... rehabilitated.

Heroes:
Some new details about the start of Volume 4, "Fugitives." The arc picks up three months after the end of Volume 3. Claire is getting ready to go to college, when she finds out that her bio-daddy Nathan has created a special section to detain anyone with superpowers. Nathan's mission excludes Claire, Peter and Angela, so Nathan himself won't be exposed as a superhuman. But Claire hears that Nathan's next target is Matt Parkman, so she rushes to save him. Meanwhile, Mohinder and Tracy are still working on developing a new superpower formula (why why why?) and the special properties in Mohinder's blood make him an important factor in fighting the new heavy, the Hunter.

At last, most of the heroes are captured and on a plane en route for Guantanamo Bay. Claire gets loose and tries to free the others. Tracy freaks out and freezes the plane, killing the pilot. The plane crashes, but first Peter jumps out with Claire.

In the second episode, we discover most of the heroes survived the plane crash, but Maya was captured. Meanwhile, we learn more about the Hunter's past ties with HRG and Angela Petrelli. And Hiro and Ando help Daphne search for Matt Parkman, who meanwhile discovers his ex-wife Janice is about to give birth to a son who's important to the Hunter.
In the third episode, Matt's son is born and we see the death of a character who first appeared in Volume Two. (Maya?) In the fourth episode, "Cold Wars," we learn still more about HRG's ties with the Hunter, and a Cold War program that trained people to hunt down superhumans. And in the fifth episode, Sylar infiltrates the team that's hunting superhumans. Sylar discovers his dad is still alive — and it sounds like he's the team's next target.

And then in the sixth episode, "Shades Of Gray," we discover the whole story about (yawn) Sylar's past. We'll get flashbacks, but no actual time travel. In the seventh episode, Monica (remember her?) reappears, and she's the key to helping some of the heroes escape from captivity. And allegedly, invisible man Claude is back in episode nine. In the penultimate episode of the volume, there will be two major deaths, and in the final episode, there'll be "the mother of all deaths," plus a shocking plot twist. Question: Any new Heroes scoop? -- Caroline
Ausiello: I'm tempted to tell you who almost beat out Lionel Luthor (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/12/john-glover-cas.html) for the role of Sylar's pop, but I don't think you'd believe me.Actually, I know you wouldn't believe me.

I have some FREAKING AMAZING news (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/01/exclusive-heroe.html) right here . . . even though I am still upset over the treatment that Daisies got by ABC.

Exclusive: 'Heroes' stages 'Pushing Daisies' reunion!

It's not exactly a Pushing Daisies resurrection, but I'll gladly take it (and so should you): Swoosie Kurtz is reuniting with her former Daisies boss, Bryan Fuller, on Heroes!

Kurtz's spokesperson confirms to me exclusively that the actress has inked a deal to guest star in an April episode of Heroes written by, yep, Fuller himself!

"Bryan wrote the part specifically for her," says Kurtz' spokesperson of her character, Millie, an old society friend of Angela Petrelli's. "It's a really fun role."

As of now, Kurtz is signed for one episode, but there's definite recurring potential -- particularly if NBC renews Heroes for a fourth season (as many expect it will).

Heroes' Fuller-infused fourth volume, "Fugitives," kicks off on Feb. 2.

Meanwhile, there's still no news as to when or where ABC will air Daisies final three episodes -- and, in this case, no news is definitely bad news.

Not cool, ABC. Not cool at all.

However, the Kurtz/Fuller reunion on Heroes? Very cool. You with me on both counts? Sound off in the comments!

I'm saying it right now . . . . I seriously want this old friend of Angela's character to be Sylar biological mother. Not only would that be freaking awesome because Ellen Greene played Virginia Gray . . . Swoosie and Ellen played Aunt Lily and Vivian on PD. If there's that kind of a tie-in, I would die at the WIN.

Also, Sy would have freaking sweet bio-parents from other shows. I mean Lionel Luthor as his dad and Locke's mom as his mom. Just a match made of WIN there. :D (And a match of potential crazy . . . but Virginia had her own brand of special crazy herself we should remember ;) )

That would be so awesome! I'm hoping she's Sylar's mom too!

Here are just a few tidbits of info:

- Episode 3.21 (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2009/01/volume-4-episode-3x21-title-revealed.html) may or may no be called Into Asylum
- Daphne and Doyle will share a scene (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2009/01/daphne-and-doyle-to-appear-in-episode.html) (or at least be in the same room) on either Epiosde 3.20 or be filming the scene on March 20th (which would mean that the scene would take place towards the end of the season).

Latest Volume 4 Details from New Heroes Producer (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2009/01/latest-volume-4-details-from-new-heroes.html)
Posted by The ODI at Thursday, January 08, 2009

Here is a nice article about what to expect as far as changes and what will be different in Heroes Volume 4 Fugitives.

New Heroes writer Mark Verheiden discusses the plans for Fugitives and that both Nathan and Sylar will have new and "fun" story arcs.

We have already seen what the plan is for Nathan and other spoilers have confirmed that Sylar will be searching for his roots, mainly his REAL parents. He also confirm that both Pinehearst and Primatech are no longer "viable".

Here is that article thanks to our good friends at io9 (http://io9.com/5124645/heroes-return-will-be-more-intense-better-claims-producer) via CBR (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=19405).

NBC's Heroes may have had its fair share of critics of its third season so far, but new writer/producer Mark Verheiden wants fans to know that their complaints aren't entirely falling on deaf ears.

Talking about ways in which the writers are trying to improve during the upcoming Fugitives arc, Verheiden explained that both the form and content of the series is about to change:

What we tried to do with the show as a group, people will notice that we’re not doing as many stories per show and lingering a bit on the stories we’re doing... I think in going forward what we’re probably doing is leaving some of the stuff of “Villains’ behind. You’ll see that Primatech and Pinehurst aren’t viable anymore. So those entities will be dissolved and a couple of characters have decided to, one in particular, taken a dramatic new turn that will set off where we’re going with “Fugitives’ very clearly. The Nathan character played by Adrian Pasdar, a great actor, he has some really fun and emotional turns coming in the “Fugitives” arc. There’s also a great arc with Sylar coming up. Very fun.

Such changes, he explained, aren't just the result of fan complaints or network notes, but self-correction from the people working on the show. But that doesn't mean that criticism and complaints go unnoticed:

[W]e’re not deaf. We listen to what the general drumbeat is and as we go forward, I think we’ve made some adjustments. But they were adjustments that were being made before all this stuff really came down. One thing I’ve learned after doing this for a while is that you can’t really control that sort of thing. You can just do the best you can do. That’s what I’m about, trying to do the best shows we can do. I was reading somewhere where someone suggested that, “well they must not care about the show.” [laughs] Critique it all you want. You can have all the issues you want, but in terms of caring I’m telling you we care about the show. Not just the writers, not just the producers, the cast, the enormous crew, everyone. It’s a little absurd... You don’t stay in the office until midnight and work seven days a week and all this stuff because you’re just knocking it out... [E]verybody who’s there is killing themselves to make the best show possible. You can’t fault us for lack of trying.

Here are some new set pics of Zach filming on a roof in what I guess is rain that he made(or it just started raining randomly and Sylar is feeling playfull?)? (I'm not sure, but it looks cool).

There's also a video here (http://www.jfxonline.com/video/2009/01/14/pap-101-sylar-vs-jonzen/) that goes with it, but the paparazzi is annoying as anything (at least to me), but then again . . I have yet to see a classy paparazzi.

ETA: ODI said that he filmed that scene for two days, so they are doubting that he can control the weather, but rather that Sy feels free. ^.^

Heroes Returns to Roots in Midseason Reboot

<LI class=first>Jan 15, 2009 06:09 PM ET
by Tim Molloy (http://www.tvguide.com/authors/Tim-Molloy)

http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/090112/News/Todays_News_Our_Take/4_thurs/090115masihayden1.jpg Hayden Panettiere, Robert Forster and Masi Oka

Heroes (http://movies.tvguide.com/heroes/100792) will go back to its roots in its midseason return, trying to win new viewers and recapture those turned off by too many characters and plotlines.

"This volume starts us pretty much from scratch," creator Tim Kring (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/tim-kring/281427) said in a statement Thursday. "There is almost nothing that the audience needs to know from the previous volume in order to follow the storyline."

The reboot may be arriving just in time to save the show, which has faltered in ratings and irritated many fans since it's successful debut season.

Angela Bromstad, NBC's president of primetime entertainment, said Thursday that the show was "very secure" — but she didn't go so far as to announce its renewal, as she did for The Office, 30 Rock, and The Biggest Loser.

Bromstad said she's talked with Kring about whether the show has strayed too far from it's original focus: ordinary people dealing with extraordinary powers.

"They may have taken on too much in terms of characters and multiple storylines," she said.

The fourth volume of the show, airing Feb. 2 and entitled "Fugitives," features the heroes trying to lead normal lives — until Claire (Hayden Panettiere (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/hayden-panettiere/153326)) discovers a plot to hunt down and capture those with powers, orchestated by Nathan (Adrian Pasdar (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/adrian-pasdar/138247)).

Damages (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/damages/288002) actor Zeljko Ivanek (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/zeljko-ivanek/179844) will play a character called The Hunter.
Finally, in a long-awaited development, Sylar (Zachary Quinto (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/zachary-quinto/191120)) will begin the search for his real parents.

Selestina118

I know . . . they've said this every season. Like I said before, we need continuity monitors to keep the writing tight. We know who these people are . . . yes, it's nice to see them in their normal lives, but what we really want is cohesiveness. I kind of ignore Kring now because everything he says is a rehash of what he has said before. Give me the other writers and actors.

Yeah, I guess that's why I was getting in a snit. Fans WANT cohesiveness, even it they are going to do short volumes that are stories that can stand on their own. So I don't even get what he hopes to accomplish by these types of statements.

Couple things going on . . .

First, The Haitian won't be seen much (if at all) during Fugitives. Here is an interview (http://www.lotsofinterviews.com/#/interviewjimmyjeanlouis/4532591285) with Jimmy Jean-Louis about this.

Second, James Kyson Lee tweeted (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2009/01/james-kyson-lee-confirms-filming-via.html) about having to shoot a 14 hour day with director Greg Yaitanes and being excited that Bryan Fuller is back.

Third, here are some pictures from last Monday's filming. They are of Milo and Cristine outside of a church and in an alleyway and yet again, it is raining. It makes me wonder if they are just making it really rainy for mood or if Sy's causing the natural disaster (http://losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2535270&postcount=39) to occur. I'm thinking the former. :D

I'm done with reboots and promising a jumping on point and that things are going to be better without explaining HOW they are going to be better. And that article just convinces me that they have no idea what the problem is. The problem is NOT too many characters, it is that the characters are not written well as far as transitions go and the writing of arcs is bi-polar at best. THAT is the problem. They said they had the same problem at the beginning of the seasons. Their answer? Kill off all the cool characters introduced in season 2 and for some reason Maya still lives. So we'll be losing Daphne in the first couple of episodes and from the sounds of it, the Haitian can very well be on the chopping block. The problem is not the too many characters, LOST has a lot of characters that for some reason they keep together. What really pisses me off is that the answer is simple: STAY ORGANIZED AND LISTEN TO THE FANS! Just have outline of what character has gone through what and how long they are going to be in that status and keep characters more streamlined as far as character changes. Like have people making sure that Sylar doesn't go from bad guy to guy seeking redemption to definitely good because he was seen as good in the future to confused to definitely evil. Just keep it together. IE HAVE THINGS PLANNED WAY AHEAD OF TIME! Then listen to people on the internet when they say "Adam Monroe is cool" or "Elle is a good addition to the show." If the actors schedule conflicts find a way to write them out for a bit... don't kill them.

So they need to just stop blowing smoke up our bums by saying "re-boot" and things are going to be much different and just do it without hyping anything.

Sorry, this turned into a rant but I hate them always claiming to "Re-Boot." When LOST struggled through their sophmore and junior season they didn't keep saying "we'll do better." They just said "Hang in there, it'll make sense." But Kring can't say that because he doesn't even have a plan that ties into a bigger picture.

I hope things get better.

http://www.buddytv.com/articles/image/heroes/haiku/heroes20.jpgHeroes (http://www.buddytv.com/Heroes.aspx) is coming back the Monday after the Superbowl, and expectations are high for a huge increase in the quality of the show. Critics and fans alike have been growing increasingly impatient with slow-moving storylines and the unwieldy size of the cast, but this new volume promises to be different. We're looking forward to a sleeker, more streamlined Heroes, and we're especially excited that Bryan Fuller, recently of Pushing Daisies (http://www.buddytv.com/pushing-daisies.aspx), will be back on the writing staff.

We've already shared with you some glimpses of the new volume (http://www.buddytv.com/articles/heroes/heroes-video-sneak-peeks-of-vo-25841.aspx) of Heroes, but we've recently gotten our hands on four new clips from the episode, “A Clear and Present Danger.”

Just wanted to let everyone know that recently (within the last few days) I've been following Wendy (one of the make up artists on Heroes) on Twitter. She posts a lot of who is filming on what day . . . and today she and Milo took a picture togeter. It looks like we'll be seeing (http://twitter.com/account/profile_image/wendilynnmakeup) some Future!Peter towards the end of the season! :D Also, large portions of the cast have been filming together recently. :p

Heroes: Masi Oka Talks Hiro Nakamura
Saturday, January 31, 2009

http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/heroes/hiro.jpgIntroduced as an office worker at Yamagato Industries in Tokyo, Japan, Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka (http://www.buddytv.com/masi-oka.aspx)) is the one character on Heroes (http://www.buddytv.com/Heroes.aspx) that aspires to the pure heroism of comic book crime fighters, shouldering the responsibility to use his powers for good. But when Heroes returns for its “Fugitives” volume, the quirky fan favorite who possesses the ability to teleport and travel through time will have to adjust to life without his powers. To make things worse, the dynamic between Hiro and his faithful best friend Ando Masahashi (James Kyson Lee (http://www.buddytv.com/james-kyson-lee.aspx)) is also rattled when it is Ando who has the powers while Hiro is left as normal human being.

In an interview with The Futon Critic, Hiro's portrayer Masi Oka sheds light on what's in store his character when Heroes returns with new episodes beginning February 2 on NBC.

"In the beginning, Hiro is powerless and Ando has a kind of super-charger powers so Hiro is trying to nudge him on. In many ways, he realizes now he's had his turn so he needs to see what he can do... [Hiro] takes on pretty much the role of the butler. He becomes Alfred…he tries to make a Batman out of Ando but Ando's reluctant and he only cares about girls right now so Hiro tries to make him use the power for good to save other people and, of course, Hiro ends up getting in trouble and Ando ends up helping him," Masi Oka told The Futon Critic.

While the twist of fate seems to entail some hurdles along the way, Oka doesn't seem to mind. In fact, he's interested to play the “powerless character.”

"You kind of get the joy of rediscovering that power and what it means to be a hero without powers. How does someone who had that power and someone who's powerless... it's an interesting character/mind thing. You kind of fall from grace in many ways [and] it's a balance of adjusting to that and how to live that and how you live your life and how you can still be a hero by helping others."

But seeing Hiro powerless isn't the only thing to look forward to this season. The much-awaited comeback of producer Bryan Fuller is also expected to bring Heroes back to the fundamentals that made the show worth watching.

Sylar With Gunshot Wound On The Back Of His Head ? (http://www.heroestelevision.com/sylar-with-gunshot-wound-head/)

Zachary Quinto and Greg Grunberg were snapped on location for “Heroes” in downtown L.A. yesterday. Quinto looked like he just rolled out of bed and was sporting what looked like a gunshot wound on the back of his head. Thoughts?

Episode 3x24 - Title Confirmed

Hey All,
We have just been informed by a couple of our sources that the title for Heroes Volume 4 Episode 3x24 is "I am Sylar"

Hmmm I guess this means we will be getting another Sylar-centric episode, which is interesting because there is another one scheduled for Episode 3x19 titled "Shades of Gray"

I like the title and it is the episode before the Season 3 finale so it will be really interesting to see. I just wonder if we will see Sylar take the form of some one else and then reveal himself to say something like "I am Sylar!!" :p

What do you all think!?

Thanks to Observ3r and Sherwinator for the heads up.

Also, some stuff from TVGuide Online (http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-24-Heroes-1003005.aspx):

Please tell this Heroes (http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/heroes/281246) fan that somehow Hiro or Peter will get the power to travel through time again so that they can go back and save Daphne. — Ashley
TIM: Good concept, but Heroes has promised us no time travel in this volume. Still, there are several ways Daphne (played by Brea Grant (http://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/brea-grant/293705)) could remain alive:
1. It was all a dream.
2. She used her super-speed to dodge the bullets, then faked her death.
3. They just do the time travel thing after promising not to.

Uhh . . . I don;t like any of those suggestions. XD I'd rather she just passed out from being shot in the arm and was left there.

Here's the full article (http://spoilertv-heroes.blogspot.com/2009/02/season-3-schedule-and-episode-3x22.html) about the episode scheduling:

Season 3 Schedule and Episode 3x22 Title Updated

Hey All,
Some of you probably know that on some sites Season 3 is scheduled for 25 episodes, but on other sites they list 26 total episodes with the season finale on April 27th.

Now what is right!? Well I have just been informed by NBC that actually a little of both.

NBC has just confirmed that Season 3 is indeed a total of 25 episodes (12 for Volume 4) and that the Season Finale is scheduled for April 27th.

However, if the season is only 25 episodes long and you look at a calendar you will notice that the season would end on April 20th.

So what accounts for the extra week? Well apparently NBC will either take a one week break or repeat one episode along the way. They do not know when the break/repeat will happen yet, but they did say it could happen as early as mid-March.

In the same message they also confirmed that the title for Episode 3x22 is actually "Turn and Face the Stranger" NOT "Face the Stranger".

Go figure!?

Well here is the current schedule for the rest of Season 3 and I removed the dates for the episodes from Mid-March and on.

Hopefully we will have more information soon and we will update as soon as we are informed.

NOTE: LOST has sometimes aired a "Recap" episode before the finale, so perhaps it could be something like that being planned.

Episode List - Updated 2-19-09
3x17 - Feb 23 - Cold Wars
3x18 - Mar 2 - Exposed
3x19 - Mar 9 - Shades of Gray
3x20 - TBD - Cold Snap
3x21 - TBD - Into Asylum
3x22 - TBD - Turn and Face the Stranger
3x23 - TBD - 1961
3x24 - TBD - I Am Sylar
3x25 - April 27th - Season Finale (Untitled )

Hey All,
A few weeks ago we posted several set photos of Hiro and Ando with a Baby. Immediate speculation was that the baby was Matt and Janice's baby.

We have learned that starting with Episode 3x19 Shades of Gray Baby Matt will be played by two twin babies named Quinn and Reed Baron and they will appear in a story arc that will span over at least 5 episodes.

The babies are pretty cute and even have their own Facebook page.

Below are some set photos from some recent filming where you can see Hiro, Ando and Matt. Also I think Janice is pictured in one of the pics.

Enjoy!

Episode 3x23 1961 - Young Dr. Zimmerman to Appear

Hey All,
We have just been informed that a Young Dr. Zimmerman will appear in Episode 3x23 1961. The episode is supposed to feature a flashback to the early days of The Company and be a Angela-centric episode.

We have also been informed that Ali Larter will definitely appear in the episode as well. I know Ali's appearance is nothing new because there was a report she appears in each of the last remaining episodes this season, but many of you were a little worried based on her not appearing in some images and press releases.

Whether she appears as Tracy or not I have no idea. Do not forget Dr. Zimmerman is responsible for creating triplets Tracy, Niki and sister Barbara who we have yet to see.

Heroes' Ando gives us spoilers for the rest of the season

http://scifiwire.com/assets_c/2009/03/Heroes_HiroClaireAndo-thumb-500x270.jpg
Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura (from left), Hayden Panettiere as Claire Bennet, James Kyson Lee as Ando Masahashi

James Kyson Lee, who plays the newly superpowered Ando on NBC's Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that viewers can expect to see more of him as the current season wraps.

Aside from the final act of last week's episode, we haven't seen Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando on Heroes for several weeks. Recent episodes dealt with Matt (Greg Grunberg), Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) interrogating Noah Bennett (Jack Coleman) and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) helping her former puppet-master tormenter escape. When the boys returned from India, they followed Rebel's message to Matt Parkman, but it turned out to be baby Matt, not grown-up Matt.

Lee spoke with us by phone last week to preview the remainder of the season. This season, Ando received a power of his own, the ability to supercharge other powers. The show also welcomed back writer Bryan Fuller, and NBC announced its pickup for a fourth season. The following Q&A features edited excerpts of our interview. Heroes returns with new episodes on March 23 at 9 p.m.

Will we see Hiro and Ando babysitting for a few episodes?
Lee: Well, I already had to babysit my buddy when he was a 10-year-old. I had some warmup experience. I wouldn't say babysit, but think of more adventures with a new partner, a new friend. I think when we come back, episode 20 is going to be a very big, very fun episode. There's a lot happening in that episode when we come back on the 23rd. Greg Yaitanes directed that one, and he's always been one of the fan favorites. Oh, and you're going to get to see Ando learn a new trick with his mojo, so that should be fun.

Yeah, what opportunities will he have to supercharge other powers?
Lee: Right now, we know that it can supercharge other people's abilities, but if you remember the very first episode of [volume three] "Villains," we got a glimpse into an alternate future where you saw Ando blast away my buddy with this sort of electric red lightning type of blast. So there's a lot more to this power than what's been revealed, and I think when we come back, you'll see one more new dimension to that ability.

So even though they prevented that future, you're going to call back to that power?
Lee: Well, I don't want to give away too much, but you'll be able to see if and how that could possibly happen. I'm not saying that that scene that we saw was going to happen at all, but in terms of seeing the ability evolve, you are definitely going to see that. I'll tell you, he'll be more than a supercharger. He'll be a lot more.

How much work do you do with an actual baby?
Lee: A lot. The industry norm is that you always work with twins. Then we had a prop baby, who our incredible special-effects prop department put together. I think that alone cost about seven grand. It was a very fragile; we had to be really careful with it.

Could baby Matt take after his dad?
Lee: Maybe, and you're definitely going to find out more about that on the episode on the 23rd. Yeah, don't be surprised. Now I wouldn't say the baby's reading other people's minds. I mean, he can barely talk, but maybe there's something else in store.

How has it felt to read Bryan Fuller scripts again?
Lee: Oh, so good. Let me tell you something, man. He's a special guy. I love, love, love having him back. He was part of the magic for season one. I was so happy for him for Pushing Daisies, and I loved the show. I thought it was so creative and wonderful. Now that he's back with us, oh, so great, so great. I hope all of us will be together for the entire run of the show. ...

Can you give us a sense of what volume five will be?
Lee: Well, I don't know exactly in terms of the direction of the arc of the volume, but you will get a little taste at the season finale. I can say that you will meet a new female baddie. I think Joe [Pokaski] and Aaron [Eli Coleite], our writers, kind of revealed that, gave that little teaser on their blog. You know what it is? The characters that we all came to know from the first season, I think we're sort of going back to the reality of their lives, meaning these are characters that actually live and they have to go back to their personal lives and whatnot, and the consequences of that after going through such an odd, supernatural series of events.

Cool little article/speculation by The ODI (http://heroesspoilers-odi.blogspot.com/2009/03/latest-tidbits-about-matt-jrs-potential.html):

Latest Tidbits About Matt Jr's Potential Ability

Hey All,
At the end of Episode 3x19 Shades of Gray, in their search for "Matt" Hiro and Ando were given a baby named "Matt Parkman".

This baby as most of us online call him Matt Jr is being played by two twins Quin and Reed Baron. Of course it has already been confirmed this is Matt's baby he had with Janice and many are speculating he has or will have some ability.

Well I can confirm he indeed DOES have an ability. What that ability really is I can not really say, but because of Matt Jr, we will see Hiro freeze or stop time again!!

Additionally, we have learned that the baby has been described as "salvation". What that really means I don't know exactly. Salvation as far as I know can mean to protect or redeem. So is this a clue to his ability!?

Obviously based on the fact most of the Heroes had no idea how to use their powers I would assume that Matt Jr does not know how to use it.

So what do you all think!? Happy we will see Hiro use his ability again!? Do you think it will be temporarily or he will get it back for good!? Will it change!?

Masi Oka - Interview

Throughout Heroes' "Fugitives" volume, many of the super-powered world savers have been communicating with and taking orders from a mysterious ally named Rebel. This Monday (at 9pm/ET, on NBC), the truth behind that mystery will be revealed. But before that happens, Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) has to babysit a little one seemingly connected to Matt Parkman. We caught up with Oka to get the details on this diapered distraction, what Rebel is really up to, and just when (if it all) Hiro will get his powers back.

TVGuide.com: The last episode ended with Hiro discovering that the Matt Parkman he was trying to save was a baby. How is that going to play out?
Masi Oka: The baby is definitely a little bit extraordinary. More will be revealed about the baby and its origin. It's just another crossing of the paths in terms of the destinies of Hiro and Matt Parkman.

TVGuide.com: We knew Parkman's ex-wife was pregnant in Season 1, but Matt was sure it wasn't his baby. Is this kid even his?
Oka: That's all part of the reveal, but the baby is Matt Parkman's baby. So, what does that mean? We'll find out.

TVGuide.com: When Hiro gets to Parkman, what's his reaction?
Oka: It's like anything in life. You think you have your life sorted out, and you're ready to charge in and live your life for good, but now you have something to possibly protect. Once you become a father, it definitely changes your mindset and what you're willing to do. But at the same time, what does it mean to protect your child? Does it mean risking your life to make a better world, or doing nothing and staying at home?

TVGuide.com: I'd imagine Hiro was pretty baffled when he found the baby, too. What's going on in his head?
Oka: I think Hiro's definitely a little bit shocked — he was not expecting it. And Hiro shies away from babies. After having a stern father figure and also going through what he went through with his mother, he's a little uncomfortable. He doesn't know how to behave around babies. So, there's definitely going to be a little comedy based on all that — you have two men and a baby.

TVGuide.com: Rebel sent Hiro to find this baby. Will we find out more about Rebel and his/her connection to Hiro?
Oka: Well, you will find out who Rebel is Monday. You will absolutely know who Rebel is.

TVGuide.com: Is it someone we know or a new character?
Oka: [Pauses] It will not be someone completely new.

TVGuide.com: Hiro seems to have learned that he can be a hero without powers. Will that continue to be the case for him?
Oka: He's learned his lesson in not having powers. He's gone through his journey, but Hiro will definitely get his powers back — this Monday or in the next episode. But there's going to be a little twist to his power. It's going to be a little different.

TVGuide.com: Could that twist have something to do with the show's commitment to no longer time-travel?
Oka: I can say we're definitely not going to have any more time travel. Being able to time-travel is so powerful. You can do too much and it creates a lot of headaches. So, in order to keep the story clean and cohesive, the writers have made a decision to do away with time-travelling.

TVGuide.com: That aspect of the show has been pointed to in much of the negative press around the series. Has that impacted general fan reaction to you and your character?
Oka: When I've interacted with fans, they've all been very gracious. They still love the show and they still love the character. For me, watching as a fan, I think Hiro has gone through so much. I do want him to grow a little bit but still remain who he is. He's very pure at his core. And perhaps when trying to bring up the comedy, as seasons have changed, Hiro became more of a clown than he needed to be. Now he's not as naive, but he still believes in his comic book destiny.

TVGuide.com: What's it been like having Bryan Fuller back?
Oka: It's been amazing working with Bryan. He's always been a fantastic writer and a fantastic friend. I loved Pushing Daisies, which didn't get the life span it probably deserved, but it's great to have him back. Having him be a part of that magical first season and then step away and come back, it brings back that energy and kind of an outside perspective. It's great to have a writer everyone respects and enjoys working with back in the room. And the show's going toward having smaller and more character-based stories, so having Bryan there really helps with that focus.

TVGuide.com: Can Hiro and Ando exist without one another?
Oka: They compliment each other well. Those create something special. The whole is greater than the sum of their parts. They need each other, but at the same time, we've gotten to a point where they can go their own ways if necessary.

TVGuide.com: What can we expect from Hiro and Ando as the season works toward the finale?
Oka: When Hiro gets his powers back, there's kind of a final mission. Rebel has something in mind for them once the current mission is over. So, we're moving forward to a finale that wraps a lot of things up. The volume started with Hiro being captured, so he knows that some of his fellow powered folk have been captured as well. He's going to have a hand in trying to fix that situation somehow. But it also forces him to make a choice, and he's going to have to make a sacrifice in a situation that could be life threatening.

TVGuide.com: Can we assume that Rebel is going to become the leader of the heroes?
Oka: Well, you can assume anything you want. [Laughs]

Hey All,
Here is an interesting little tidbit that our friends at SpoilerTV posted. I would definitely put this down as a fan updating IMDB. You never know though!?

I almost did not post this, but since I am hoping Claude does return and I want NBC to know many of you are wishing for the same thing, why not let them know!

Comment away!!

Thanks to Nathalie for the heads up.

Thanks to heroesfan4eva for the following.

I was browsing on Christopher Eccleston's IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1394706/) and noticed he was listed as cast in the season 3 finale, An Invisible Thread.

What do you mean, older version of Alex? It can't be. They were taking a break from time travel ;) Oh, but that doesn't mean Hiro won't get ALL his abilities back at some point, I guess.

Fuller Reveals Spoilers in New Interview

Hey All,
Heroes writer Bryan Fuller recently had an interview with SciFi Wire (http://scifiwire.com/2009/04/bryan-fuller-is-honest-ab.php) and confirmed once again that we will see Ali Larter as Tracy this season and not Barbara. He also provided some more tidbits for the rest of the season.

Here are the spoilery parts of the interview and check out SciFi Wire for the whole interview.

Thanks to Nathalie for the heads up!!

In season one, you really found Claire and HRG's voices, but recently, in "Cold Snap," Tracy Strauss seemed to be your new muse, except you shattered her into little fragments. Is that the last we've seen of her?

Fuller: Oh, no. There was a lot of debate over whether she's winking, but no, she's not winking. She's blinking, and a tear comes down. There was miscommunication with the visual effects, where you were only supposed to see one of her eyes. It was definitely a blink and a shedding of a tear. Tracy comes back in a really big way later on in the season. That was one of the things where it was like, "Is she going to come back as Barbara now?" I was thinking "Can we please not do Barabara, because that's another sci-fi ghetto storytelling element with clones. How many Ali Larters are there?" I wish there were dozens, because I'm a fan of hers, but watching Ali in the first season, you know what she's really capable of.

Where would you like to see Tracy go in the future then?

Fuller: The journey is about getting Tracy's humanity back. What she learned from her encounter with Micah/Rebel made a huge impact on her. She is going to be following that through-line the next season. There is that realization she has been approaching politics from the wrong angle. In the fourth year, Tracy will have a new perspective that may not be right, but it's more understandable than before.

Can you tease viewers about the remaining episodes this season?

Fuller: There's actually a lot of really fun character work happening in the last four episodes that the writing staff is proud of. We'll see Matt retaliate against Danko in a very interesting way. We'll also see Sylar strike at the heart of HRG's life in a way that causes things for him to unravel. The episode after that is essentially "Company Man" for Angela Petrelli, where we'll be doing a flashback to her life in 1961 and the events that happened there, which really motivates who she is now. In episode 24, we get to the heart of Sylar's identity crisis, and we clearly understand what his agenda is, what he's after and who the people in his life are that made the biggest impact. Episode 25 is our big finale.

This is for both this season and next season, but I'll put it in here. Enjoy! :)

Jack Coleman Talks About Season 3 and 4!!

Hey All,
Heroes star Jack Coleman who plays HRG recently had an interview with Digital Spy where he atlkas about Season 3, a deleted story line that would've had HRG mentoring Rebel (Micah), the return of Bryan Fuller, and the potential plan schedule for Season 4.

He talks about much more, so check it out!

It's been a tough couple of years for Heroes. After a phenomenally successful first season, its shortened second year came in for criticism for being slowly paced. The current season has been panned for the opposite reasons, after a series of complicated and punchy plotlines left many a viewer confused. But in recent episodes, with season one writer Bryan Fuller back on board, its fortunes have begun to turn. I caught up with Jack Coleman - aka goodie-baddie Noah Bennet/HRG - at last weekend's Memorabilia convention in Birmingham to get the inside scoop.

So what do you make of events like this?
"This is really only the second one like this that I've done. The first one was London Comic Con. This is very much in the mould of Comic Con [in San Diego] with the combination of signing, and doing pictures, a little Q&A and things like that. London Comic Con was crazy – there were way too many people - I was there with Hayden, Milo and Adrian and I think because there were four of us it created a kind of mob mentality. It actually got a little scary at times! So this is very, very low key because no-one's that interested in me."

How does it compare to the one in San Diego?
"Oh, for the one in San Diego they whisk us in and they whisk us out and we don't do any of this – that would be mayhem! I don't remember how many people were in the auditorium when we were there last year but it was six thousand or something. There were literally people camping out the night before! That could have been carnage, because we were all there – the more of you that are there, the more it whips up a frenzy."

What sort of things do people say to you when they come up and see you at the table?
"Oh, mostly it's just that they like the show and they like the character and they'll ask a question about the character. 'Are you ever going to get a power?', that kind of thing."

Damn, that's one of my questions out then.
"Haha! Yeah, cross out number four!"

So how does doing this convention fit into your schedule, filming-wise?
"Well, we just finished for the season. That was 25 episodes – almost ten months straight of filming, so when this came up I took the chance to come here. It really is the first time that my break coincided with my daughter's school break. I usually go back to work right as she's about to get off from school and it's a terrible disconnect between our schedules! We just can't ever go anywhere. We're turning this into a two-week vacation, which is perfect with my daughter's Spring break. We're going to go up to Liverpool tomorrow do a little Beatles tour and then we're going to go to Paris for a few days and then we'll be in London for eight days – I'm very excited."

So what did you make of the reveal of who Rebel was? Did you know all along?
"Oh yeah, I mean we knew who it was a long time ago. What's interesting is that originally there was going to be a storyline where I was going to be the one who rescues Rebel. They were going to do a whole story, sort of like The Professional [aka Léon], where Noah mentors the young protegé and he would have been living in my apartment. But between episode 20 and 25 there was just too much story. There were a couple of really great storylines they had to drop and that was one of the ones that got dropped. The last five episodes of the year I think are really strong."
What's it been like having Bryan Fuller back?
"It's great to have Bryan back – he's such a good storyteller. Everything comes from character and he writes funny, ironic dialogue. Masi and James are great together again, they're funny – it's funny but with a purpose and with heart and you see how Hiro relates to little baby Matt Parkman and how he connects that back to the loss of his mother, so it's all connected in character. It's not catalysts and formulas and all the sci-fi things that I think the show got carried away with. I think that in having Bryan back, everyone has realised this is what we need to get back to. We're telling fewer stories, they're more connected to character, they're much more heartfelt and I think that from the rest of this volume it really pays off in a nice way."

The show has had a bit of a tough time this year. What's been your take on that from the inside?
"Well, very much what I just said – I think that a lot of what happened was it got too genre-fied - it got too sci-fi. I think what people loved about it in the first season, it was a drama with a sci-fi backdrop. I think that got lost. I think there were too many characters and there was too much story. But we shoot so far in advance, because the show takes forever – it's 10 to 12 days of shooting, then the post-production on the show is enormous, so we're 6 to 8 months out ahead of the audience – it does not turn on a dime, so slowly but surely. I mean even Bryan Fuller coming in, it's not like he can come in and go 'OK, these are the stories I'm going to tell'. They may be the stories he's going to tell eventually, but you've got to pick up the playbook where it is and start aiming it in the direction! Everybody's on the same page now which is good. There's less stories now per episode – you're not going to see six different stories in an episode."

That's true. It felt like at the start of the season, it was just becoming too complicated. I'd watch it one week and then not really remember what had happened the previous week, but recently it has just been pared down to three or four stories that you really can follow.
"And people's motivations need to be clear. It needs to be consistent and it needs to be compelling and I feel very hopeful about the direction we're moving in now. I think that it's really getting back to that. I think that this entire volume has been really good, and particularly from the middle of it on is really strong."

What can we expect from the rest of the season? How does it build towards the finale?
"Well, obviously without being spoilerific – that's one of those words that you see isn't it, online? – I think that there's definitely a build to a climax with Sylar, with the Bennets and the Petrellis, and it focuses a lot on those two families and how they relate to Sylar. So it's familiar people, familiar stories – when I say familiar stories, the stories will not be familiar; they won't be stories you've seen or heard or would predict - but it's building on those characters and those stories that we have told about those characters to something which is.... I'm trying to figure out a way to give you some sort of direction without spoiling it... but it ends in a very unexpected way, which is a great catapult into the next season."

How much do you know about the next season and how much are you told? How much do you want to know, even?
"We always want to know everything! But from what they tell us now to what we're going to end up doing in three months' time, a lot changes. So I have an idea of what's happening next season but whatever idea I have will be quite a bit different. They haven't started writing scripts yet. The writers get a week off and then they're right back at it. I think one of the things that is good is that it's slowing down a little bit and when you watch an episode – at the end of the episode, as you said before, you know what you've just watched. You know what happened and you know who it was about, as opposed to a frenzy of story and effects and things blowing up. It's much more focused."

Greg caused a bit of chaos on the internet, on his Twitter, a couple of weeks ago suggesting that the show might not be back...
"He didn't suggest that, he said 'We're saying goodbye at the end of the season and we don't know who's back – we don't know who of us is back'. He was referring mostly to crew. The actors are one of 200 people on the set and these are people we work with every day. I mean I'll work with James from Props and Wendy from Makeup more than I'm going to work with any of the other actors! So when he said 'we're saying goodbye to everybody' I really think that's what he meant and when I read the comment – what he literally said – I think it was much more about the crew. Some crew members take other jobs, some come back, some don't and I think that's really more what it was. But it seems like it maybe forced NBC's hand to come out and say 'no no no no!'"

And they've picked you up for 18 episodes next year, haven't they?
"Eighteen to twenty, yeah. But it's also partly because we're going to start early enough that we can finish by Christmas without an interruption. Then they have the Olympics so we would be pre-empted a month centrally anyway, and I think that's why we're talking about a slightly shorter run."

Do you reckon that'll be one volume or two?
"Probably two, but I don't know – I'm just guessing. If it's twenty episodes I'm almost sure it'll be two volumes, but if it's eighteen episodes it might be one – I don't know. It'll depend on when they sit down to figure out exactly what stories and what amount of time they want to tell in the first say, ten episodes. But if it's twenty episodes it'll probably be two volumes."

AAAAAAANNNNNDDDD . . . . . fandom is thrown into a disgusted frenzy all over the interwebs. :rotfl: Seriously people are like "The show has jumped the shark" and saying "This is it - I'm leaving the show" and "They've ruined Sylar's charicter" and so on. I find it hilarious. Sylar is sick and twisted and I loves him so, and I can't wait to see how it plays out. I always said that I would stick around until the end - a little thing like Sylaire isn't going to scare me away! :lmao:

As for the returning character - I really hope that it's Claude (or even a back-from-the-dead Adam), but it's probably Tracy.
