Not much commentary in this, It's just a walk though of all of Locke's visible actions and interactions. Feel free to make some corrections. I have not yet gone through Episode 14 - Special yet but I wanted to get what I had up. There is no new information but it is gathered in one place. This is mostly for my own analysis of Locke and what he may be up to but who know what can come of it. Sorry about the length.
Locke Walk Thru
Pilot
Day 1 - Crash
Jack calls Locke and someone else to lift a tire off of a man trapped underneath. While helping that man Locke unsuccessfully tries to warn another about getting too close to the engine.
After the immediate crisis is over and the excitement has died down, Locke sits on the beach and stares off into the sea presumably contemplemplating what was revealed to us in Episode 4.
That night the "monster" [For the rest of this analysis, I will refer to it as Trogdor.] makes a near appearance in the trees a little bit away from the beach camp.
Day 2
While Kate is removing shoes from a body for the hike into the Jungle of Mystery she and Locke make eye contact and he smiles at her with an orange in his mouth. This apparently did not comfort Kate very much.
A storm suddenly engulfs the island. While everyone else is running for cover Locke remains seated on the beach and extends his arms welcoming the rain.
Episode 2
Day 2
Flashback - Charlie
During Charlie's first flashback he runs by Locke who is sitting in an aisle seat with his head back and eyes closed.
Later that day, Locke is sitting on the beach setting up a game of backgammon. Walt comes up from behind and asks about the game. Locke proceeds to explain the history of backgammon to Walt. An interesting point from Locke's dialog about the game.
* * * * Two players. Two sides. One is light. One is dark.
He then leans in and asks Walt if he wants to know a secret. He tells Walt that a miracle happened there. Walt tells this to Michael the next day in Episode 3. Locke presumably then continues to teach Walt how to play based on Walt beating Hurley in Episode 11.
Episode 3
Day 3
Locke is making a whistle that evening as the marshal is dying in the infirmary.
Day 4
Early in the morning Locke uses the whistle to call Vincent. He then wakes Michael so that Michael can bring Vincent to Walt. As michael does this, Locke is sitting in the sand watching them. [The happy background music fades as the camera swings around to hold on Locke...Double check this but a growl is heard in the background.]
Episode 4
Flashback - Locke
Locke is lying on the beach after the crash. As he lies there, looking around he notices that his toes wiggle. He then puts on his shoes and looks around in wonder.
Day 4
Late Night.
Locke identifies the creatures rummaging through the fuselage as boar, and smiles.
Day 5
Locke throws a knife within a foot of Sawyer's head to get everyone's attention. He then explains the hunting pattern of a boar and his own strategy for hunting the boar. At this point he reveals that he has at least six various hunting knives. [For the record, none of the visible knives in Locke's case match the one used to cut Sayid down in Episode 9.]
Flashback - Locke
We realize that Locke works on TPS reports in an office cubicle reporting to some annoying young snot named Randy.
During the hunt, Locke explains to Kate and Michael how they are on the boar's trail. As they get closer to the boar Michael explains to Kate that he wasn't in Walt's life until two weeks ago.
Locke seems to take note of this. They approach the boar and as Locke is giving them silent instructions, Michael shows his impatience, blurting out a comment to Locke. This alerts the boar and it charges. Locke pulls Kate out of the way and lands hard on the ground.
Flashback - Locke
Locke is playing a military strategy game with GL-12. Locke reprimands GL-12 for lacking patience. Randy mocks Locke for the game and for having a Walkabout brochure. Locke explains what a walkabout is and that he is going. Of importance is what Locke defines as a walkabout.
* * * * A walkabout is a journey of spiritual renewal where one derives strength from the earth and becomes inseparable from it.
GL-12 refers to Helen, a person in Locke's life. Randy mocks him for thinking he has a destiny. Locke then proceeds to quietly tell Randy not to tell him what he can't do.
Day 5
Locke looks at his feet and then begins to get up. Ignoring Michael, he looks around and asks Kate which way the boar went. Kate tells him he can't go. Walking away, Locke tells Kate, "Don't tell me what I can't do."
Flashback - Locke
Locke is lying in bed in his home. "I have never felt so alive." He is talking to Helen. He tells Helen that he told Randy off. This is slightly different than what apparently happened. In his home there is a an American flag hanging on the wall as well as a smaller flag on his nightstand.
There is an individual coffee pot, several war-type pictures hanging and a handheld gieger-counter.
* * * * I'm free to do all those things I ever wanted to do, things that I know I was destined to do, like we talked about, Helen.
While talking he reaches out an turns off the TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) unit on the side of the bed. He explains to Helen that he has two tickets for his walkabout, implying that he'd like Helen to come with him. Unfortunately, Helen is an expensive ($89/hour) phone escort of some sort and is not allowed to meet customers even though they have been talking for eight months. Helen suggests he find a therapist. Locke is taken aback by this but Helen hangs up on him.
Day 5
Locke is closing in on the boar. He hears the boar running. Locke takes off toward the squeals. Suddenly he stops when the squeals turn into loud growling. In front of him, the trees shake and quiver as something much larger than the wild boar is in front of him. With the knife in his hand, Locke backs away slowly. Locke swallows hard. He can still hear the thing through the trees directly in front of him. Looking up, Locke slowly backs up. It comes through the trees. It apparently
looks at Locke. Locke looks back up at the creature. Locke backs up as the creature clears the trees in front of it.
Later that day, Locke returns from the jungle with a dead boar.
That night Michael congratulates Locke on bringing the boar back. Michael asks him if he saw Trogdor. He says no.
Flashback - Locke
Locke is arguing with the travel agent about being able to go on the walkabout. Locke misrepresented himself when booking the trip. Locke states he has had his condition for the last four years and it has not inhibited him at all. The travel agent refuses to let Locke on the bus and tells him that he can't do this. Locke starts shouting not to tell him what he can't do and about this being his destiny. He watches as the bus leaves him behind.
The flashback continues to Locke standing, presumably for the first time in four years. As he is getting his footing Jack comes to call him over for help.
Day 5
Nightime. At the memorial service Locke looks as his wheelchair sits near the burning fuselage as Claire reads the names of the dead.
Episode 5
Day 6
Locke, Kate and Sayid discuss the water shortage. Locke comments that with Jack gone, the two of them are needed at the camp. He then volunteers to go search for water claiming that he knows where to look.
In the jungle, Locke saves a spinal surgeon dangling from a cliff. Once safely on solid ground, Locke and Jack discuss the others. Locke states that they need a leader. Jack doesn't want the position. He doesn't believe he can lead.
Locke takes the conversation in a different path by asking Jack why he's out there. Jack tells Locke that he is chasing something. Locke alludes to Alice in Wonderland's white rabbit. Jack concedes to hallucinating but Locke offers a different perspective.
* * * * I'm an ordinary man, Jack. Meat and potatoes. I live in the real world. I'm not a big believer in ... magic. But this place is different. It's special. The others don't want to talk about it because it scares them.
But we all know it, and we all feel it. Is your White Rabbit a hallucination? Probably. But what if everything that happened here happened for a reason? What if this person that you're chasing is really here?
. . . But I've looked into the eye of this island, and what I saw ... was beautiful.
Locke then leaves to continue his trek for water but encourages Jack to continue in his quest, reasserting that he is the leader of these people.
Episode 6
Day 7
Locke goes with Jack, Kate and Charlie to the caves to retrieve fresh water for the rest of camp. When they get to the camp Charlie slips away to take a hit. Charlie pulls his drugs out of his pocket when Locke warns him that he's standing on a bee hive. He instructs Kate to get something to
cover the hive. The hive breaks and everyone is sent running.
Locke and Charlie catch up with Jack and Kate in another cave, the cave with the bodies. Charlie asks if the bodies were the people that were they before them. Locke does not seem to know what he is talking about. He comments that these people were a version of their Adam and Eve.
Locke offers to stay in the caves with Charlie while Jack and Kate take the water back to the beach. Charlie starts to leave but Locke follows stating he will not break line of sight. Locke then states that he knows who Charlie is and what he is looking for. Locke tells Charlie that he recognizes him from Driveshaft, that he knows Charlie played bass. Locke prophesies to Charlie that he will see his guitar again. Locke states that he has faith.
Charlie again tries to slip off to use his drugs but Locke confronts him. Locke explains that a painful detox is inevitable and if Charlie gives it up willingly it will be his choice. Locke asks him if he wants his guitar.
* * * * What I know is that this island just might give you what you're looking for, but you have to give the island something.
Charlie gives Locke the drugs and Locke tells Charlie to look up. The guitar is on a landing above them.
Episode 7
Day 8
Locke asks Charlie to go for a walk. Charlie follows but no longer sees Locke. A boar comes charging out of the wilderness and begins to chase Charlie through the jungle. The boar falls into a trap laid by Locke. Locke congratulates Charlie for being excellent bait. Charlie demands his drugs back.

After the cave in on Jack, Charlie comes to Locke who is skinning the boar caught earlier that day.
Charlie asks for his drugs a second time. Locke shows him the chrysalis and explains that the moth must emerge through its own efforts.

Locke throws the suspicion on to Sawyer. Sayid believes Sawyer has an alibi. Locke picks apart Sawyer's alibi by throwing out a theory about time rigging a fuse. Sayid believes Locke and goes after Sawyer.
Episode 9

Sayid falls into a trap, a snare of some sort while avoiding a tripwire. He hangs all day. At night someone with a knife apporaches and cuts him down. [Apparently a different knife that those visible in Locke's collection.]
That night Locke shows up at the caves with Ethan who has spotted rabbit tracks. Locke is going back out to continue hunting and Walt wants to go with him. Michael refuses to allow Walt to go.

Claire (not pregnant) walks away from camp through the jungle to find Locke sitting at a desk. The desk has a lamp and Locke draws a tarot card. It makes the sound of a knife pulled from it's sheath.

While Jack is trying to make sense of what Hurley is telling him, he is trying to find Charlie and Ethan. Locke tells him that Charlie went after Claire. The two of them run through the jungle down the path from the caves to the beach. Locke notices Claire's bag. He points out the footprints to Jack and suggests that there was a struggle and that Charlie and Claire have been taken. Jack begins to shout Charlie's and Claire's names but Locke shushes him.
Locke firmly places the suspicion on Ethan paraphrasing Sayid saying there were others. Locke tells Jack that the tracks are fresh but they should go back to the caves and organize a search party. Jack does not want to wait and demands to know which way they went. Locke points his knife in a direction and Jack takes off.
Ten minutes later Locke is back at the caves talking to Kate who decides to go with him, with no surprise to him. Boone offers to help and Shannon mocks him. Locke then explains the tracking process and takes Boone up on his offer.
* * * * No one can walk through the wilderness without leaving signs - bending blades of grass, breaking twigs. Especially with captives in tow.
Michael stops Locke before they leave wanting to help withthe search. Locke dismisses the idea of him helping by telling Michael to go south while they go north.
A short time later, Locke leads the search party to Jack who has been running in circles. Locke urges Jack to go back to camp and let them fill their roles. For the second time Jack does not even listen to Locke.
4:25pm
Locke explains to Boone about tracking their progress using the red markers in case something happens to him. Locke decides to take a break. While Kate takes Jack off to cool down Locke finds the "L" that was taped to Charlie's finger. Jack decides that Charlie is leaving a trail and Locke nods in agreement.
Further in the jungle Jack finds another taped letter while Locke finds another trail. Locke states that people (plural) moved off in a different direction that Charlie's finger tape trail. Jack suggests they split up while Locke insists they stay together. Jack refuses to listen a third time.
After they split up Boone explains the red shirt theory. Locke dismisses thirty years of STAR TREK lore by claiming Kirk was a piss-poor captain. [gasp!] Boone asks what Locke did in the real world.
Locke tells Boone that he was a regional collections supervisor for a box company.
A short time later, Boone asks Locke what they had been following for the last 15 minutes. Locke tells Boone they've been following his gut. Locke then asks Boone about his life back home. Locke then tells Boone that it will start raining in a minute and that he should head back. Locke states he can take care of himself. Boone alse refuses to listen to Locke. It then starts to rain.

Locke simply responds, "It!" Boone decides to head back to camp. Locke tosses him the flashlight stating that Boone needs it more than he. Boone doesn't catch the flashlight and it drops hitting something steel. Locke abandons the notion to go off searching for anything and determines to find out what they found.

Boone expresses his concern about people talking about them not bringing back any boar. Locke states that figuring out the hatch is their priority.
Kate's take on Locke is that he may not want to feed everyone else at his expense.
Boone cannot break the hatch's glass. Locke is mixing the hallucingenic paste. Boone asks about it but Locke says it's for later. Boone is unsure of what they are supposed to be doing. Locke tells the Michaelangelo story. They have to figure out how to open the hatch.
* * * * How do you open that has no handle, no latch, no discernable way of opeining it?
Later, Boone insists that they have to tell the others. Locke says they are not ready and they won't understand it. Boone says he doesn't understand it to which Locke replies, "That's the problem."
Boone insists on telling Shannon. Locke asks if he's sure of the ramifications of deciding to tell Shannon. Boone replies yes, to which Locke knocks him over the head with his knife.
Boone later comes to tied up. Locke is mixing the vision quest paste and tells Boone that this is what's best for him. Locke puts the paste on Boone's wound and tells him whether he stays is up to him. Locke tells Boone that he will be able to cut himself free once he's found the proper motivation. Locke leaves Boone tied up with a knife.
Locke sneaks up on Sayid. He's sneakier than he gives himself credit. Locke lies to Sayid saying Boone was hunting and he was taking the day off. Sayid explains that he is trying to make something out of Rousseau's maps. Locke quickly interjects that there is nothing to make. Locke notices Sayid's primitive compass and offers his own claiming he doesn't need it anymore.
Sayid explains to Jack later that Locke gave him a defective compass.
Jack comes up on Locke sitting on the beach. Jack asks Locke where Boone is and Locke lies telling Jack that he had not seen Boone today. Locke tells Jack that the boar are migrating because of the predator threat. Man, the most dangerous predator of all.
Charlie's take on Locke: If there's one person he puts his absolute faith in to save them all, it would be John Locke.
Boone's take on Locke: He's smart and the only one who has a clue of what's going on.
Boone arrives at camp that night and attacks Boone. Boone tells Locke that the thing killed his sister. Locke calls his attention to the fact there is no blood on him. Locke asks him if that what it made him see and that the hallucination was as real as Boone made it. Locke then asks him how he felt when he saw Shannon die. Boone says he felt relieved to which Locke tells him that it's time to let go. Locke tells Boone to then follow him.

Nighttime. Boone asks Locke if they are lost. Locke insists they are not lost. Boone asks how they could still be following anything. Locke asks, "Don't you feel it?" Boone responds, "Feel what?"

Episode 13
Day 23
Locke calls Boone away from a confrontation with Sayid. He tells Boone to put aside their differences. Locke recognizes Sayid as being competent and that they will want Sayid on their side.
