This image shows that Locke was sitting behing Rose:

So, where is the wheelchair? If a flight attendant rolled him to his seat and then helped him out of his wheelchair, and then stowed the wheelchair somewhere else... wouldn't someone have noticed? Certainly Jack or Rose?

Does anyone know how they usually handle someone in a wheelchair on a flight?

Wheelchair passengers get on the plane first and are usually the very last off.

Locke was likely already on the plane and seated before any of the other passengers boarded.

Feldspar is correct.

Normally storage of wheelchairs (and strollers) are kept in a compartment near the front of the plane)

The wheelchair also made it through the crash because they were using it in the first couple of episodes as a trolly, lugging big objects back and forth
