I dunno if this is where to put it, so move it as you see fit if need be. :p

Even though most of us probably thought it was already long gone, its death certificate was signed when Distribution Video Audio of Palm Harbor, Fla. -- the last major supplier of VHS tapes -- shipped the last of its salable stock. Distribution Video Audio made $20 million per year selling tons of tapes cheaply, but now the business has vanished.

Bye bye, VHS!

I knew if I just held onto my Betamax investment for long enough, things would work out.

Can we hide this thread, before Vonne sees it?

I really, really need to convert the loads of VHS tapes I have, including my high school short film.

:yeah: I still want a VHS player. The only ones I can find are paired with a DVD player.

Well, the DVD industry will have to catch up before I get rid of my VHS. I've got a ton of movies from the 70s and 80s on VHS that have not been released on DVD, and probably will never be.

Well you're all about to be SOL when I finish buying up every available VHS tape left in the country.

I will however make them available through one of our site affiliates, so your pain will be the site's gain.
