No, this isn't a kinky fantasy post.

In Locke's apartment when he's on the phone talking to "Helen", what is the thing next to his bed with the green screen? The thing he turns off while talking to her?

I doubt it has any FORESHADOWING EFFECT OF DOOM! on the show, I just am interested in knowing what it is.

Some (on various boards) have speculated that it's this machine that people use to stimulate the leg muscles so that they don't atrophy (or at least don;t atrophy as quickly).

I was going to ask the same thing.

That makes sense MX. Locke told the walkabout guy that he'd been preparing for a year. I assumed that meant he'd been excercising his legs, but something to stimulate the muscles would work too.

Not sure if that's what it was.......looked kinda large to me. What you refer to is a EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulator) and they come quite small these days...... at least the ones I've seen.

Someone said that he turned it off when he started talking to Helen but I'd have to go back and watch again because I thought it was a radio he turned off.

i know this is semi... ok REALLY off-topic but have you noticed almost everything has the FORESHADOWING EFFECT OF DOOM on the show? i dont know about everyone else but for me it is hard to keep up with everything that has the FEOD! just thought i would add that in
