Hey all,

I didn't go over all the threads so if this was mentioned please ignore me, but what if there was no monster...

We see Locke standing there, looking up and alot of people assume it's the "monster" and that he either makes a deal with it, or thinks it's wonderfull or something cause of the smile he has...

what if it's just the wild boar? The show tries to play him as not being all there... His annoying boss makes fun of him for going on a "walk"about since he's in a wheelchair... he's playing a wargame, which might be an attempt to show he's not always with reality (please take that with a grain of salt, as I myself play table top miniature games), he's also in some fantasy world thinking the phone "sex" girl "Helen" would want to go with him...

So what if the grin on his face is just the satisfaction he has of being face to face with the boar... cause he then comes back with the boar...

The talk he has about seeing the island and it being magical might just be about his being able to walk again and not anything to do with this "monster"

just a thought.

I still believe that the monster is the security system, and that when locke saw it, the security system did not view locke as a threat. but the dynamite in the finale was def a threat and that is why it attacked locke then.

So what happened to the pilot? and what dragged Locke down the hole?

ETA: I think this was originally postulated *before* the dragging-down-the-hole thing, but my question remains in regards to the pilot.

Look at my theory-Well Rousseau told that there is no monster..So I think that too...hm and with the pilot-maybe a crazy polar bear killed him and then threw him..;p..well the worst of all is that here in bulgaria the film is just in the beginning and that my poor theory.:)

what if it's just the wild boar?
With all due respect, what normally sized boars have you heard of that go knocking down trees and climbing in them?

Yeah, and wasn't the Pilot pulled straight up out of the cockpit window? That would have to be a humongous Polar bear. He'd have to be as tall as a very large tree.

ETA: TheBigFan, to keep from being spoiled by all the talk on the main board. Why don't you take a look at the General Discussion Area: International (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8) board. This way you'll stay spoiler free.

Plus, on the DVDs David Fury, Jack Bender and Terry O'Quinn all say that it is the monster that Locke saw.

Careful with the DVD special features. They're considered spoilers, but I think everybody agrees with your last post.
